This company is quite simply the perfect example of customer service. From my first conversations with Barb to the final installation with Adam, they were so communicative and so professional. I’ve got an old house, and there were a few unexpected little things that came up, and they handled them quickly and perfectly. I could not imagine a better experience with a company. And the product is absolutely first rate. Don’t go with anyone else!

Pat Walter’s and Sons was recommended frequently on the neighborhood association site, and now I know why!! I called them for a second opinion and glad I did, because we didn’t end up needing a whole new system as previously recommended by the first company.

Lorne was professional, very knowledgeable (about spiders too as one crossed his path lol), and wasn’t looking just to make a sale. He was able to correctly diagnose the issue quickly and popped in a new modulator within minutes! Problem solved! The other guys took four hours to find the issue, ordered two parts as a trial run with no success, then continued to misdiagnose the issue!! Not only that, they brought in their sales manager!! Yikes!!

I got four bids When I needed to replace my furnace. It is a downdraft furnace into a slab and it is propane. The guy that came out was just it…. Every other salesman that came out, had a hard time even figuring out what I needed. This guy came out and just put me at ease. His level of competence was night and day compared to the others. Had no problem coming up with a competitive price for exactly what I needed. He walked me through my options and didn’t push anything.
It was a great experience from start to finish.

I've had techs from Pat Walters & Sons service my AC and furnace a few times. Always had a great experience: quick to schedule and show up, nice people who explain what they're doing and looking for, reasonable pricing, always straight to the point/fix without trying to upsell or push a replacement system even when our system is over a decade old. I've also always felt comfortable with the workers when I'm alone at the house, never had a bad experience.

Got furnace from Costco, Pat Walter and Sons is the company who installed it. I called them this morning 8am since my furnace was not working last night, they send someone and the furnace is back up running by noon. Craig was the service guy, he is very professional and friendly. I strongly recommend Pat Walter and Sons to people who need heating and cooling service.

We had a 35 year old Lennox Pulse furnace and Lennox AC that had us on borrowed time but decided to get quotes before anything broke. Costco was one of the quotes who contracted with Pat Walters and Sons. We could not have been more pleased! Barb gave us our quote and she was very informative. Bought our furnace from them. They were great. Thermostat failed and they replaced same day. Even came back out to check calibration.

I was extremely pleased with the professional and competent service I received from sales through installation. The price was fair and all the people I dealt with were very pleasant. I would highly recommend them and will use them again.

The install guys went above and beyond when installing our new furnace and A/C. Took there time and cleaned up really well. Very easy to talk with and answered all my questions I had. Love the whole crew here. They are responsive and pragmatic problem solvers. Appreciate that they keep my older Lennox furnace humming along and don’t pressure me to do more than is needed. Lately they fixed a capacitor that blew out with the power surges from the recent ice storm. The techs also seem to genuinely enjoy working for the Walters family, so good vibes all around.

The time came for me to get a new HVAC system installed, so being a member of Costco I went online and set up an appointment. I received the call, got it scheduled, they showed up on time and was friendly. He was here 10 minutes, asked very few questions and said he would get me a quote next week. That was a week ago and still no quote. Luckily for me I contacted Home Depot that same day. Andy's State Wide showed up the very next day, the salesman was polite, super knowledgeable, and sat with me for an hour. He understood what I wanted and gave me a quote on the spot. Matter of fact they came the very next day and installed everything!! The techs were great, they did an amazing job. Not sure why I only got ten minutes of his time, and I'm not sure why I never received a quote. I assume they are not as big as Andy's Statewide, but just be honest, don't leave people hanging. Not impressed at all. Best of luck with your business, but you've got some things to work on and Costco needs to do a better job vetting their contractors.

They installed our furnace mid winter over a year ago and were great. John provided different options and clearly explained the differences and why some would be better suited to our home than others. We're about to purchase an air conditioner from them as well. I highly recommend them.

