After 2 years our roof is leaking, we tried to call them since April and can't get a call back. Their warranty is really bad as well. It only applies to the first owner, so if you buy a house with their owner their warranty doesn't extend to you...Figure that

They performed work for the previous home owner less than a year ago however I can smell moisture in one room already. We have called them to come check their work however they never answer the phone. They don't even know who we are and they still don't answer our calls. For all they know we could have been new customers. How do these guys even make money?

Scummy contractors, unwilling to uphold their warranty claims and avoiding contact with us. We have tried calling them at least 10 times over the course of a few months and no response or answer.

I have to say that George and Michael do great work. I did have a little bit of an issue because my roof in particular is funky. They addressed it right away and were very professional and responsive. It is hard to find anyone who stands behind their work anymore. I appreciate these guys going above and beyond.

NSS installed our roof and gutters. They damaged our siding while in the process and took 4 months to replace, and did a terrible job. The gutters were failing immediately. They spray painted the corners, so now we have peeled off white corners which are supposed to be black. It’s the most unprofessional job. I’ve called George every week for 9 months. At first he was full of false promises, then he made excuses, then he got mad at me and acted like we weren’t being reasonable since he couldn’t find reliable help, then he just quit responding. It puts a pit in my stomach that he was paid and all this time it hasn’t been taken care of and now we have to get lawyers involved. Never in my life have a dealt with such a negligent and disrespectful contractor.

North Sound Services installed a new roof and converted Dutch gutters to conventional gutters on my old house, plus installed TPO on the flat carport. It required tearing off five layers of the the old roof!, And revealed unexpected extensive damage underneath. George, the owner, was involved throughout the whole process and always available. He was extremely reasonable on the extra labor and material charges required to do the repairs and I feel like it was done right. He called me daily with updates and sent pictures. When I went by in person, the foreman, his son Michael, always took time to explain everything to me. I would definitely use North Sound Services again.

Service questions

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
