Had my roof and siding replaced by Nuvohaus did a great job on it. Steve was really easy to work with on the project.

Steve Chang, this person really went too smoothly without any distractions. The claims and proceedings to the insurance company were all given what they claimed and all the damage was covered by insurance in my house. Also, samples were provided for the material selection and the construction was done with exactly the same quality products. Also, all the invisible pre-work went well in principle. As an architect, I am well aware of these pre-work. My thanks go to Steve Chang for making this work from start to finish.

With being wary of scams and past experiences with contractors whose work wasn't up to code, we are thrilled with our experience with Nuvohaus Home Improvement for our new roof, gutters, and downspouts! They did all the work with our insurance and met with the appraiser at our home and got the permits! We are thankful that our insurance paid for the new roof and we only paid our deductible! Can't get a better deal than that! Once approved, the new roof was done in a day and they came back to finish the gutter etc.. the next work day. I definitely recommend them and be sure to ask for James Yi.

Paul from Nuvohaus, also doing business under Thorpe Adjusters Corp., came out with the sales pitch that they work with your insurance company to get you a new roof at no cost to the homeowner.

Pros: Paul was able to get a new roof approved through State Farm Insurance after other companies could not. The process took several months. The sub-contracted company they use did a good job with the tear off and new roof installation. Nothing bad to say about them. Used IKO Dynasty and it is a good shingle. Again, the job is sub-contracted. So you don't know who will be coming to complete the job. Paul is just a salesman.
I feel like we got lucky with the sub-contracted company.

Cons: This is a storm chaser company. They frequent neighborhoods that have been affected by storms. I find them to be very expensive to re-do a roof. Our roof took just a day to tear off and install new IKO Dynasty shingles. Cost was over 14,000. YIKES!! I thought that was very expensive. Simple up and over roof. No valleys, no peaks. While insurance did pay for the roof, and we did not have to pay the deductible (4900) they avoid replacing the gutters, downspouts, and copper canopy over our entry. So they sell the job, and just do the minimum roof replacement. (State Farm Insurance DID pay for those items to be replaced.) A win-win for them. Most people don't want to pay their deductible, so Nuvohaus can take advantage of the insurance settlement payment. Bit of a scam IMO.

I had a couple of salespeople go to my house to try to sell me a new roof. The first guy walked up to my front door and saw my no soliciting sign but instead of leaving he staked out my property till I came home 30 minutes later and kept harassing me to get a new roof. The 2nd person was a female who said my insurance company will pay for the new roof and pretty much falsifying an insurance claim and again kept harassing me to get a new roof. in order for a insurance company to pay for a roof it has to be by a natural disaster such as hail and does not cover for basic wear and tear.

Paul from Nuvohaus, also doing business under Thorpe Adjusters Corp., came out with the sales pitch that they work with your insurance company and pricing to get you a new roof with minimal or no cost to the home owner. I agreed to have them inspect the roof, and before informing me of the estimate or the damage they found, they went ahead and placed a claim against my insurance company. I immediately put the claim on hold and confronted Paul. He again reiterated that he is working in "my best interests" to get me a free or minimal cost roof. I then had another contractor in the area stop by and inspect the roof. They confirmed hail damage, but also vandalism, meaning damage was caused to my house that resembles hail damage, but was caused by a person. I had a 3rd adjuster come out and he confirmed the same. Hail damage but also damage caused by methods not associated with hail. The only company that has been on my roof has been Thorpe Adjusters or Nuvohaus. I did not video the inspection, and did not watch each person as they were inspecting my house, but it is clear to me that they actually added additional damage to my house to increase the claim to the insurance company. Do not allow them near your home!! They are not professional and very sketchy. I explained this situation with Paul at Nuvohaus after the 3rd inspection and made the claim that Nuvohaus caused additional damage to my home, and he did not even reply. If they didn't cause the damage, they would have denied it. They did not even try to defend themselves. STAY AWAY!!