I've used Pat Walters and Sons for a number of different applications. They installed my furnace and have done periodic service as well. I had a potential flooding issue and called to have someone come out and evaluate it. The visit was immediate and informative and cordial. Highly recommend this company!

My AC died and through the entire process they were extremely informative, kind and patient. I had to ask them to come back to fix a minor issue (old parts that weren't part of their original work) and they were quick to schedule me and very timely and always professional. Pat Walters & Sons installed the Lennox heating system for our house on 5/17/2021. They did an excellent good job and very responsible on the floowe up works. I like their excellent work.

I'm a member of Costco's and called them in regards to replacing my furnace and air conditioner and receive the call from this company. The sales representative was friendly, professional and came to the house on time with a big smile and gave me one of the highest quotes I've ever received. It made me being a member of Costco waste of money if I had to went with this company I found someone with the same product for $1,700 cheaper.
I see by the review people rave over him and they have five stars reviews and I'm sure that they do very professional installed but I found them just to be too expensive with a quote. The company I chose has five star reviews and I have seen their work very professional quickly done.

Pat Walters & Sons helped me 4 times in the past 5 years, and, after dealing with other HVAC technicians, I would say their service quality is excellent, like good doctors who can diagnose and treat the patient accurately and quickly, and their price is really reasonable. Below is my most recent experience with Pat Walters.

I had a really bad experience of replacing my furnace draft inducer motor done by a different HVAC contractor last December (I contacted Pat Walters first, but they did not have this item in stock, and I needed the repair to be done in a rush to prevent burst pipes.). After this replacement, various issues happened, like short cycling, pressure switch was full of water, blowing cold air, and the furnace sounded really loud compared to it was before. Thus, I contacted Pat Walters for help. Their technician showed up on time, pointed out and fixed the issues. When I asked for the rough price for a new furnace, the technician told me that they had a sales department for the quotes so that the technicians can focus on repairing for the clients, not selling them new furnaces (to avoid a conflict of interest).

In a nut shell, their work is solid; price is reasonable. They handle things professionally and don't try to sell new furnaces to clients. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who need HVAC service.

I recently hired Pat Walters & Sons to install a new furnace and AC and I highly recommend them. They are a most professional company in every aspect. I had the pleasure of working with Barb who guided me through the entire process. The techs were respectful of COVID precautions and were also very responsive to my questions. This is truly a very high quality business.

Had a great service experience! 18yr old furnace was acting up. PW&S was able to send someone out the same day. Greg was very professional and extremely helpful! He explained each check that he was doing and was able to quickly fix the issue. He was very knowledgeable with our Lennox system and even gave helpful hints on how to optimize our system to perform at it's best. I highly recommend PW&S and will likely use them whenever I need to replace my unit in a few years!

We decided to go with Pat Walters and Sons for a new AC and furnace because they are the provider who is contracted with Costco. I have never had a bad experience with Costco, so I assumed they would be professional and do a good job. Brian who came out for the quote was very nice and knowledgeable. He answered our questions and gave us a quote. We booked an install day and everything was set. For starters they were 30 minutes late, but this is nothing. Only a little while after arriving, Ian told us that they had broken the pipe to our shower. He called someone else to bring parts and fix it, but that should never happen. You don't just break someone's pipes. Luckily we didn't have to shower for the eight hours they were here. Next, the two other workers with Ian, Corey and another man, left without saying anything and Ian had to finish up alone. During our consultation with Brian we had asked how much of a mess there would be. He said "you won't even know they were there." We expected our basement to be clean when they left... but no.... we went down and were horrified at the mess they left. Dirt everywhere, cracks in the floor, a ruined rug and broom. The basement floor will need a thorough cleaning and a new coat of paint. They said they would put drop cloths, but apparently not for the floor... just on the stairs and washer/dryer. There were screws and scraps of metal left around that could tear up a foot if stepped on. Then, on top of it all, the condensate pump didn't work at all. We ended up with a huge stream of water on the floor. Had to call the office to send Ian back to replace the brand new pump with another one. I would've expected them to test it, but there was no water in the tube so they never ran it at all after it was attached. I appreciate Ian coming back and taking the blame for the other two incompetent workers. I am very disappointed in Pat Walters and Sons overall. After all of this they said "give it a week and call us if you don't like anything." They said we might need a bigger furnace. Why would we want these same incompetent workers coming back to make another huge mess??? These are the same people who will have to come back if we have a problem. I will be following up with Costco about this. After spending 8 grand on a new system I thought they would at least be professional and clean up after themselves.

