When I was left in a difficult situation with my first roofing contractor failing to purchase the materials and complete the job, Fly Guys flew in to save the day. I had been without a roof for over two months, April -May. They completed my four buildings in a day. It was incredible and they did a magnificent job. I would highly recommend Fly Guys to anyone, especially before they hired the wrong guy.

Fly Guys recently did a full roof and insulation replacement for me and they did a fantastic job. They were very quick and had the job complete in just 1 day! I'm currently sitting warm and dry in my house while it rains outside. Good work guys!!

Last Friday, you contacted me in a rush, insisting on scheduling a job for Saturday at 7 am. During our initial conversation, you made derogatory remarks about Mexican roofers and the effect they had on your business. You requested my drone services to help your business stand out from all "the effing Mexican illegals" and then had a blatant tirade of workers' compensation solely based on racial stereotypes. As a business person and black man, I find your remarks offensive and entirely unprofessional. People who know you will read this and know my statements are truthful.

Despite my reservations, I agreed to proceed with the arrangement because, ultimately, business shouldnt be influenced by personal offense. So I arrived at Chuckanut Crest location at 7 am as per your request, I had to wake up at 5:30AM on my Saturday. There was no sign of any Fly Guys Roofing vehicles or personnel, despite it being a roofing job where one would expect a visible presence of trucks everywhere and likely around a dozen guys since you said it was a one-day roof job, that would require a lot labor and equipment. I texted you then.

After several attempts to contact you, including texts and even sending a picture of the property prior to leaving at 7:20, I received no response. Then I decided to leave. As I drove down the long dead end road and then later down Chuckanut I realized that I didn't pass any Roofing trucks. This is the first I've heard from you since.

Your unprofessional behavior not only wasted my time and effort but now you attempt to affect my reputation as a professional in the industry. Based on who I spoke to on the phone I'm not shocked to discover that you're attempting to retaliate by leaving negative feedback on my website without even addressing the issue directly with me.

I reached out to a mutual acquaintance, and wasn't surprised to hear derogatory remarks about your character, which further validates my concerns about your professionalism. They said "You have to stand firm and don't trust that skinny F". You and I have never met but you must be skinny. I wondered why someone would go so far out of their way to mess up my day b ut if you hate Mexicans so much its not a stretch you'd hate people like me. Fly Guys Roofing was able to schedule us very quickly into their schedule and were flexible to find a nice sunny day to perform the work. They arrived on time and brought a big crew. They jumped right in and worked super fast, you could tell they are a well oiled machine. They kept the mess under control and got our house and shed roof fixed up and completely reroofed in just one day. Solid work, would highly recommend.

The Clubhouse of the Orcas Island Golf Course was built in the 1890s we have been needing to reroof it for a few years but worried about the time it would take to do it and the cost. Fly Guys got it done in one day! Removing the old roof adding plywood and the new roof then cleaned up and out of there by 2pm! Hard working guys and everyone knows their part, and at a good price.

We had a fire and firefighters cut two large holes in our roof (2' x 4' each). Fly Guys quickly responded and provided a more-than-fair estimate, which we accepted immediately. In less than 48 hours our roof was professionally repaired, relieving a ton of stress. We have a new roof! Fly Guys arrived at 8 a.m., here on San Juan Island and completed the work a little after 5 p.m. Not only was the work first rate, no corners cut, but they left the landscape and deck even more pristine than before. They even roofed the well house and repaired a tricky down spout. And they were cheerful and accommodating throughout. A big tip of the hat to Austin, Leah, Luis and all the folks of this young company. The only little being who was not very happy with the work was Iris. “No banging please.” We took a lot of walks.

Fly Guys did our roof in San Juan Island. It it difficult to find roofers on the island, so when I found that Fly Guys will come to the island, that was great. They showed up when they were supposed to and our job was pretty big as our roof is original and had lots of rotting along the edges. The owner himself was on the job and answered all our questions in advance which was great.
Fly Guys took care of replacing all the rotted wood and our roof looks great and now I am no longer worried about any leaking. They got us on the schedule quickly and cleaned up the job very well. Thanks Fly Guys.

Asked for an inspection due to a small leak in the roof ridge. They came out quickly, wrote up repair quote the next day, along with a reasonable price for a whole new roof as an option. Agreed on doing the repairs Monday and they had everything done Tuesday afternoon.

It started with a sense of dread finding a long piece of metal that had blown off the roof of my old house and was laying in the garden.

