Nu View Construction

I make an appointment for someone to come out to my property and give me a “free estimate” to build an ADU based on a Facebook ad. I get a call morning of, “can we reschedule?” So I set an appointment for the following week. I get a confirmation text the day before and confirm. 2nd appointment is a no call no show second time I took off work to meet with these fools. Don’t bother.

NU-View was great. They were professional and fast. Our project manager was responsive at all times, even after hours. Our builders were wonderful. We love our new patio and patio cover.

Job well done from start to finish. Nate completed the initial roof and gutter inspection, identified location of leaks, defined the scope of work as well as required materials and in a timely manner provided a competitive cost proposal. Roof was leaking and he was able to have his team start and finish the project on the next non rainy days. Final cost was exactly as estimated. Nate was an excellent project manager, effective communicator, and kept us in the loop on all details. The new roof enhances the appearance of our home plus the ventilation system is a definite benefit. We would highly recommend Nate and Nu View Construction for any home improvement project.

Nate, Abraham and team have created a solution for my flat roof nightmare. From inches of standing water, clogged down spouts, and dry rot to a new, solid, redesigned roof that drains! They assisted with removing the old, non-functioning spouts so I could clean up the general look of the house. Thank you for working so hard to make sure everything was right!

Romi and her team at Nu View Construction did an outstanding job replacing my mother’s deck and shed roof in Salem. Since my mom is elderly and I live out of town, I needed a contractor I could trust, and they exceeded my expectations. The pricing was very fair, the workmanship was top-notch, and the communication throughout the project was excellent. Romi kept me updated every step of the way, ensuring my mom was well taken care of. It’s hard to find reliable contractors, but Nu View proved to be honest, professional, and dependable. 1) Price gouging *word to the wise: don't wait till the eleventh hour to get bids for time-sensitive repairs; 2) Only one worker showed up...late in the day without knowing full scope of the job, without all required materials & without on-site supervision as promised by the project manager; 3) Sloppy workmanship; 4) Poor communication & overall lack of stewardship from beginning to end. REPLY TO NU-VIEW posted Feb 11, 2025: Chimney repair was scheduled for Sept 21, 2024, then rescheduled for next day (for reasons explained above) and was completed Sept 23rd. You're located at 1430 SE Water Ave Unit 209, Portland, OR 97214 & the person in charge of my chimney job was Nate Chay, Project Manager. I sent Mr. Chay my feedback via e-mail October 29, 2024, (including a photo of the chimney after it was painted) & followed-up with a text to alert him of my feedback but never received a reply.

Nu-view construction is an amazing company. They were so helpful, attentive, knowledgeable and delivered high quality work as well as outstanding customer service. I highly recommend Nate and the rest of his team, they were such a pleasure to work with. They made sure that we were happy and satisfied with the end product. They really pay attention to every detail. They were responsive and listened to our concerns. We will definitely hire them for other future home repair/ improvement projects.

Nate and his team at Nu View construction were truly one of the best contractors we’ve ever worked with. With our roof leaking Nate was able to find the problem and give us clear and honest options. The whole team was absolutely amazing, the craftsmanship was a 10/10, the company is reasonably price. Nate specifically was hands down the best project manager I've ever met. His attentiveness, frequency of updates, and knowledge of the project was outstanding. I can tell you that because of this, I will be spending the rest of my renovation budget on my home in Dunthorpe with Nu View Construction, so long as Nate is our project manager :)

Nu-View construction did a great job on my roof , after a small fire ruin some trusses in our roof we start collecting estimates , after meeting the representative from Nu-View construction ,Nate , I knew that I can trust him to deliver our wants and needs , the bid was competitive to the others we got , once I gave Nate thumbs up within three days all the material arrived and the crew already start working , they finish in two days , left all the yard clean from debris and nails and did a great job. I highly recommend. And definitely will hire them in the future.

We are new homeowners that had a water leak in our bathroom. We completed water mitigation and needed a rebuild done. We met with Romi and Isaac and decided to go with them for the rebuild. I want to preface this that they are very nice people and say a lot of nice things. But there were arguments and things done that were not done correctly and there were a lot of excuses. I also did not know they do not have their own people, it seems they contract their work out. The people that did the rebuild on our home were from 4T construction. And the subsequent visits to “fix” the issues were also not people from Nu View.

The original vanity to the home has to be removed. During our meet we decided that no paint needed to be done, but I told them the new vanity does not attach to the wall so that will need to be addressed. When they completed the work they installed the new vanity, but the wall clearly needed to be addressed. The response I received was that they guys have a list to complete and they just do what they are sent to do. Isaac was over seeing and I asked why he did not stop and let me know what things looked like before continuing, because that is what he is there to do. It was all excuses, and they told me things after they were completed and couldn’t be fixed. There was an issue with placement of the vent as well. When we started I told them I don’t want this project done quickly, I want it done correctly. The vent piece was on back order for 2 weeks so they tried to fit something that did not fit.

This was all under an insurance claim so we decided to paint to make sure everything was properly finished. The paint job was just like everything else. It was done in a hurry and not correctly. There is paint everywhere and taping was not done, which was also a fee.

