We interviewed several window contractors before selecting Chicagoland. They are good to deal with, quality install, and good follow up. Highly recommend this company.

I called Chicagoland Builders on a small 8 foot piece of trim that had come off on my siding that was installed over 2 years ago by them. They were out in less then 2 days and reattached the piece of trim at no charge. It is great to have a company in this day and age that goes out of their way to provide excellent customer service.

Cut me off in traffic, no turn signal. Speeding 15mph over the speed limit. Tagline on the van states "exceeding your construction expectations" but that clearly doesn't translate to driving.

Edit to Add: You are not an emergency vehicle and still have to abide by traffic laws. The accident you sped up to avoid was because you were tailgating and weaving in and out of traffic. Not really avoiding an accident if you're the one causing it. If you don't like the way the facts about your behavior make you look, perhaps you shouldn't act that way?

Great company. Had new siding and deck done by them. It looks great. Mike is a real nice guy, and when small issues arose after, Anthony, the nicest guy ever, made sure everything was done right. Would recommend to everyone.

Chicagoland builders professionally installed a new roof Hardie board, siding and bay window. We are very pleased with the planning and construction completion for all three projects. Can't say enough great things about them. We used them for new windows. From the initial consultation, Mike was generous, gave us a more than fair quote, and made sure everything was set to go in a timely manner. When it came to the installation, Anthony and his crew were fantastic! This was a difficult job, but Anthony and Danny got it done. Their care and concern for doing a good job made a huge impression on us. Shout out to the rest of the crew, too: Alfredo, Fidel, Juan, and Anibal. The only company I would let do any Hardy board finishes. They are a family owned and operated company that has great prices and professional craftsmen installing Pella windows, room additions and siding.

Working with Mike, Anthony, and Danny was a dream! We are very satisfied with our new windows. We did a whole house replacement in the city with all custom sized windows. They arrived on time, on budget, all of the windows FIT (which I found to be amazing given the variety of shapes and sizes we have). The crew led by Anthony and Danny were so thoughtful and moved amazingly fast. They finished ahead of schedule, even with rotted wood replacement. I’ve been scarred by previous contractors and the various ways they push jobs over budget, skimp on crew and the job runs way over the timeline - this is the complete opposite. If you want an on time job with a happy helpful crew - you’ve found the right bunch!

Chicagoland Builders re-sided our home in the fall of 2021 with all James Hardie products (including soffits and facia)), blue skin house wrap, and Provia doors. We could not be happier with the work that they did. Mike, Cathy, and Bill went above and beyond on our residing project. They were professional, friendly, and approachable (which we appreciated), knowledgeable about the products they offered as well as those they did not offer, responsive to our questions and concerns, and quickly followed up/resolved any issues that arose during the project. The crew that worked on our project was reliable and respectful; they did a great job on the entire project (including yard and driveway/sidewalk cleanup each night before they left).

We had been looking into residing for a few years, and worked with Mike on and off during that time; he was so patient with us while we were making our choices. He took the time to show us products, discuss the quality of the various products, and recommend what would work best or explain why we would or would not want a product.

I've been a LinkedIn connection of Mike's for several years but never connected in person. In the beginning of 2022 I reached out to him and approached him regarding work and business opportunities with our services. Over the course of time after meeting and discussing/qualifying the needs of his clients by referral, a couple more projects were collaborated thereon after executed with a great end result.
What I've come to know about Mike is the quality work he does, the ethics he possesses while working with his clients along with having reputable trades do work within his network when necessary. That is a great quality to have as an owner in the business world. Taking care of the clients you do business for while earning trust and credibility. A hard find.

I have used Chicagoland on multiple projects at my business over the years. About a year ago I started a project on my home. This was a very unique, complicated, gut rehab on a vintage Mid Century Modern home. What my architect had drawn up was anything but ordinary. Chicagoland went above and beyond. Mike and his team were very helpful on the front end, suggesting changes to to the blueprint for a better final product. They were incredibly helpful in assisting us thru the construction loan process. Lou and his on site team showed up everyday, and did not leave until the job was done and finished right. What they were not able to provide with their in house services, they offered reputable subs who could.

Building or renovating a house is not an easy process and often long and ugly. I have heard many horror stories from friends and families of contractors and their home projects. With Chicagoland, we did not have these problems.

This will be the first of many homes I built with Mike, Lou and their team.

Wow wow wow is all i can say!! I replaced my 100 year old cedar siding with custom Hardie board and shingles and it has exceeded my expectations. While other contractors didn’t even mention the size and color options available, Mike made sure i had all the info needed to make the right choice for my home. Frank and Oscar were here every day, working very hard, and cleaning up each day. The disruption was minimal, the work is amazing, and I couldn’t be happier. Mike and Chicagoland Builders are highly recommended! The first time I called was on a holiday weekend 3 years ago - I had a leak in my house. Mike came out to look at the problem that weekend - that was the first great impression. They have done several major projects on my house including repairing/waterproofing a balcony, replacing gutters / leaf guard, and most recently figuring out that a poorly designed roof was causing a bigger problem with leaking -> replaced roof (tear off) and added insulation. We used Mike and Chicagoland Builders to complete a basement remodel in our Arlington Heights home. Their service was very reasonable, completed quickly and exactly to our specifications. Mike the owner was very responsive and came by the job site multiple times to ensure the team was doing the work correctly. He also responded right away to text and calls so we were never left wondering what was going on. He completed the project as a rush for us because we wanted to get it completed in time for Christmas! We are planning to eventually work with them again for a kitchen remodel and to finish our garage.

