Great experience installing our solar panels with City Renewables. Rebecca was incredibly responsive during the decision phase and she gave us space to think things over but didn’t let us get off track. Would use them again

The team is super friendly and committed to solar. However, you still need to educate yourself before moving forward on every aspect of solar. You really need to commit to solar for environmental reasons over economic reason, regardless what any sales person will tell you. It took an entire year of having a solar system, seeing the entire process played out with Pepco, how the weather impacts productions, and selling SRECS. A lot of questions I had were answered in a way to close the deal in a manner that benefited Ben and the team more than anyone. In the end, I think City Renewables is the best option in DC for solar based on other companies that I had spoken with. Don't think they would have come close to the customer service Ben and his team provided.

In spring of 2022 I worked with Ben to install a solar system on our roof, and from start to finish it was an amazing experience. Ben will point out that installing solar in DC is not a one-day or one-week relationship between the customer and the installer, instead it is a few months from inception to operation. Purchasing solar was the best decision of 2021. Ben was fantastic to work with. Thanks to City Renewable and Ben, the installation and financing were quick and easy. The panels worked from day 1 and we have never had problems. Our bills went from $2000 /yr before install to $148 for the entity of 2022. And the SREC$$$ is real. Our monthly SREC payoff is paying off the loan.

City Renewables provided me utterly turnkey service in setting up my solar electric system in NW Washington, DC. They got the permits, arranged for the smart electic upgrades, installed the solar panels in a single day, got my solar credits, and followed up with me. If you have a roof and sun overhead, there is literally no excuse for failing to go solar. My electric bill is now negative or negligible and a receive periodic rebate payments. I elected to pay for the panels instead of financing them. My investment will turn positive in about two years. After that it's all gravy. Plus, I get to feel good.

Recommendation and Installation of Solar Panels.

I had wanted solar panels for many years but failed to investigate the process. Although Ben and I were both active in the Eckington Civic Association and I knew of his business, I never inquired to have the panels. It was not until someone mentioned it on Next Door that the process began. I made a comment and Ben responded to my comment. He offered to do a free assessment. Of course, I jumped on it. I wanted solar panels. And, having known Ben and his company for some time, I felt comfortable doing business with him.

Ben and City Renewables did not disappoint in the least bit. They were organized and very professional. All my numerous questions were answered with the actual installation monitored. I even got pictures. I felt special but I realize that is just the way they do business. After the installation, Ben and City Renewables continue to monitor and are available for all questions.