I have a house that is 76 years old that my Dad built when he returned from WWII. I was born and raised in the house and bought it from my siblings when my Mom passed in 2008. I lived in San Juan County for over 30 years and when I moved back to the house last year, I found that everything needed replacement and repair. I was told I might get one more year out of the roof that was already 20 years old.

When I saw that strip had blown off, I thought, I guess I will just Google roofing contractors to see what is out there. Fly Guys Roofing caught my eye because I had noticed the company working in San Juan County. When I read a great review from someone I knew on San Juan Island I knew I had to inquire. I completed the questionnaire on line and thought, I hope I hear something before winter sets in. Remarkably, 2 hrs later I got a call from Austin. I had a bunch of what if questions and he patiently answered them all. He offered me the several options for roofing repair and replacement and explained what each option entailed. He offered to send one of his staff out the next day. I was amazed at the responsiveness. Today, (the next day), a guy came out while I was at work and completely replaced the shingles on the ridge top. I had never seen the extent of what was needed on the roof, so getting before and after pictures of the situation was especially validating. I was able to see what was needed and agree to have the work done in real time while I was at work. Yes, it needed repair and in a matter of a few hours the whole ridge top was re-shingled. Yes, a new roof will be required but I got a sense of security knowing that the roof will hold over this winter with no serious problems.

Fly Guys management, administrative support and especially the technican staff up on the roof are a team of professionals. The customer service is excellent. If you want help with roof advice, repair or replacement, I highly recommend this remarkable company.

I will have peace of mind this winter while planning and saving for the roof replacement. I look forward to working with this roofing company for a complete roof replacement appropriate for my old family home in the future.

Well, now that its finally rained a few inches in Bellingham, I can write this review for Fly Guys. My roof is 100% water tight with no issues and looks absolutely fantastic. We had Ben and his crew do a complete tear off and install a new roof at the very end of August. The crew was fantastic and left without a trace of them having been there for two days. They additionally addressed a dead valley in my roof by installing a raised hip for better drainage which works flawlessly. Communication was always prompt and effective. I would 100% recommend this outfit for any roofing needs. We could not be happier with the quality, value, speed, and workmanship.

The roofing estimator, Ben, provided helpful information about the project, worked to keep the final invoice on budget, and exhibited a professional, friendly attitude. The roofing crew showed up earlier than expected and got the job done faster than anticipated. It was amazing to watch the crew as they worked like a machine plus did a great job of cleanup. Our new roof and gutters look great and fixed a number of issues we previously had during heavy rains!

These guys were the affordable choice I found. They were extremely knowledgeable in what we needed for a roof in the pacific northwest rain and wind, especially in Ferndale out in the county where we can get some pretty good wind. They answered all of our questions and gave us options. I was able to walk through my contract and the warranty and have my questions answered. The install was quick and easy. Our siding is breaking off too in some parts already, and when a small piece broke off while they were working, they fixed it! They were extremely friendly.

When they were installing, one area of the roof that was not visible from the ground, they recommended roofing it different. They asked us, explained the pros and cons, and continued. No change to our bid either.

Would highly recommend.

We had storm damage to our roof that lead to a lot of water coming in to the house from multiple places. We called every roofer in the area. Most would not even come out to us, those that did said they could not help until Spring/Summer. As we are in rainy season and there is water coming in and damaging the house we were very distressed. Fly Guys came out and promised to adjust their schedule so that they could get the water to stop coming in our house. Efficient and Meticulous, these guys are incredible . They redid my forty year old, multi-level green roof, replaced the membrane and replaced the soil, in only a few days, and did a beautiful job.

The Fly Guys guys tore off many layers of old shingles and shakes, re-sheeted the house and garage with new plywood and laid down new protection and new shingles. There were tricky bits where the peaked roof over the back door meets the roof over the kitchen and where the main house roof connects to the roof over an addition. The Fly Guys guys worked incredibly hard, knew their job, and did it extremely well. They were friendly and communicative especially about the places that needed extra work. The new roofs over the house and garage are gorgeous! And - they left the place spotless. I highly recommend Fly Guys to everyone.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this one is well deserved. Steve, the GM came out to inspect some storm damage. Called several contractors, he was the only one that actually got on the roof and looked at the damage. He worked diligently with my insurance company to help negotiate a fair settlement. Ended up hiring them to replace the entire roof. Fast, efficient and at a very competitive price. They did a fantastic job including the clean up. I highly recommend them.

I was let down by other roofers in the area, and was suggested to try FLY GUYS ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION. WOW THANK YOU FLY GUYS!!!