I found Chicagoland Builders from a friend. I asked them to provide pricing on my home construction project. Chicagoland Builders came in with the best pricing out of 3 contractors. They got involved with design then mobilized their crews to complete the rebuild in 4 months. Project consisted full demolition down to just the brick exterior walls. Then rebuilt our house with a 2nd floor addition going from 850 SF to 2,600 SF with all brand new Infratructure and finishes throughout including master suite, 2 bedrooms each with walk-in closets, 2 bathrooms, laundry room, large kitchen with walk-in pantry, and large living room. Their guys were responsive to the changes we had on the fly. We are very happy how everything turned out and the quality of work is great. We had major storms come through our neighborhood and there was no damage done to our house. Very comforting to know that we had great workmanship done on our home.

Since then we had Chicagoland Builders build our 11’x11’ custom built barn style shed with hardie board siding, shingle roof, concrete floor with ramp and overhead coiling door. The shed looks great! Even our neighbors say we have the best looking shed in the neighborhood!

After the horror of a terrible contractor who didn’t know how to install Hardie, our experience with Chicagoland Builders was wonderful. Mike came out when he said he would, gave us a fair estimate and the work his company did was great! His employees were on time every day, were highly skilled, worked hard and cleaned up every day. There was a supervisor on site every day and everyone communicated well with us. The work was excellent and we are thrilled with look of the Hardie siding. We could not be more pleased with the job that Chicagoland Builders recently performed on our home including replacing of all of our windows and a storm door. In addition to the windows, we had an extensive amount of work done including having all 4 of our roofs (2 shingle and 2 flat) completely redone. We also had all of our siding, fascia, soffits and gutters replaced.

What was so very impressive was the fact that there were several areas that required repair that we were unaware of both on one of our roofs and on a portion of our fascia until the old material was removed such as rotted or warped wood. These unknown problems were brought to my attention and were dealt with appropriately. Their crew dealt with all of these previously unknown issues making all of the necessary repairs.

All of the work was completed on time and on budget. Their crews kept me informed as the work proceeded and all of the debris was cleaned up everyday before the workers left. When the job was 100% complete we did an inspection together with the crew leader to make certain we were happy and that everything was taken care of as expected.

Lastly, I know and am not at all surprised, that several of our neighbors were also very impressed with the job they did and likely will be using Chicagoland Builders as well.

We contracted with Mike & Chicagoland for a master bedroom addition after speaking with one another one of their customers who were more than satisfied. We completed the job approximately 3 years ago & overall couldn’t be happier. Especially considering the need for extra space over the last couple years.

The look, quality materials used & the personal touch of dealing with the owner of business who is always on call and responsive made us feel confident in our choice of builder. What I appreciate most is the value they were able to provide. Chicagoland delivered at a competitive price using top of the line materials and even when there were design changes & setbacks Mike worked to honor agreed upon quote where able the team worked to see each item on punch list through.

We had a great experience at first with this company. They promised a quality product and responsive service as justification for their above average price. We waited a very long time for a door replacement for which we prepaid.

The installation was fast and pretty good. Due to the design of the door, there is a trip hazard at the lip that didn't exist in our previous installation. This unfortunately wasn't disclosed during the sale process or we may have chosen a different model.

The installers struggled to get the installation correct and it requires some force to close the door and lock it. They used the phrase "go ahead and just slam it" as a workaround.

The screen wasn't installed properly, so we contacted them to have it corrected. They accused us of damaging the door (even though we took pictures at install time) but agreed to make the repair anyway just this one time. After several follow-ups and reminders they finally made it out to repair the door and the results are terrible. There are wide holes in the screen and the screen is installed at an angle (see pictures in post).

Would I use this company again? No.

Edit: We received a reply to this review accusing us (again) of damaging our own screen on purpose and not contacting them immediately. I've posted screenshots of the text message I sent the day of install as well as a screenshot of the review to combat gaslighting. This is not how a professional should respond to negative and honest feedback.

Mike and his crew did an amazing job with our Hardie siding, and his quote was by far the best we received. Midway through the project I requested some alterations, which they added free of charge. They cleaned up the site every night, and tolerated our dogs chasing the crew around the house. I couldn't be happier with the finished product, and we've received multiple compliments from our neighbors on the new siding. I highly recommend Chicagoland Builders!

We have an older home in Glenview and used Chicagoland Builders for an extensive Hardie siding project. The team was fantastic and the work was top notch. Oscar leads a solid, experienced crew and they go above and beyond. We had Frank supervising and everything was on time and in budget. I recommend this crew 100%. Excellent experience with Chicagoland Builders. After a tree fell in a storm crushing our deck and damaging our siding, Chicagoland Builders put everything back together better than it originally was. Everyone notices the high quality materials. The crew was professional and courteous. Would highly recommend!

