Northwest Roof Tech

Called for an estimate to get roof repaired from damage due to February wind storm. I explained to estimator that It was urgent to get the roof repaired as soon as possible due to all the rain in the forecast. He agreed but it has been 48 hrs. and I have not received the estimate. This is not how you get new business. I have chosen another roofer who gave me an estimate same day.

We had a leak in our roof and NWRT was out within minutes to assess and had their team out the next day to complete the repair. Everyone that I have interacted with has been extremely professional and friendly. They will be our go to from now on. Thank you NWRT :)

NW Roof Tech did an amazing job on our roof, working in a tight space, three stories up. They cleaned up shingles that had fallen inside our neighbor’s fence, installed new skylights, and made sure the roof over our porch was finished to our liking. Incredibly, the whole job cost less than the estimate. Would gladly recommend them to others. Thank you!

BEWARE! Our roof has been leaking since we had it installed by Northwest Roof Tech. For 25 years, we never had any issues until they did our new roof. We've had a number of different leaks, starting almost immediately after it was done. When we reach out, we keep getting the run around from the company. We've had to hire another company to fix the most recent leak. For the repair, got three estimates from other roofers all noting that the roof wasn't installed to manufacturer's specifications. Certainteed (the shingles manufacturer) said when asked to look at the shingles, that the nails were installed too deep. In our living room ceiling, you can see little pools of water where the nail holes. We've had a couple larger leaks in our bathroom, bedroom, and garage. A new leak started in the most recent rain. Still no fix from the company that said they would stand by their work.

UPDATE: We had to have our roof completely redone by another company as Northwest Roof Tech would not reply to my many attempts to schedule. It turns out all the plywood was completely molded and should have been replaced when they did the roof, flashing was incorrectly installed causing additional leaks, and many short cuts were taken. Do not use this company!

The response by this company is an example of the gaslighting and refusal to take responsibility I experienced. The reason the roof failed is they reroofed without replacing plywood as needed. When I attempted to reschedule fixes they gave excuses like “it’s normal for roofs to be soft” (even weeks after our new roof) and now they are saying it is the shingles when it was not the root cause. After getting the new shingles I made multiple attempts to schedule with them to install and they were unresponsive then gave me the run around so I had to pay another company OUT of POCKET to fix what they should have honored under their contract warranty.

Amazing! They came out same day to replace my roof vent that had fallen off! It was so fast, and they were so nice! Will definitely be calling them if I ever need anything else done with my roof.

They were the first roofers who actually went on my roof to do the estimate, then told me I could probably wait 2-3 more years. Finding someone that honest these days isn't easy so decided to go ahead and replace it now. They did an excellent job, were very fast, were very nice and considerate, and left the yard cleaner than it was to begin with! Would definitely recommend!

I got 3 bids to put a new roof on my home. NW Roofing Tech was the first and I knew I wanted to go with them. Without the money to replace it they helped us to make it weather tight until we had the funds to install a new roof. They are incredibly responsive and helpful. Amazing work from start to finish. Even during a heat wave of temperatures 105 degrees plus. They were professional and perfect in everything that they did. Our roof looks amazing and they made no mess at all in our yard while removing and installing the roof on our house. This company dealt with us in a very professional manner. They arrived early, worked hard all day and completed the job in 4 days! They repaired the 20 year old roof and cleaned up after the job was completed. Our gutters were also cleaned and ready. We would recommend them for sure.

NW Roof Tech installed our new roof in July. This included removing 3 layers of old roof and installing plywood roof sheathing. The price was much lower than other estimates and they were highly recommended by a coworker. Everything went as communicated and smoothly! NW Roof Tech installed our roof about 5 years ago. Not long after the install, there was a small leak in a tricky eave. NW Roof Tech sent a guy out in the middle of the storm at about 7 pm. He fixed the leak and we haven't had any issues since. They provided an affordable, competitive price, did quality work, and responded quickly with the one issue we had. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof.