We ended with Nu View and I am having a new contractor come out to fix the issues, and because insurance has already paid, we have to do this out of our own pocket. I did not want any bias in what the new contractor had to say so we simply did not tell them what had happened with Nu View. We have come to find out the wrong type of caulking was used for the project and that is why is it is cracking and chipping. This project was completed just a couple of months ago.

There were so many issues and Nu View was out several times to try and make me happy, but kept doing things half way. They didn’t seem to hear me when I expressed my issues. If I wanted a handy man to complete my project I would have hired one. I hired a co tractor for a reason. A professional with experience. I decided not to contact them any longer and just move on. To replace LVP flooring, install a vanity, replace “parts” or the sub floor, and to paint was just under $10,000. I have included pictures for what I have to show for this project.

After last week rain our roof started leaking, my wife gets very nervous when she hears the cost of couple estimates that we got for the replacement, after meeting with the Romi she help us budget the project and gave good solution with financing the project , the job was done within a few days , we are ready for the winter and want to thank Romi for the reliable service , thanks again

The guys did for us very good job on our siding replacement, we had old Vynil siding and after discussing with Nate the project manager we decided to go with James Hardie boards , the results came up better then expected, we are very happy with Nu view team !

The guys come by to provide the estimate, we got the best impression out of the 5 estimates that we got , we moved forward after a week , they was professional and honest , the remodel take them 4 days after material arrived , and we cannot be more happy with the results, definitely will use there services again !!!

Nu view construction did a great job for my roof replacement , All the process after the estimate was provided took about five days , The roof look great. The price was competitive. And the communication was amazing, highly recommend!!

My experience with Nu view construction was great , first of all we had to deal with the insurance claim after a pipe burst and damage our all kitchen and living room area , it’s was a bit of a headache to deal with the insurance company, and the all the bids was much higher then what we got from State Farm , after we met Romi from Nu view team she handle all the paperwork and the claim from the insurance and got much more that they initially give us , all the renovations was under our budget, she was just wonderful to work with and make it stress-free for me and my wife , we are really appreciate the effort, thank you Romi and for all the team who make the process for us !!

Nu view construction are top notch, the quality of there work is outstanding, we get about 4 bids , after consideration and talking with Nate the project manager we decided to go with Nu view for our roof replacement, and after they finish I can say that I’m glad that I did , everything is done in 3 days , always on time, efficient and clean , they even get for me housekeeping services for us , which was amazing , thank you guys for making the extra effort for me !!

The Nu-Vu construction team came to my house to complete work needed after a shower cartridge failed. The task was complicated by bamboo flooring that needed to be reinstalled using the same pattern as the original. They did an outstanding job from the minute they showed up promptly at my door to asses the renovation/repair work. Both Romi and Isaac are incredibly personable and professional. They immediately got started measuring and talking out the details of what needed to be accomplished. The replacement bamboo wasn't an easy find, but they kept at it and found it! All supplies were delivered quickly and after they introduced me to the construction PM, the work commenced and was completed in a very timely manner. Their follow up and commitment to me as their customer is nothing short of perfection. These guys are top notch at their job. I am very happy to recommend them to anyone looking to get quality work done and will be giving their contact info to 2 members of my family who need renovation done at their houses. Today I met two of the nicest and most knowledgeable representatives I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am on disability and have been for the past 12 years,and although we can't do what they suggested I wish we could have. They were willing to do whatever we needed to help us,but the reality was we just can't do it. The only way to even get close is to do everything myself,so that's what I am going to do,but under different circumstances I would have loved to work with those two people. We had interviewed several other contractors but went with Nate because of his upbeat and positive attitude. He took the time to answer our questions clearly and honestly. Nate, one of the owners, is truly passionate about getting the job done well, they always went the extra mile to make sure things turned out great (and often better than expected). This company does not try to cut any corners at all to save a dollar, their goal is quality and it shows. Anything that was not as close to perfect as possible they would change for the better at their discretion. We are so happy with the finished product.
When going in to big project (master bath remodel) we knew it would be stressful but honestly the Nu View team took a ton of stress off our shoulders and carried it for us. Romi saved the day multiple times and was always quick to respond. The communication was great (which is rare with contractors) we often talked to romi several times a day (when needed) because we had questions and we knew we could always call her and get an answer.. We were also impressed with the demo crew, particularly Tomas, who was very respectful of our home and went out of his way to be helpful to us And the work area was cleaned everyday throughout the whole project.
I also must note the tile work is so beautiful!
Honestly it was a great experience and we can’t wait until our next project with them!!

Amazing experience they started the kitchen and bathroom remodel sooner than planned they finished the remodels sooner then I thought, Jose kept in touch the whole process making suggestions and was just amazing he went out of his way to make sure I was happy during the entire project my bathroom look amazing suer happy with them !!

NU View construction exceeded our expectations! Jason is both personable and professional. He welcomes questions and concerns and is easy to communicate with. When the roofing material we chose was not immediately available, he upgraded us to a higher quality material at no extra charge. Using higher quality materials (such as better underlayment and hot dipped nails) is "On Tops" standard practice, unlike other roofing companies who charge extra for it. We received bids from other roofing companies that were a lot more expensive, yet they used lower quality materials.

Our roof was old and after 21 years and some leaks we decided that we are need a new one , we went with Nu view construction after they was nice patient and professional with me and my wife , after the results came up we was so happy and satisfied , see you guys in our next project !!