To make a long story short, I was informed by about 10 "window experts" that it would be almost impossible to find someone who would be willing to build the type of windows I was interested in for my basement. Not so with Chicagoland Builders, Inc. As soon as I explained to Mike R what i wanted he immediately said "No problem". I ended up ordering 11 additional windows for our sunroom and two doors.

Due to the world wide current situation of delays and what not, the delivery took a little longer than expected. But once my order was in and installed I have to admit, it was sooo worth the wait. I even felt somewhat guilty for "bugging" them so much.

The installers names were Francisco, Guadalupe, Abel, Andres and Mat. They worked extremely hard for two days in a row in very cold weather and not once did I hear them complain. They even went beyond the call of duty cheerfully fixing here and there some imperfections around the windows. This showed me how detailed they were and how seriously they took their job. But what impressed me the most about them was their attitude; friendly, courteous and respectful!

I lLOVE my windows and doors and I'm extremely happy with Chicagoland Builders, Inc.craftsmanship. Obviously, I recommend them 100% and give five stars for a job well done!

Mike is the brother of a good friend of mine. He sent a "sub contractor " to do some repair to a window well leak. He quoted us $350 and because the guy he sent didn't know what he was doing, he spent way more time on the job than necessary. We ended up paying $750 and the job wasn't even done properly. Mike agreed to give back a portion of my money. Contacted him several times asking where my check was with no response. Needless to say, I never received the check and had to hire someone else and spend more money to fix the window well leak. If he would do this to a friend of the family, he would do this to you as well. Think twice!

A neighbor of mine had a remodel done and after complimenting her work she sung praises about this company. I decided to start looking into them. After seeing some of the poor reviews I was a bit reluctant but decided to have Mike come out to give me an estimate for all of the work I needed done.

Mike showed up with cookies and muffins for my estimate and that made me think, "oh no, he is one of those sales guys". After reviewing my "honey do" list he gave me ideas on how we could spread the work out in phases that brought costs down and makes scheduling easier for both of us.

We just completed phase one of our projects and I seriously couldn't be happier. The windows turned out absolutely fantastic and his crew was professional, courteous and diligent the entire time. They respected my home and most importantly my time. I cannot wait until we start phase 2 in spring!

Therefore, I must say if you are looking for an honest sales guy who bakes damn good cookies and muffins (you must give me your recipe) then Mike is the guy for you.

The new windows were installed professionally and have made a huge difference in our historic home. BUYER BEWARE! We've now had to engage an attorney. Mike Rossier is a crook and never performed services we signed and paid for. We agreed to a $20,000 window project. Mike was very quick to have us sign the contract and pay 50% up front (almost $10k). He cashed our check back in October and its now March 7 and we still have not had the windows installed. He's given excuse after excuse whether its that hes waiting for materials, the Pella factory moved, weather, etc. He hasn't communicated anything with us and we've had to follow up with him for any updates since October.

I would stay as far away from this business as possible and whatever you do, do not give him money up front!

We at Climate Solutions Windows and Doors manufacture windows for Chicagoland Builders. Chicagoland has now bounced 3 checks totaling $4961.00 for windows. this has now gone on for 2 months All attempts to recover this money have failed. We now have no other option other then seeking legal action against Chicagoland.

I would like to respond to your reply. 1. Not once have you mentioned any sizing issues. We made your windows to the exact specifications you gave us. 2. When the checks bounced you said it was due to your account being compromised at the bank and you would need a few days to straiten it out. 3. You then dodged every phone call until I called from a number you didn't recognize.

At this point we are unsure as to which one of your many stories to believe. I would like to assume that you are just bad at managing your cash flow vs the idea that you want to be in breach of contract with us and the homeowners you provided our windows to.

Please save yourself the grief and time and don't hire this company. The communication with them is exceptionally bad. They subcontract almost all their work out and really don't have communication with sub contractors. We gave them the job of fixing up our house on September 1st. They started working on the house October 1st after they said they would start on September 15th, right after our closing. We had no problem with most of the subcontractors. The guys who put in our carpeting and windows were fine. The stairs were poorly placed by one of their actual employees. There was a gap in them and we had to repair it using someone else we hired. They also put them through our basement closet, damaging some shelves and destroying the wall. We had to repair that as well. They also wanted to pull out our old cabinets without a date that the new ones would be installed. They never even gave us a start date, an end date or even a timetable that these repairs would be done. Our biggest problem was with their painters, who actually work for the company. They got paint on our new carpet and broke things and failed to let us know till we noticed them. They didn't cover up our baseboards properly and got paint on it which we have to re stain. We asked the company to clean the mold off the walls in our basement. They were told to clean it with bleach by four different people, including their boss. They started simply painting over the mold with primer to cover it up. That was when we had enough and we asked them to leave. We are going to hire another company to clean it and finish the rest of the work around our new home. How can you run a company like this
