One time, Jermel climbed my neighbor’s tree to rescue my cat. He said no need to thank him, it’s all in a days work. Jk. But he did go above and beyond for us when it came to replacing our roof and siding. A previous contractor left us worse off than we were, but Jermel came in and had everything fixed up by his team. We are very happy with the end result and can’t thank him enough. He is professional and detail-oriented. Highly recommend.

I got referred to Jermel on Reddit looking for a solution to a small leak. To make a long story short, I had gotten a consult for drip edge, and wanted a second opinion, at which I was referred to Jermel. He answered my call and came out within a day. He got up on my roof and diagnosed the issue, which turned out to be a completely different solution than the drip edge. He showed proof of and fixed it on the spot. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will recommend to anyone for roofing projects in the future.

Let me start by saying Grade A service. Shawn (foreman) was absolutely professional and friendly. He promised he could get my roof done despite failed attempts from other companies. He kept a constant line of communication open and was friendly every step of the way. He met my adjuster and took care of coordinating my entire replacement. He even gave great advice on upgrades we were doing to match the roof. When I say CHOOSE OAK CITY!!! … You will be pleased. The team was fast friendly and professional. They went over the yard multiple times to ensure the nails were removed. It did rain while they were in the process of working and they did not quit! I was having a hard time finding someone to take a look at a leaking upstairs window. The first handyman I tried didn't fix the problem and none of the more professional places I tried wanted to take such a small job.

But, Jermel was mentioned by name from one of the places I called. He showed up the next day to take a look. Was very prompt, good about answering all my questions, and they got it done much sooner than I expected. I've no complaints. Would definitely recommend Oak City Contracting.

When the storm Ian hit back in October 2022, I had a roof leak appear in my kitchen. Got in touch with Jermel first thing that Monday, and thankfully he was able to meet me later that afternoon. He provided an incredibly detailed inspection, walking me through the entire process. Fast forward to January 2023, I am only JUST now getting my new roof. Why??? Why did I have to wait almost 3 months?? A nasty Farm Bureau adjuster who fought back on every step, had the worst attitude, and refused my right on a 2nd opinion of Farm Bureaus' roof inspection. Stating I had minimal damage on one side, whereas Jermel showed multiple times significant damage on all sides of my roof. Throughout this entire headache, this rollercoaster, Jermel stayed on top of the adjuster and fought my case. Making multiple trips around an hour one-way, to provide extra (unnecessary) photos to the adjusters request. After jumping through my own hoops and finally being permitted a second inspection, Jermel met the new adjuster at mine - to which I was relieved to hear my entire roof would be replaced at Farm Bureaus' cost. His roof crew were here at 6:50 am, on the dot, already ripping off shingles by 7 am. By the time I was home, it was completely replaces, no trash or debris in my yard. This isn't a big habit of mine, but Jermel was awesome and people should know. It's hard to find honest, genuine people who take pride in their work.

It’s was like perfect timing when Jermel came to my house because I had just spoke with my insurance two days prior . He got on my roof and checked it out himself , came back and met with my insurance agent , and had my roof done about a week later if that .

My roof is beautiful and I get compliments on it neighbors , and I also referred one of my neighbors and they got theirs done and it’s very nice as well .

Jermel and his crew showed up A few minutes early...Amazing! They worked carefully and in good time and the job was finished at the estimated time. All were courteous and cleaned up so well it looked better than when they started. Used shingles that match current ones (identical). Highly recommend for excellent and professional work. My experience in working with Oak City Contracting can be summed up in two words, "very professional". Replacing my damaged roof went smooth end-to-end. Their use of a public claims adjuster to facilitate resolution of the insurance claim made inspection scheduling and follow-up easy. They sweat all the details, keeping me informed the whole time. The crew performing the roofing work was top notch, finishing a large, very steep roof in less than 2 days, despite being roped-up the entire time. Watching them work was impressive. Oak City will be my first call if I need to engage a contractor in the future as it's always a pleasure to work with professionals.

Oak City Contracting was very professional and explained all my options. Jermel brought samples of the roofing material which made selecting the right color simple. The demo and installation was accomplished in just 1 day! After his crew finished, he personally inspected the work. So grateful for the quality workmanship and customer service.

Jermel and his crew are outstanding. Started with a free inspection to confirm sufficient hail damage for insurance coverage. Performed all the communication with the insurance company and made sure the full replacement amount was obtained. Transparent and responsive. Premium materials and high-quality work. Replaced shingles on the first day and replaced the front porch metal roof on the second day. Jermel came by multiple times on both days to check on the work. I did not have to lift a finger from start to finish. A perfect experience.

Mr. Lewis and associates were able to take pictures of my damage, use the correct verbiage to accurately describe the damage to my insurance agency, and deliver a quote all in the same day. Once the work was scheduled, they brought everything they needed, tore down the old and installed the new. Mr. Lewis ensured everything was neat and orderly and took my feedback to ensure I was satisfied with the job. I waited a year and a couple of wind storms before posting this. The job looks exactly the way it did on day of completion. The materials used were quality and are doing excellent.
