We had a storm damage on our roof and these guys were recommended to us by one of our neighbors who used them few months earlier. We worked with Jay who was very professional and also friendly. He dealt with our insurance, their assessor directly so we really didn't have to do much. They scheduled the job and showed up and were done in one day. The crew was managed by another guy who seemed knowledgeable. We had a little snafu but they went back on the roof and corrected the issue no problem. They didn't rush us to get paid either, waiter until everything was settled with insurance. Would highly recommend for ease of dealing with and professional treatment.

Avoid Omari Construction – Broken Promises, Poor Work, Zero Accountability

If you’re considering Omari Construction for your roofing needs — think twice. What began as a professional interaction quickly turned into one of the worst contractor experiences I’ve ever had.

The only professional person I dealt with was Ajit (sales rep), who tried to honor commitments. But once the contract was signed, the entire company — especially their Sales Head, Mohamad — showed their true colors: unprofessional, dismissive, and unreliable.

Here’s everything that went wrong:

1. Terrible Roofing Workmanship
• The crew that installed the roof lacked basic skill and attention to detail.
• Shingles were misaligned, flashing was improperly installed, and ridge venting was incomplete or skipped altogether.
• Starter shingles were placed incorrectly, compromising the roof’s long-term integrity.
• There was no final walkthrough, no quality check, and clearly no supervision.

2. Awning Disaster – False Promises and Property Damage
• Per the contract, they agreed to detach the old awning and install a new one after the roof was completed.
• The person who came to detach the awning clearly didn’t know what they were doing — they broke the clamps, cut into the old awning, and completely destroyed it. It’s now unusable.
• To make matters worse, they now refuse to install the new awning unless I assemble it myself, which was never part of the deal.
• The team is saying they “don’t know how” to install it — which is absurd coming from a contractor who agreed to do it as part of the job.

3. Zero Accountability and Communication
• Mohamad, the Sales Head, has been the most unprofessional point of contact I’ve dealt with.
He ignores emails, avoids calls, and shows no responsibility for the damage caused or commitments made.
• Instead of owning up to the mistakes or offering any solutions, they’ve gone silent and left me with a damaged awning and unfinished work.

4. They Just Don’t Care
• Once payment was collected, the company disappeared.
• No after-sales support, no project closure communication, no apology, no resolution.

They make false promises, use incompetent workers, damage your property, and then refuse to fix anything.
They expect the customer to do their job — literally.

I definitely have to spread the word about how awesome Omari Construction is. I am in NJ and was getting my roof replaced. Met Dominick who was the project manager on a job in my neighborhood. He came right over to me. He was so informative, professional and VERY NICE. He gave me the number of the regional manager, Ajit, who I called and he set up an appointment immediately. When he came, he could not have been NICER, he was GREAT. Explained everything that would be done and he and Dominick kept in constant contact with me. The job went so smoothly. My new roof looks awesome. I have Omari to thank. They came when they said they would, no run around and the crew did a great job and cleaned up like nothing had gone on. I can’t stress how pleased I was with Omari. Do yourself a favor and get in touch with them. You will not regret it. Thank you Dominick, Ajit and the hard workers that did the job in 1 day. Omari did a FABULOUS job with our roof. They were in and out in one day with the construction and the finished product looks great. Their representative Gabe guided us through the process and was especially helpful with insurance. We recommend Omari without any reservation whatsoever.

Omari Consturction replaced our roof after hail damage. We are very satisfied with the work and customer service experience. Ajit , our insurance restoration specialist, was excellent. He explained the insurance claim process and pricing in detail and answered all our questions before scheduling the job. He also provided contacts of other worksites and customers nearby we could reach out to, who all gave very positive recommendations. The work was completed promptly and there were no surprises. They handled the communication and negotiations with the insurance.

They replaced my roof back in the summer of 2024, but never returned my calls for inspecting it for damage after. After some rainfall, we found water leaking through our roof and into our ceiling, causing significant damage to our house. We tried to contact them multiple times, but they always ignored us. I even got a hold of one of the workers on the phone, who told me he would return my call later, but never did.

We need answers as to whether there is actually a crack and a water leak through the roof causing this. This was their work, and I simply can't bear the damages that will happen after they did my replacement. What type of business completely ignores their customer?

This company is sending rude workers to my house in Pennsylvania on a Sunday 3 days before Christmas claiming we need a roof when we clearly don't. Guy was super rude and arrogant. I saw his work truck with license plate and he is not even from PA. Looks like some type of possible interstate scam. Clearly not licensed in this state. Show some integrity and professionalism and you won't need to go door to door. Trying advertising or being nice!

UPDATE: I'm now being threatened in the replies by legal action without even an apology. Wow what an arrogant company that came to my house. So are you saying you were not at my house in PA? I guess I need to report it to my state representatives office then. Seems like you might want to check out which employee was at my house and was harassing us first. I don't take any threats or harassment lightly. Are you licensed in Pa? Why were you knocking on my door with an attitude, lying about our roof and driving around my neighborhood. Care to elaborate?

I don't know about their contracting services, but one of their workers is an incredibly dangerous driver, who honked at people waiting at a red light during heavy traffic then swerved in and out of cars erratically studying heavy rain. Might want to look into drug testing for your employees. Would never trust with my home.

Really pleased and thrilled with the services l received from Omari Construction. Waheed was a delight to work with. He was very instrumental in getting this retired/widower a new roof. Would not have gotten one without him. Roof installation only took one day. They did an excellent job and fully cleaned up afterwards.

Waheed of Omari Construction approached me after noticing damage on my roof from recent storms and offered to conduct free inspection to see if the roof could be replaced as little to no cost to me and covered by my home insurance. He and his team worked diligently to have my claim approved and my insurance company covered most of the cost to replace my roof. On the day the work was done, the team showed up early, worked throughout the day and finished clean up before the sunset. I was particularly concerned about the clean up as there were any nails on the ground and I have young children who like to run in the yard without shoes. The team left no trace of having been there! We have been planning to do the roof replacement for quite some time. None of the companies fit our bill except Omari Constructions. We are in Bridgewater, NJ. Ajit Bahra worked with us all thru' the way. If not for Ajit, we would not have got into this. He explained clearly how Omari Constructions will be working with insurance company to get the payments. The fact that you have to pay only the deductible is a deal breaker.

On the technical side, Ajit is well versed with all the knowledge required to keep you informed of the inner details of roof replacement. He promptly brought all the samples and provided images of various types of roof shingles and supporting accessories. He is also in touch with you months after the roof replacement. He made sure there is no impact to the house either before or after the roof replacement.

The workmanship is extraordinary. The roof replacement team comes on the specified day, does all the required work on the same day, completely cleans up anything left out on your yard after the work is done.

We were quite impressed with Omari Construction's workmanship.