This company was hired to replace the roof of my house in Chicago in Oct 2022. I am trying to get homeowner’s policy from another carrier that is requesting pictures of the room that was replaced. My sister reached out to Lisa for pictures of the roof and Lisa said she would check once she got to the office. That was 5/31/2023. I called her a few times 6/1/2023 asking for the pictures. She said “THEY” were looking for them and they could not find them. But also promised she would send them today. Now she is not answering her phone. I texted her and still no answer.

Unacceptable. I would think twice to use a company that is so disorganized its employees can’t find pictures of the roof they replaced.

Never again.

This is not a reputable company.

For three years I have been trying to have them send someone out to fix the shoddy work that they have done.

They will send someone out to take a look, they agree that that the workmanship is not good and tell me that they will be out within a couple of weeks to fix it.
After four times, nothing has still been done.

If you plan on using this company, plan on holding back the last payment until you are 100% satisfied or you will probably never see them again.

Nuvohaus did a excellent job installing a brand new roof on my house! I give them 5 stars! Paul Chung the Sales Manager did a excellent job and made it extremely easy and effortless for me from the begining to the end of the of the entire roof installation! I highly recommend Nuvohaus!

Back to 2013, we had the roof replacement for our house.  After that work, our skylight began to get cloudy and the moisture got in to damage the four drywalls around our skylight. This week, we had the new roof replacement, and the roof team helped us to fix the skylight issue. Steven Kim of Nuvohaus Home Improvement Inc. helped us to start on the process for our new roof and gutter system's replacement. He is very knowledgeable in the process with our homeowner insurance, and the materials for the roof and gutter system's replacement. His roof team and gutter team are very professional in the their services. Thanks to Steven and his teams on their dedicated works.

This is actually my 2nd time dealing with a damaged roof, siding and gutters with Nuvohaus Home Improvement. I had my roof on my house replaced several years ago and recently had my parents house roof, siding and gutters replaced. Steven Kim is excellent at handling all aspects of the Insurance claim process. He really goes out of his way to make sure the clients are happy and provides excellent customer service. He even brought a nice thank you gift a few days after the work was done which was really above and beyond! I am also very pleased with the work that was done on the house and all that Steven Kim did and would recommend them to anybody looking to have work done.

Nuvohaus was expedient and worry free. Steven worked with the insurance company and made sure the entire roof replacement was covered. The workers were courteous and organized. Steven was a great asset in making this a smooth operation.

There was damage done to my roof due to the last storm, so I was worried that it would take quite a long time to fix the roof.
However, Steven quickly contacted the insurance company to fix our roof as soon as possible.

Storms had damaged our roof on several occasions and there were many roofing companies that tried to get our insurance company to approve the repairs. Only Nuvohaus was able to get that done by working hard with adjusters. They were our advocates throughout the whole process. Jenny was easy to work with and the entire crew was professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend them!

The sales representative/manager was extremely nice and easy to talk to! She stayed in contact with me about the work to be done, when things would get delivered and the day the work would be completed. The crew I had did an excellent job! They even replaced some bad plywood which the last company that had put the roof on for the prior homeowners did not do.

Jenny and Dan were very helpful in getting me through the process. Work was done as expected and looks good. Work crews were pleasant and hard working, and they left my place looking just as it was before they started. I had a very good experience with Nuvohaus and will recommend them to others with similar needs.

Please don’t hire them if you want to be saved...
This company hires people without experience to replace roof on 100% insurance cost. We have had very bad experience with our roof replacement.
Our single family home with large roof still has Various leaks one year after replacement... they have come out once after complaining for 5-6 months but did not fix any.
We’ve given up and seeking legal advice sue this company for all the damages they have done after replacing our roof and never fix the leaks.
I’ll will not recommend them at all.

An excellent experience overall with Nuvohaus. Charles is the sales rep, Dee, I believe is the owner. I was recommended to Nuvohaus, and glad I was. They delivered on every promise. Siding, roofing, spouts, were all done and done well. Dee was there the whole day to ensure all went well. I dealt with several companies prior to Nuvoahuas and you can tell they were all after the money and only cared about you if you were approved. My experience was very good, the work was quality, and they delivered on every promise.

Amazing this company fixed my house in no time with no doubt. They are awesome! I will always call this company whenever I need help.