We experienced a sudden, rather catastrophic skylight leak during a strong rainstorm that was going to last a couple days. Called all over Portland - even tried Angies List - NO RESPONSES!! Finally found Northwest Roof Tech. They (TIm) were the only company who responded and quickly came out and stopped the leak temporarily. The next day they came out to study the situation in more detail, found a couple other issues including some ridge shingles that were cracking. Set a repair date. Crew was friendly, on time, did the job quickly, cleaned up and even did an excellent job of matching the existing shingle color.

No leaks at all since then! Very satisfied - Highly recommend.

Kip came out the same day I called, identified the problem and solution. About a week later, roof vents were repaired and all is dry in the attic again.
Quote was less than expected. Would definitely call them again, if needed……but I hope I never do!

Someone from this company just came out and sat in my driveway for 30 minutes while banging on my doorbell/door.

Once they realized nobody was home they got up on my roof without permission and did who knows what. I could've been liable if they were injured on a wet slippery roof of my property. I don't know what kind of scam you're running here but stay away from people's homes, especially during a pandemic.

Great experience with Northwest Roof Tech...installed a new roof on house and garage and after large storms, came right away to repair garage leak. I highly recommend them!!

They did our new roof about 5 years ago, and came back to repair damage from tree falling on house recently. Workers were friendly and competent. One of them went the extra mile and helped me spread some moss killer while he was up there.

NW Roof Tech performed some repair work on my roof (loose flashings, a leak, and some loose shingles). They did a great job! They were on time and did the work exactly as quoted. I also had them inspect the roof to let me know how much more life was in it. I expected them to try to sell me a roof right away, but they said I had at least 5 more years left! I plan on calling them in 5 years when I need a new roof.

Great company. Fair price, quick, clean conscientious crew who knew what they were doing. We will definitely call them in forty years or so to do it again.

This company did a fantastic job on my re-roof. They were on time and cleaned up everything afterward. The price was very fair. I would definitely use them again!

Everyone was very professional in their work. They kept us informed about their progress and told us about parts that needed attention. Everything thing was done with our approval.

Caution! Don't use this company. My roof seemed to be ok when installed 11 years ago on my 25 year roof. As I learned 25 year roof means nothing to this company because the owner states they only warranty for 2!!! Even upon tearing off of old roof they installed, new roofing company said they had only put down one thin layer of felt and no ice and water shield layer! To add to that they also should have never installed the composition roof they did because of the pitch!!!!! Buyer beware of this company!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a chronic leak that other companies had tried unsuccessfully to stop. NorthWest Roof Tech responded in a timely manner, and what they proposed made sense, and was beyond what the other companies had done. The work was done without disturbing the tenants, and we are to call the company after the next series of heavy rains. So far there have been only light to moderate rains, but we cannot hurry a rainstorm. Tim Norman has assured me that they will be out immediately if the repairs are in any way inadequate.
They are an easy company with whom to work. We will use them again.

I am really happy with the work that NW Roof Tech did. They redid our chimney flashing/counter flashing and vented out attic, along with a few other repairs. The great work they did extended the life of our roof and when we need a new one, I will definitely use these guys again. Fair pricing for a job well done!! Also they were great about answering all the questions I had.

They've come to help us twice. The first time was an attic vent job, and they did exactly what we expected for a fair price, including giving an estimate of the minimum number of years we can likely expect out of our roof. The second time was even better. In startlingly short order, an estimator came to see what was causing a 6" x 1/2" damp spot on a ceiling. He popped up on the roof, and agreed with me that it might simply be moss clumped in a valley, wicking rain water up under a couple of asphalt shingles. He cleaned the moss out since he was up there anyway, instructed me to outline the damp spot on the ceiling with a pencil line and then call them for a repair if the damp spot continued to grow. It didn't, and I'm very happy to recommend. Will absolutely call them next time we need a roofer!

They're the real deal. They delivered what they promised, a new roof, and do very quickly. The team working on the roof we're all very friendly, too.

Very friendly, informative employees. I had to wait a bit because they are swamped and because of weather, but the repair was good and fair pricing.

The quality of work is first class. I have a very complex metal roof with raised skylights that has off and on leaked for over 15 years. Several other companies tried to do repairs. Northwest Roof Tech finally did the job correctly and at a reasonable price.

They reroofed the house expeditiously and came back two years later to take care of a ventilation problem without charge.