EDIT: while cleaning their atrocious mess, we found more damage that Pat Walters and Sons caused. In the process of fixing the shower piping that they broke they climbed onto my washing machine and dented the lid really badly. They put stuff on top of the dent to try to cover it up. They could have asked us for a chair or step stool to climb on. We had a step stool nearby in the basement. They also dented the top of the dryer above where the knobs are. This washer and dryer are less than two years old and is now damaged and has a hard time latching shut. Is it common or professional to have workers climb on appliances? They also scratched the front of washing machine and I noticed several scratches on my walls too. They obviously have no respect for people's property. Attached are pictures of some of the mess and the dangerous metal objects and screws left on the floor (some are not posting, I don't know why)

We needed a new furnace and air conditioner and I didn't know what company to go through. I was at Costco and noticed that they had a Lennox display and I was happy to see that because we are always pleased with anything to do with Costco. So after calling their number to set up a consultation, they scheduled Pat Walters and Sons to come out. We are so happy they chose Pat Walters! Our sales person was Michelle and she is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Moving forward to the date of the install: our crew arrived on time, they were professional and efficient. They had us up and running in less than 8 hours. They cleaned up everything, our system works perfectly, the house is cool! I can't say enough good things about the whole process. Thank you Pat Walters and crew! You guys rock!!

Our AC went down in the middle of the current heat wave. Although they are getting a high volume of calls they were able to get out same day and quickly bring our 19 year old unit back to life. The technician was professional and took the time to educate me on maintenance activities I should be performing regularly. The price of the service call was about half of what I was expecting. If I could give six stars I would...

I would definitely recommend Pat Walters & Sons. I called them at 8am because our 15 year old furnace wasn't working properly, and the tech arrived in just a few hours and within the stated appointment window. Lorne was very professional, knowledgeable, worked quickly, and patiently and honestly answered all my questions. He identified the problem(s) immediately, and we had heat again in no time. The price was very reasonable, and at no time was there any attempt to sell me on any unnecessary services, a new furnace, etc. I will definitely rely on Pat Walters & Sons for all my Heat/AC needs in the future.

Another great service, these guys show up when they say they will and fix your problem. If you need heating/cooling help, give them a call they will set you right.

They have a really hard time fixing their own install mistakes. Our new AC has a leak from the refrigerant and instead of fixing it they just recharged it because they didn't have enough time that day. They scheduled for the following week to have more time to track down the leak.

At the scheduled appointment time they didn't even bother to show up. Calling them they are blaming everyone but themselves and said they would be there tomorrow and he claimed it may not be a leak and maybe the installer which was them didn't charge the AC, either way not good.

Pat Walters & Sons is the area COSTCO preferred installer and they live up to that high standard. The service is personal and top notch. You will notice the family pride in their work. I highly recommend them if you ever needs heating/AC work.

