We cannot say enough positive things about Brad, Seth, Terris, Khyree and the team at Pace Design and Construction. They recently renovated our front porch and refreshed our front facade.

Pace is extremely communicative and their team are well-trained and seasoned professionals. Brad's team worked with us at every step to make sure we had the product we wanted in the end. They shared in our vision for the space, and clearly had durability over a lifetime in-mind when then did their work.

As the inspector finished this morning, I heard him say, "It looks like a cabinet maker did this work." I couldn't have agreed more.

Bottom line - You live in DC, you're proud of your space, and you've wanted someone that will take pride in their work and communicate honestly. This is that team.

TBH this is the only experience with a contractor in DC that I can honestly and enthusiastically recommend. The Pace team was direct, honest, helpful, and seriously capable. It's very hard to find a contractor for a project that isn't a whole-home renovation but is major enough to involve whole-room demolition, something most people can't manage on their own. But when I described my project (removing a gas fireplace, redoing the wall it was in, and redoing a bathroom), they very quickly recognized how they could help me and leapt to work. The best part of the experience was working with Terris, who is the man on the ground who was at my house at the start of work every day and in charge of the project. He's super down to earth and his standards are actually higher than mine so thanks Terris for loving my house better than I do. I also recommend their journeyman plumber, Khyree, who redid my bathroom and also fixed a leak in my wall that could have turned into a huge disaster. I wish I'd gotten his number to try to hire him away for independent jobs.

I couldn't be more thrilled with my new windows and remodeled bathroom! The Pace team did an outstanding job dealing with the all quirks and surprises of an old house. I appreciated that they communicated clearly and often throughout both projects so I knew exactly what was happening in my house and when, and that they took excellent care of my house while they were in it. Importantly, the estimate and timing of both my projects were very realistic. Everyone I've dealt with at Pace - Brad, Seth, Yuri, Terris, Ron and Khyree - has been unfailingly conscientious, professional and patient. I would highly recommend them for any and all home remodeling projects and look forward to working with them again.

Did a fantastic job adding a 2nd full bathroom to a classic 100-year-old rowhouse. Very easy to work with, flexible and communicated well with the inevitable unexpected findings. Finished in the time they said and very transparent about costs throughout. Have already recommended them to multiple friends!

We hired PACE for a 1st floor renovation after 10 years in this house. This is a full service firm that will take care of everything/anything related to your house repair/renovation.

The reason I highly recommend PACE is the level of trust I have that they will do the job right and be proud of their work. I felt that each person I worked with understood that this was not just "another project" but my home that I wanted to feel comfortable and safe to live in. Our house is a 1200 sq ft, 115 year old row home, so you can imagine the number of renovations and outdated building techniques that have occurred. Our kitchen floor and counters were leaning due to several rotted joists. Carpentry is their specialty so reframing some of the floor was the easy part. They addressed the dirt crawl space and strengthened some of the joists underneath the upstairs bathroom that had been drilled into over the years by electricians and plumbers doing poor work.

On top of the main structural repairs, PACE was able to completely renovate the first floor and upstairs bathroom, including new tile, flooring and fixtures. They also helped me with selecting all new appliances (washer, dryer, oven, water heater), new cabinets and counters. We removed our original radiators, have a new HVAC system. This was an 8 month project that finished on time and on budget, which is a rare thing in a time of constant "supply chain issues".

A big thank you to Khyree and Terris for being the guys on the ground for this project and answering all my questions, and also to Seth and Brad for the solutions to my bigger problems, bordering on philosophical. I've introduced the whole team to my family and we see each other around the neighborhood. It's reassuring to work with someone when you know them on a personal level. Another sign you found a good contractor is when your neighbors reach out to say that the workers have been clean and respectful during the renovation. We used PACE for a complete remodel of our 1954 Charles Goodman home in Hollin Hills, VA. Throughout the entire process they were honest, professional, responsive and clearly had our best interests at heart.

Over the course of about 4-5 months they demolished and installed new floors, moved an interior wall, demolished our kitchen, installed new electrical, recessed lights, and painted the whole house. We were also battling an odd smell (old smoker) and the appearance of some asbestos, which they tackled with gusto.

What else can I say? They did great work, were spot on the budget, and ended up finishing a couple of weeks ahead of schedule. When we do another project I would trust them do it in a second.

Everyone I dealt with at Pace, from the owner down to the guys doing the work, was very professional. Their communication was second to none. The design team was excellent and I couldn't be happier with the finished product.
