Over the last 7 years, Nutmeg Building and Remodeling has remodeled our kitchen, both bathrooms & our family room. They have demolished an old shed, replaced the front door, installed our siding and installed our windows. We have always gotten numerous quotes and Denise is not always the lowest, but we keep going back to her because she is honest, fairly priced and does quality work. We have had a couple instances where we were not pleased with something and Denise was quick to respond and resolve the issue. This is not uncommon in construction jobs and you really want someone who is easy to talk to and responsive and that is Denise. We will continue to use Nutmeg Building and Remodeling and refer them whenever we are given the opportunity.

Nutmeg is the best!! I just completed an 8 month home addition and complete interior renovation and I’m so happy I chose Denise and her team. As I had never done anything like this, I was very nervous going into it. Denise spent loads of time with me going over ever last detail. I made numerous changes to the project and it was never an issue. The costs were always very clear and upfront. All her guys were amazing, very professional, polite, and the quality of their work was the best. I’m a very detail person and every last detail was taken care of. I highly recommend Denise and her team if you’re looking for quality work, people who are responsive to your needs and easy to work with. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Nutmeg has done tons of work on my home, and most recently made another round of improvements. They very capably converted a full bathroom to a powder room, expanded a coat closet and replaced a kitchen backsplash. Great work, fair price, nice staff. They are my “go to” home improvement company.

Could not be more pleased with the work from Denise Nott and her team from Nutmeg Building and Remodeling in Ledyard, CT. I had severe water damage from a cracked sewer pipe and they were right on top of everything. They took care of calling in a plumber ( Brown and Sons). They were also conscientious enough to get a cleaner in for mold control. They worked around my tenants schedule and made sure he was back in his place for Christmas. The apartment is beautiful. I have recently had the pleasure of working directly with Denise Nott of Nutmeg Building and Remodeling. My husband and I both enjoyed thei experience. I have never met a more honest compassionate, clean contractor. She has been more than willing to be patient with me during our project.

Sometimes you get it right and sometimes you don't. I got it wrong with Nutmeg Remodeling and Builders. Damage was done to parts of my house that were not being rennovated. The workmanship was poor at times and then the company argued that it was normal and perfectly fine. Workers pointed fingers at each other when mistakes we're made, there was no accountability. There was considerable employee turnover. I had a difficult time getting things corrected. Project cost increased between quoted work and completed project. Workers had no repect for my property. Please pick another contractor for your project.

⚠️ Had a major insurance job that needed to be done. Made final payment under the assumption they completed the job that day. We tried numerous times through their worker and their office to get them back out to put the hinges on our seating unit under the bookshelf they built, fix our doorknob, and fix a few things that have broke since. They never called us back and their worker eventually stopped messaging us back too. Initially we thought they were amazing but after they get their money they do not care. They are over priced and not consistent enough to ever use again. Especially considering things are already breaking...... Please be advised. ⚠️

Follow-up: the shelves on the bookcase are already bowing. They were not made strong enough to hold the weight of books and one has already collapsed. We will need to do some work on our own to help make a center support. Very disappointed.
