Been needing to replace my roof shingles for well over a year. The cost of construction materials has not been going down. So It’s been past due and time to bite the bullet. I received quotes from three “local” contractors. Turns out two of them had been bought out by larger corporations. It was evident that Northwest Construction was owned and operated very much locally. All three quotes I had received were within $1,000 of each other. So I chose solely based on dealing with a true local company. I’m very glad I made the right choice.
They had provided convincing arguments to complete a complete tear off of the existing shingles. And looking back and seeing all of the old damaged boards that needed to be replaced that was clearly the best route.
Although they had a busy schedule, they were able to work my project in between other larger jobs. Within a couple of weeks they had all of the supplies ordered and dropped off at the house the day before installation.
The team of eight installers arrived early to tear off the old shingles. They were very particular about replacing old worn out boards in the process taking about six hours just taking off the old roof and making repairs.
Taking about an hour lunch break to cool off from an unusually hot August day, they went straight into installation. Drip edges, vents, under layment, and shingles. They worked non-stop to get 99% of the job complete before the last bit of daylight. The crew leader returned the next day with another worker to finish up detail work and run the magnet around the yard to pick up any errant nails left behind.
Everyone involved was kind, courteous, and seemed interested in completing the project properly. Any future projects that I may need done, they will certainly be my first contact.

I met with one of the contractors in hopes of getting an estimate for work that I needed done on September 6, 2023. I was informed that I would receive a quote within a few days. A few days went by, and I didn't get a quote. I called and was informed that I would receive it at the beginning of the following week. Still nothing! I called again and left a message and have not received a return call. It's literally been 3 weeks.

I value my time and money. I can not rate the construction, but I am rating the service, which more than likely reflects what you'll receive.