They've done many properties for us. They always did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves when they were done.
Two of the roofs had to have the rafters rebuilt because they were so damaged. (We buy fixers)
We always get 3 bids and they aren't always the lowest bid, rarely the highest bid, but they have a proven track record with us and we'll call them again when we need another roof."

Great work done; they had to come back to fix something that wasn't quite right and we appreciate them being so prompt to repair it to our satisfaction.

Got 3 bids before I chose them. They used comparable high-quality products at a reasonable price. The final cost was exactly what they quoted me. They are efficient too. I deducted one star because I noticed that 2 window screens were torn open a little bit probably by their ladders or tools.

These folks installed a new roof on our house with a minimum of fuss. They were fast, economical and did a nice quality job. We will use them again when the time comes to replace our roof again.

I am a real estate agent and recommend NW Roof Tech for client roofing needs. NW Roof Tech also performed a full tear off and installed a new, lifetime roof on my own house. That's always a good sign I think - if a realtor uses the contractor for their own home! Tim is super responsive and they do good work! Our clients have been very happy. NW Roof Tech did a great job for us. Complete replacement of an old wood shake roof with a new comp roof. They did the work with minimal impacts to our renters who were living in the house at the time. Kept the area picked up and did a great job cleaning up the ground after of any little nails or small pieces of debris. Roof looks great.

Did a fantastic job! Replaced our roof when we moved into our new house and did it in a timely fashion. Only issue that we've had is that one of the vents was misaligned to the kitchen fan. Other than that, it's perfect!

My overall experience with Northwest Roof Tech was extremely good. I will definitely reach out to them again in the future with any roof issues.

The price as well as the speed and quality of work was exceptional. The only thing which keeps me from giving 5 stars is I am still finding debris from when the worked on the roof over a month ago. It seems like a little more attention could have been paid to the clean up. Other than that I am very happy.

Pretty cut and dry estimate, no BS. It was less expensive for basically the same product that the others offered. and it only ended up costing something like 75 bucks per sheet that they had to replace of the actual plywood under the shingles. that was a few years ago. It might cost a little more now.

We had a rather large and high roof with steep parts I was concerned initially for the safety of the roofers. Immediately I realized these guys knew exactly what they were doing. It was like an army descending on our home with military precision Taking off the old shingles installing plywood it was amazing to watch. Highly recommend this firm.

They worked incredibly hard and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Price was lowest out of 7 bids. Definitely recommend!

From start to finish, great company/people to work with. Loved that Tim was a no pressure sales guy and very personable. The crew that came was diligent, detailed, professional and super nice. Aciano went above and beyond by coming back after the job was done to take care of some detailing, and even brought a trap and set it for me in case critters were still in my house. Price was decent too. Highly recommend.

These guys are no nonsense roofers that will get the job done fast, do it correctly, and for a reasonable price. You will be pleased with results. The first bid we got from a large Vancouver company was literally twice as much money.

UPDATE: After I posted this review the company moved quickly to resolve the issue. I was immediately contacted and the fan was installed the next day.

Their work product is great, but their follow through and communication is very poor. They did some repair work on our old house that we had to badger them regarding payment. I asked about making a deposit and final payment. I received no response, and the work crew didn't ask for payment. It was only after repeated asks after-the-fact that I was finally sent an invoice.

They also did the roof replacement on the new house we were buying. They didn't install the agreed-upon solar attic fan. This was discovered months later when hanging Christmas lights. They committed to installing it per the original bid. However, that resolution process was started 50 days ago. We're still waiting for our install to be scheduled.

Northwest Roof Tech did a great job replacing my roof. Their crew was very professional, clean and fast. It was a challenging project and a copper gutter was damaged while hauling the roofing materials, but they took full responsibility and replaced the gutter quickly. Their service before, during and after the job was excellent. Highly recommended!

They came as scheduled and finished our roof in two days. The crew worked extremely hard and cleaned up well. They worked on the back and replaced it the first day, then they came the next day, which was Saturday and finished the front.

We had been dealing with a leak for many years and tried to fix it many times, they found the problem area and replaced rotten plywood and it no longer leaks.