I cannot say anything about their installations because I could not go past the sales guy, John Dennis. I was trying to get a replacement quote for AC and the furnace through Costco. Set up an appointment and John was late by 30 minutes. I called and left him a VM, then called the office, at which point of time they told me that my appointment was set for the next Monday. Fortunately John called me back and came in in another 20 minutes. I explained to him that I wanted higher efficiency HVAC units, preferably with features to reduce humidity without lowering the temperature too much.
I waited for the quote and nothing came. Called them 2 days after the appointment and he finally emailed me the quote that he apparently wrote the day before. The quote contained 2 low efficiency ACs and one high efficiency furnace. No explanations on how he arrived to quoting those units. The base prices were outrageous: you can order an online report for the comparative price for your zip code, so for the units that he quoted he wanted 53% more than the fair price. Even after all Costco incentives his price was still $3k more than the fir price (fair is 40% overhead on the cost of units+installation). His furnace quote alone was as much as the fair price for both the furnace and the AC. On my emailed request for clarification he has not responded at all. Not sure where he took the "salesperson 101", but he should have failed. I asked for the quotes from 3 additional local contractors and can only praise them for their professional conduct and immediate responses to questions.

Costco should really reconsider even listing them as their contractor until they can fix their sales force behavior. No matter how much cash back or gift cards Costco offers, this experience is not worth it.

Purchased a Lennox Elite A/C and Furnace unit through Costco. PW and Sons did a great, efficient job installing!

3 weeks after using the icomofort thermostat I realized the zoning was not using the programs I entered, and after reviewing the manual and online videos, I could not figure it out!

The next day they sent someone out who walked me through the process (and confirmed the manual didn't have this procedure noted).

I am so very pleased with their service (we live in Dexter, they are located in Ypsilanti). Also happy to have the rebates ! (DTE, costco cash and costco visa).

They installed our new AC system a couple of years back and did a great job. And when either the AC or the furnace has a problem or needs maintenance they are always right on time, make an accurate assessment of the problem and repair quickly.

Week of 90* heat is not the time you want your A/C to quit working but isn't that always when it happens? Called Brent at 8 am and got an appointment time between 1 and 5 same day. Tech (Greg) was at house by 1:05, had problem diagnosed and fixed by 1:30. Service was not only fast and friendly but very reasonably priced. Will continue to call on Pat Walters & Sons for all our HVAC needs.

Great experience with Pat Walters & Sons. Our furnace went out during the night and called and left message with the company in the early morning before they were open. They called back and had someone out within a couple of hours and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. I will call on these guys again in the event I need repair or a new system.

They installed a new Lennox Furnace and AC at our home last week. The installation was completed ahead of schedule and we love the product. Very professional service and knowledgeable install team.

I've used them for a few years to service my 1973 furnace and air conditioner. When the air conditioner finally gave out they gave me a great price on a new unit and as always great service.

The owners of my building spent a lot of money last year with Pat Walters & Sons having a new A/C unit installed at the building I rent from, and then again this year to have it relocated due to a spacing issue ... a lot of collective money. Now the A/C unit has gone down. Pat Walters and Sons said they could not get here for more than a week to look at it, with one reason being that they lost a lot of staff. I find it offensive that after making that big of an invest with them that they can't service an obviously still new system in any kind of reasonable time. And now to have staffing problems ... a BIG RED FLAG here ... you may want to take any future business elsewhere. Prompt service has never seemed to be their strength from all I have observed even during the installation ... seeming a strict 9 to 5 type of operation.

Our AC was leaking water and they came out on time and quickly repaired it. The service cost less than what I would of thought. They were professional, prompt, and they fixed our AC quickly. Highly recommend.

Installed a new Furnace, AC and humidifier. Great price and we reviewed 5 local bids. The salesman and the installation technicians were incredibly understandable with my little kids running around. Purchased through the Costco program. Had a little discrepancy with the scope of work, but they took care of all the issues prior to final inspections. Installers were great and the office worked with our schedules to get everything installed and squared away. Rebate processing was fast, and so far the Lennox unit has been great. I also really liked that they were the only bid who installed the neat low-profile exhaust outlet cover. Touches like that go a long way on our smaller ranch style home.

Their employees are kind, pleasant and helpful. The service is thorough and quick. Today's technician humored my 3 year old and let him "help" inspect the furnace. I love this family owned company!
