Paramount Kanga Roof

Kanga Paramount Roof replaced the near 30 yr old felt under my 4,000 sq ft tiled roof. I could not be more satisfied. Their crew of 10 experienced roofers were all on my roof at the same time, worked together seamlessly, and completed my job in 10 hrs. Roof replacement is a very dirty job and PK cleaned it all up when finished. The workers were thorough, attended to detail, did not take shortcuts. Communication with PK was excellent from inspection through job completion. PK did everything they promised. I cannot imagine that a better job could have been done - from start to finish.

Paramount Kanga did an outstanding job on a Duradek mat replacement on a deck above our family room, traveling twce the 3.5 hours to Pinetop to complete the job. Not only was a the workmanship excellent, but the job needed to be well coordianted for me to replace the subflooring to improve the slope for drainage in advance of the mat replacement. As late-fall/winter rain and snow storms were a threat, this required a lot of trust, though Jeff and crew showed up as scheduled and got the job done, and professionally! We had duradek installed on our walk-out deck and the end result is amazing. Kangaroof was wonderful and professional to work with. Highly recommend this for anyone with a deck in Arizona. Here are some photos of the process. Added new wood for the foundation and then the duradek material. We will not have to worry about water, cracks, or having furniture on the deck. Love that it is now a usable space.

We used Paramount Kanga Roof for our front deck. They installed Duradek on it and it looks beautiful. Everyone within the company was very nice to work with. The installation team was fast, efficient, and communicated very well. We will definitely use this company again.

Jay came out the next day after we called in to check our roof. We had a cement edging tile that had blown off during a storm. He checked our whole roof, found a few issues they are going to fix, and while up there replaced the one cement edging tile that had blown off (but was still intact).Jay very helpful, professional and explained everything to our satisfaction. We will use them again as our premier roofing contractors in AZ!

This company showed up on time to give a quote, was the lowest of 3 quotes. Did the rip off of the old shingles roof, laid new material and shingles 2 weeks later. They were done in one day, professional installation and left the area spotless.

We had Kanga come out and they ended up replacing our roof. The first time they came out they did not bring the right ladder and then forgot to call us back to schedule a new time. When they did come out the sent us a proposal and said they were going to manage having the water damage repaired through someone they are partnered with. They came out and worked on the roof and they left supplies all over my neighbors yard and they were resting in his driveway. My neighbor had to call in and complain. They also were blasting music at 7:30 in the morning when they showed up. They left the side gate open and let my dog out. I will give credit to one of the guys who went to help us look for him but my dog ended up on the freeway. We are lucky he is alive. They finished the job and left nails and debris all over our yard and my neighbors yard. We have kids so this was a risk to our children being outside. When they left I asked about the ceiling in our house being repaired since they said they were going to manage that. He sent me a phone number and said I could call and work that out. I wouldn't use this company again and I would not recommend them to others.

Huge disconnect between salesman, Eric Johnson, and the rest of the company. His words did not match the experience or the process, from scheduling to the actual work performed. Once the deposit was made, Eric disappeared…voice mailbox always full. Absolutely absurd experience with roofers literally drinking beer on the job and no one knowing who was in charge. I am baffled this company’s practices have not landed them in serious litigation.

Our company was looking for a friendly professional and responsive roofing company. We met with Josh Kiddy who gave us his very honest and professional opinion on our roof at our McClintock location. After the experience we had with Josh and the staff at Paramount for our first location, we decided to call Josh back out for our 2nd location for repairs. I can not say enough about Eric and how he took care of my roof. He was very professional and he explained about the trouble spot in the roof. Eric also said my roof and tiles were in great shape. I definately reccomned Eric at Paramount Kanga Roof.

What a great company to do business with! The day I called for an estimate I spoke with Rick. In speaking and asking a few questions, he was very informative and I could tell a fair person. I met with Eric who wrote up my estimate and has kept in contact making sure I was happy with the progress. The workers (Leo and son) did an absolutely wonderful job. Beautiful woodwork coupled with an extensive silicone flat roof application. I did have a couple of small concerns at the end of the job and Jeff made sure that within a couple of days that I was 100% happy. You really couldn't ask to do business with a better company in today's age. Great staff, quality and a very reasonable and competitive price.

Eric Johnson does a great job with communication, honest and hard working. Kangaroo Roof also has a ton of great programs that help save money. I would definitely refer them.

Eric was our roofing specialist and he took care of our roofing needs . He was prompt and professional and helped us put our mind at east. The staff was also very responsive and prompt with getting back to us.

