It’s the little things that shined.
Had cabinets hung, and tile installed, in my laundry room.
Also ‘Shiplap’ style trim on one wall of our master bathroom.
Neither job was “major”, but they involved plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Everything they did was first-class.
Steve and all the guys worked around our work-from-home schedule, and our new puppy. Communication was excellent.
Results were fantastic.

One week we picked out granite . The next week you installed in two days. Very good job and fast.

A 5/5 review doesn't do Steve, Bryce, and the ODI guys justice. We had a hard time finding contractors interested in doing a partially done attic refinishing on our budget, but ODI worked with us on every step and made it happen. We never would have had it done by anyone else. We can't recommend them enough and hope to work with them in the future!

We wanted a 2-story garage/master suite addition put on our home. ODI did a fantastic job making the addition look like it has been there since the home was built 25 years ago. Steve is great at customer service and will do most anything within his power to make you happy! Five stars every day!!!

After conducting a preliminary visit for a renovation of a small bathroom and a mud room, it took weeks, several emails and a phone call to receive our estimate. The estimate we received was only for the bathroom. This bathroom is under 100 square feet and the price was $45,000 dollars. I had a complete floor to ceiling kitchen renovation done several years ago for less than this and the kitchen is at least 4x the size. This is a sham. There is no justification for replacing a vanity, tile, and fixtures to cost anywhere near this amount. Several friends and coworkers have had larger bathrooms completely renovated for between $8,000-12,000. Steve Fitchett priced out the materials at approximately 4,000 which means for 100 square feet of work, he wanted to charge 40,000 in labor costs.

I would add, take a look at some of the reviews below. apparently my small bathroom should cost as much as an 12x12 sun room. does that make any sense to anyone?

this whole operation is scam on pricing

I just received a phone call after leaving a message last week with the receptionist for a consultation and estimate from one of their builders. I told him, I was interested in a four-season sunroom and he asked about the size of my deck (12x12). He stated “you’re looking at about 50k”. I replied “that’s interesting, I’ve heard such a wide range between 25k - 50k, are you able to come by and look at the area for a more accurate estimate?” He begins to go into how another customer thought it was going to be 10k and he does not want to waste anybody time if they cannot afford the budget. I reiterated that I did not have a set budget at the moment and will continue to look around for estimates. He stated “So what you are saying is, you don’t have 50k.” At this point I was agitated and stated, “No, what I am telling you is, I am having a hard time accepting a 50k quote when you have not seen my house, you have a good day.” Very unprofessional.

We compared offers from several companies who build sunrooms, screened porches, and variations in between. We selected ODI to build an 11x15 sunroom with a small deck for five reasons: 1) locally owned and operated 2) long track record of building quality sunrooms 3) good value 4) no pressure sales tactics, and 5) they also do bathrooms, kitchens, and remodeling for accessibility. Now that we've worked with them, I'd add 6) professionalism and 7) responsiveness. We are very pleased with our Better Living Sunroom. It's single-pane glass so it still feels outdoorsy, but without mosquitoes or pollen. The windows and door slide easily and the frames are sturdy. The roof tie-in was not an easy one and it blends right in. Steve is responsive, patient, and easy to work with, and the entire crew is professional, friendly, and highly skilled. And best of all, chances are when we're ready to remodel something in this old house, that work will be in ODI's wheelhouse too.

I recently had Old Dominion demolish a old porch screen room and 14x20 deck to build a large sunroom with deck attached!
The work that Steve Fitchell’s crews did was absolutely impeccable quality! The personnel were all extremely skilled and very professional to work with while on our job.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent contractor and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them for future work!

Old Dominion Innovations did a wonderful job installing a residential solar for electricity awning array at my house back in 2011. They were able to install brackets successfully to mount the solar panels and micro-inverters, so that I could nearly double solar electric production since my rooftop solar array was installed a couple years earlier. They also set up a solar electricity production software, so that I can view production from this awning array online. ODI offers a high level of customer service, and I highly recommend this company!

Called them about a well-line replacement project. Sales guy was honest about what they could handle, and what we'd be better off handling directly. The time from my first call to finished project was a matter of days, and they worked like crazy to finish in time for us to bring home a newborn. Honest help. Would definitely call again.
