Mike and Jason are very knowledgeable technicians were able to troubleshoot the foul odor coming from the chimney and remove the dead bird and excess dirt accumulation. Also, identified additional corrective chimney issues. They were respectful of my home in cleaning up areas from where work that was done. Would recommend for future chimney services.

I hadn't had my AC serviced in 6 years, as a brand new construction. I had no issues during the whole time frame, until I did. When I searched for AC services, OHA HVAC is the company that appeared, and had 24 hours available services, and that was important in my decision to use them.
The Service Desk Intake representative was very professional and helpful in identifying what I needed.
The HVAC Specialist who arrived at my home to service my AC was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and sociable. Mr. Williams explained what he was going to, and why the things he did was going to improve the AC system. Observing him working and asking questions, also allowed me an opportunity to learn what I didn't know before, and to be more informed that I was before.

We just bought a house and needed our AC system looked at. Godfred Wiafe came out and took really good care of us. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I would absolutely use this company again and would be happy and considered lucky is Godfred is able to come out again.

I appreciated having Godfred come out today. I did not give him a 5 star review because I felt like I had to ask more questions based on the limited information that he gave me upfront. As a customer who knows nothing about air conditioning and how it functions it would’ve been helpful if he took the time at the beginning to truly explain for me the details of the work that was involved. In addition, it did not seem that he was very clear on the difference between the gold and platinum offerings, and it wasn’t until I asked him to speak to a supervisor that the supervisor was able to offer a better deal for me. At the end of the day, the number of pictures that he took to show the difference between what it looked like at the beginning and the end really helped to see the work that was involved. I was the last customer of the day so that could’ve made a difference in how he felt from the beginning of the day to the end. I am sure that he was very tired, but When you are spending a lot of money, it is important to feel that someone is investing a lot of time to explain the intricacies of the job upfront.

Showed up on time. Was able to work around our pets. Even during a very hot day they got the job done on time. We’re very nice and cleaned up any mess.

I would like to thank Bernie Miller for his service he performed on my HVAC Unit this past Wednesday. He was able to target the issues and quickly fixed it. Now my home is cool as a cucumber.

Martin Steele was our tech who came out to assess a broken outdoor hose Bibb. Martin was punctual, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We couldn’t be more satisfied and will continue to use OHA Home Service.

I was very fortunate to have Brice from OHA facilitate the diagnosis and replacement of a malfunctioning compressor during this heat wave. He is clearly an expert in what he does and is an excellent representative for his company through his work he and the information and recommendations he provides. He did more than perform an AC repair. He explained what I can do to get the best result from my system given the challenges we have with the single AC unit houses in our development. I look forward to utilizing his suggestions once my house is cool again and keeping my HVAC system in good health with Brice and OHA.

Heat wave 06/25 arrive home after work to find a 85degree house with no A/C I called several HVAC companies no one could help due to the work load from the extreme heat. I called OHA Services and spoke with Kat and she was able to reach out to her Master Technician Brian that was headed home after working in this heat all day and Brian turned around and was at my house in about a hour. Brian had the system back up and running in less than 30min. That’s more than 5 Star service in my book because they care about there customers! Thank You.

Mr. Wiafe went out of his way to make sure everything was running smoothly! He explained everything in detail and helped us get our A/C working!! It was the hottest day of the year and he was dripping sweat and still so patient!

Thank you to Angel who came out to service my garbage disposal and toilet. He was extremely knowledgable and helped fixed my issues quickly. I have also used OHA for replacing my entire HVAC system so I knew they would continue to have great customer service and the right expertise. Blaine came today in pouring rain. He out did himself being courteous and professional. Took extra time to not only answer questions I had but showed me areas of unit related to my questions. Fine and knowledgeable young man.

This is a copy of the letter I sent to both the tech and to the company, explaining my experience with OHA, trying to get a replacement propane log set of 19FEB2025.

I called your company about a propane log set replacement. A few days later, a rep came out to the house to see what we needed. He described a unit that had had very little to no trouble after install. He described to me that these units didn’t “sit on the shelf” somewhere, that they were built on demand when the orders were received.
He finally did some calculations and came up with a bottom line for the material and labor. Our situation calls for a straight remove and replace of a unit that is 25 years old and sits in a fireplace that can accommodate a wood burner or a gas log set. I got a stout price and wavered a little. I hadn’t done very much due diligence, I had looked at reviews of the OHV company and they were overly favorable.
I signed the estimate/contract and went on about my day.
A few hours later, something was bugging me. I had a hardcopy of the estimate and the manufacturer and full description of the new unit was there in black and white.
Armed with that information, I went looking for a price comparison. The closest I could get was $2500.00 lower that the OHA estimate/contract. I x called the estimator/salesman and asked them if I was missing something that might get us closer to the estimate. Something to the effect of “it s what it is,” was the result of my query.
I cancelled the contract, a few hours after agreeing, and went looking for alternatives.

Long story, short, I found an online unit from the same manufacturer with the intermittent pilot feature at a price delivered and including tax of $1866.97. I called a local, licensed installer, who quote me $150.00 as a starting point for the work I described.

I am waiting for his arrival and will finalize this message when all the blanks have been filled in.

All is good and working. That leaves me with questions about the two sets of numbers.

Online purchase of base burner VFSE24-2 (Empire) and Super Sassafras White Mountain Log Collection log set LS24RS. $1773.00 delivered.

The installation by a professional contractor was $150.00

That made my total outlay $2016.97 incl. VA sales tax

Subtracting that figure from your order leaves a difference of $2457.96, not an unsubstantial amount.