It took this company 4 months to finish my roof. From July to October of 2020. They are extremely unprofessional and unresponsive.
To be clear, I did not hire Paramount, my HOA did. But they did work on my home, and it was terrible. Each day I would come home to a mess on my property.
My issue with Paramount started when they blocked my parking spot with a huge truck. I asked one the employees a couple times to move it so I could park. On the second time one of their employees swore at me.
From there the problems got worse. They killed plants and grass around my house. They left trash, both food and industrial: sharp pieces of metal, nails, and roofing material everywhere (to this day, still finding nails). I had to check the road and pick up nails constantly so I wouldn't get a flat tire. I am truly grateful I did not have kids or pets at the time because it was really dangerous material Paramount left lying around every day and night.
The thing to know about Paramount is they do not have their own crews. They hire subcontractors. Which, I guess, is standard practice in the construction industry, but the thing is they managed their subs so poorly.
I spoke to a project manager and yes he did apologize for the man's behaviour, but nothing changed. There was the addition of caution tape, but that ended up blowing around and making more trash! It seemed liked the project manager was never present to over see the job. Who knows if the roof was actually done well.
Regardless, It still took them 4 months to finish the roof of just over 1000sq ft. home.
Later I found out from another one of their subs that the man that swore at me had gone to jail. Who knows if thats true or the man just coming up with an excuse for why one roof took that long, but either way, I would look for another company. I did not feel safe in my home with Paramount crews around. And the disrespect to me and the property was ridiculous.

To be fair, they are still working in the area and got another set of hosues done in about 2 weeks. I think it truly depends on the subs they hire but that seems unreliable, and their is still trash and blocked parking. Go with a company that has more integrity and better customer service.

Needed 4 tiles replaced after monsoon damages. They did it cheap and it looks great now! Scheduling was a little on the slow side, but I don't deal with roofing things often enough to know if that's standard or abnormal for roofing issues.

UPDATE 2/18/2021: Rick, you very much know who I am, and therefore there is no need for a call from me. Your crew did my house in Carefree this past June/July with Joe and Jonathan serving as "leads" on the job. It is unnecessary to go into any details here for the readers, but you and I had TOO MANY discussions about the job and all of its ridiculous and exasperatingly incredible issues caused solely by your employees. I do not wish our experience on ANYONE and still heartily stand by my "BUYER BEWARE."

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! This company was referred to us by our Air conditioning guy. They seemed like a great company, at first, and the packet they give about what they will be doing is very through. However, THE SERVICE PROVIDED DOES NOT MATCH WHAT'S PROMISED IN THE PACKET. I've made a formal complaint to the BBB because of what they failed to do, and the BULLYING TACTICS USED to collect the final amount due.

We asked several times for an itemized cost list because they failed to do several things promised in their packet. Some of the more major issues was they did not do a magnetic sweep for nails, did not clear all the trash that they put in our front yard, did NOT PAINT the wood replaced, kept blowing fuses because the air compressor that they were using (they didn't tell us we'd have to pay for the electricity) drew too much power, blowing the fuse for the line they were drawing from. Also, when removing the old roof, a great deal of debris fell through our stove's vent tube, landing on the stove, counters, and kitchen floor. Also, the fan no longer works because of debris still in the tube.

We asked several times for an itemized invoice. We never got one. Then on 10/8, I got an email (Email are not considered a LEGAL MEANS of contacting anyone for payment due) stating that we had to pay by 10/8 (THAT VERY DAY) or they'd send the remaining amount to collections, which would increase the amount another 25%. We never got a call, mail or certified mail before that. I called them twice that morning demanding they call me back, they never did. My wife was concerned about a negative hit against our credit (which is in the HIGH 800's), so she paid it.

AGAIN, NEVER USE THEM! We were going to have them replace another roof on one of our other properties, but that will NEVER happen. So, between this report, them no longer having our business (we have SEVERAL HOMES), and a BBB report. I will have satisfaction one way or another!

Update: The BBB sent me an email, and Paramount Roofing did not respond or seem to care, just as I stated. They are going to give them additional time, but since Paramount Roofing never got back to ME, I know they won't bother to contact the BBB. Again, I highly recommend you find a company THAT KEEPS THEIR PROMISE of service. This company fell far short of that promise. I'm just glad I didn't let them work on any of my other homes. THEIR LOSS, MY GAIN!

I put in complaint to BBB, and the new manager said he's willing to fix things. He did get someone to clear the vent, but another mess was left that we had to clean up. I've tried to get a breakdown of cost for the parts of the job that wasn't done, but received pushback. Still waiting for an answer.

Everything took a long time except their cashing my checks: Roof inspection was thorough, review of quote with anecdotes of their exemplary service and company history was over an hour, time between deposit and start date was 6 weeks, time to completion was more than a week.
Process needs continual monitoring. When is start date? This date, no this date. Why didn’t workers show up today? It might rain. When will they be back? Tomorrow. No next day. Why is the brand new skylight covered in dirt? Installer made a mistake. When will that get done? Need to call and schedule. When will it get done? Oh tomorrow.
They got it done. It wasn’t easy.

This company is great they did our 1930’s home (original roof) with extra layers of shingles they did a great job and it looks beautiful!!!
There roofers where very kind and respectful as well.
Will recommend this company to other people!