Am I missing something here? This can only be a mistake or an intentional charge, I checked back with your sales rep and he couldn’t explain the discrepancy. I sent a note through your website, but I know those sometimes don’t get found in a timely manner.

A prompt reply will be appreciated.

Today is 13MAR2025 and there has been no word, whatsoever. I have the receipts.

Replaced my aged a/c units and furnace. Great service and friendly. I was comfortable with the quoted price, the installed system, and the all around value The team was very professional and friendly.

OHA and Bernie were truly phenomenal. From the very beginning when I selected the wrong date by mistake online for my appointment, the staff have been nothing short of exceptionally patient and professional. They were able to change my service date at the last minute and were very accommodating. Bernie was our technician and he was kind, very professional, and took his time to ensure the root of the problem was found and addressed. The cost came in right around where I estimated and there was never any pressure to add on services I wasn’t interested in. I will absolutely be using OHA exclusively moving forward for all of my HVAC needs.

Update: on 4/16, Ashton and Scott arrived promptly at the scheduled time and were very professional, polite, and transparent about the process of removal of the old HVAC system and installation of the new system. They were respectful of the property and finished exactly when they said they would. If you get either of these gentlemen to work on your systems, you spoiled be worry-free!

Bernie performed a maintenance on 4 HVAC systems for my house and did an excellent job. He let me watch his work and explained everything he was doing. He made recommendations as to what could be done to make the systems last longer with some filter tips to make changing filters easier to do for my situation. The AC is working perfectly now and the house temperature is great.

Brian was exceptional. Another great experience with OHA. From the phone call and scheduling to the technicians. Everything is fantastic and smoothly run. They do a great job know what they’re doing our prompt at our very friendly. Highly recommended.

Christopher D came to do a contract maintenance service on my HVAC and was very thorough. He took his time to check the system out and then spent some time explaining what he had done and showing me relevant photographs he taken. He was very respectful and responsive and was happy to answer my questions.

Joshua came to our house today to service our condensing unit that was low on coolant. He was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Thank you Joshua and OHA as always.

It is very hard these days to find true professionals who know how to repair and install sophisticated AC systems. Roger and Wesley are the guys for the job and OHA should be proud to have such qualified professionals within their ranks.

They’ve maintained our system for years and just did a replacement of our upstairs system. We were given multiple options and the service was excellent.

We were due for another dryer vent clean-out so it was an easy call to OHA since they took care of us so well two years ago. Called on Monday morning and had their technician, Jason out to our house on Tuesday Afternoon. Within an hour, he had our vent system completely cleaned out and everything back up and running. Great Service, fast, and prompt. This is the way all companies should be focused on customer support.

Excellent support by Joshua! He was very helpful and informative, in addition to going out of his way to seek additional information for us. We’re OHA customers to the end.

So my AC decided to quit on me, and its 90 plus degrees outside. I called the company that installed my AC four years ago, (HOA), and they sent someone out in less than 30 minutes. The repairman just happened to be one of the co-owners, Brendan Kelly. Anyway, Brendan went into the crawlspace and checked the heat pump. In about 30 minutes he figured out my electronic ac thermostat was blown. He replaced the thermostat and got the ac up and running in no time. Great service and extremely professional customer service. I would highly recommend this company, (HOA), if you have any issues with your HVAC. Extremely good company, veteran owned, and excellent service.

Carlos and Chris quickly diagnosed the problem (condenser) and also pointed out that the decorative covers around our units restrict air flow and make the fans work too hard, so we are redeploying them.

The most difficult part of the review process with such a reputable business is finding where to start!

From the beginning OHA proved beyond a shadow of a doubt why they deserve such high ratings.

Once i scheduled the consultation, OHA sent me a text message (very convenient) confirming the details of my appointment AS WELL AS sent a full bio of the of the service professional dispatched to my property. It was very refreshing, not to mention reassuring, that OHA is so open and forthcoming about who will be entering your home.

Brian showed up on time, PPE at the ready, and diagnosed my failing system in layman's terms. No overly complex jargon, no trade secrets. Just straight up, honest conversation between a professional and home owner.

He gave me a more than fair price analysis of both a repair estimate as well as full replacement. With the prices being so reasonable and the flexible payment options, i opted for the full system replacement.

2 weeks later, the install day had arrived. I was given a 4 hour window between 8AM and Noon for their arrival and lo and behold Jacob and Dale arrived at 8:45AM ready to work. The system was set up without delay and my house has already dropped from 87 degrees to 79 in just 30 minutes. Needless to say, the system works! They were also mindful of my new carpeting and wore protection as well as laid down runners to prevent tracking.

Brian, Jacob and Dale are top notch, world class technicians and i would highly recommend OHA for any of your heating and cooling needs. Looking forward to my yearly service call!

--5 Year Update--

Turns out they've been scamming me on labor for years. the 3 ton unit they installed has been deemed underpowered for my 3500sqft home. I have had multiple parts failures which were covered under warranty, but ever business and expert I've talked to (30+) has reeled at the 4 figure labor charges OHA has deemed necessary. From a capacitor replacement costing $600 (and that was the cheapest option, they call it their "bronze"), to the most expensive repair of which was a fan motherboard replacement to the tune of $1200 (also their bronze). Apparently the capacitors are a cheap part and an hour or two of labor and should have in no way cost 600, and the same was said of the motherboard replacement.

OHA has made me a laughing stock in the community, all because I lack the acumen to service my own HVAC unit.

Now my compressor has "gone bad" and I have no AC on the hottest week of the year. The compressor is under warranty, and they quoted me $3000 in labor.

Please learn from my mistakes and book elsewhere.