FLY GUYS were AMAZING. The project was a very complicated repair of a mobile doublewide and garage with many rotten beams, plywood, and end soffits beyond salvage from year of leaks and neglect from previous rental ownership.
Fly Guys absolutely dominated the Complete roof replacement job over 1.5 days on the weekend. It was like pure orchestrated chaos, where everyone knew exactly what they were supposed to do, with zero messing around in between. They must have had at least 15 hard working dudes working that roof over.
I expected the chance of a messy aftermath from the quick work of putting up the roof, but in the end I found it difficult to find any scrap of evidence that they had been there, other than a perfectly installed new roof, soffets, and gutters.
They even took the time to paint all the parts they replaced, as well as helped fix a few other items that were not exactly in the quote, but since they guys were there they graciously helped to take care of it.

The final review is: They were super responsive and solid all the way through, the repairs went amazingly fast, and the quality of installation and follow through was superb. The price was below what many others were quoting me, and If I had to do it again I would absolutely without hesitation use FLY GUYS ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION again.

Fly Guys cleaned my neighbors roof. They did an amazing job. It was quite a project. So when they came by to introduce themselves, I knew we'd use them when the time came. I left a message and my call was quickly returned by Steve with a quote. I'll cut to the chase and say it was VERY worth it. The work that Matt did on the roof puts any work we've done on the roof in the past to shame. Worth every penny. Great Value. Amazing Work. I can't say it enough. I highly recommend. The roof has never looked so good. When we need a new roof, I will certainly be calling.

For those who don’t have time to read the whole review, let me say this:
If you are contemplating roofing, you need to call these guys. Bringing together so many important elements in completing their work – expert professionalism, safety, seemingly endless energy to do an enormously physical job, attention to detail, thoroughly committed to caring for the customer, courteous, knowledgeable, informative. . . they just might be the finest roofing company in the business. And, they enjoy what they do! Each and every worker! What I witnessed with our job was nothing short of astounding. They’re competitive, and they take the job of roofing to an art form. So do yourself a favor, and let them show you what they can do. They certainly delivered for us!

That said, it’s a privilege to offer FLY GUYS this recommendation with confidence!

Now for the rest of the story. . .

Very recently – OCT of this year – it became clear that the roof on the church was failing, years ahead of schedule. Having met a FLY GUYS representative in my neighborhood during the Spring of this year, I remembered them as I was left with a very good impression. So, I sought them out. The job was big – roughly 21,000 square feet.

The owner – Austin Reese – along with his general manager and his project manager, all came out to inspect the roof. We talked at length about the necessary aspects of how they proposed to handle such a large-scale project. With daylight hours growing shorter, and the chance for good stretches of weather becoming less likely, they proposed bringing a large crew that would complete the entire job in three days.

They checked the weather against the time when a crew this large could be assembled. The weekend of DEC 4-6 was chosen. All the materials were delivered on time on THU evening with work set to begin on FRI. They planned their work in sections only large enough to be completed during the hours of light that they would have each day. The last section worked each day would be blended into the remainder of the old roof so that no wooden parts of the roof were exposed to the elements overnight.

So as promised, a crew of 16 men showed up on FRI morning and began work just after sunrise. They secured the grounds for the safety of those entering/exiting the church, and the process began. The roofed was stripped of old shingles and tar paper, all existing nails were checked for security or replaced, areas of wood sheathing that had become compromised were replaced, and structural repairs were made where necessary. The underlayment was put down, and the valleys were meticulously addressed with amazing precision. Then the shingles were nailed down – and all by hand, no less. The work continued until just before dark.

At the end of the day, the crew set up for the next day, and cleaned the job site.

On SAT, the same process played out with the same stunning results. There was a crew of 28 men working in orchestrated unison. Then on SUN, the same thing again. A crew of 22 began working promptly after sunrise. The FLY GUYS crew worked tirelessly each day, staying out of each other’s way, yet ready to lend a hand to a fellow roofer when needed. At times, they were even jovial with each other, but safety was never compromised. And at the end of the day, these guys seemed to be working with the same energy level as when they started. Even though their work progressed at an amazingly fast pace, quality was their first priority – and it showed.

In the end, 21,000 square feet of roofing was masterfully replaced. From about 7:30 am on FRI to 1:00 pm on SUN – about 25 total working hours. What a magnificent feat!

Fly Guys replaced my shingle roof with a beautifu,l new, forest green metal roof. They provided a timely response to my request for a quote. Once deciding to have them do the work, they were efficient in doing the measure, ordering the product and having it delivered and installed. The installers were on time and kept the work site tidy. Fly Guys (Steve and his crew) re-roofed a house we recently purchased that had a badly deteriorated over the last 10 years. They were very efficient and professional and have allowed us to save a well built house that was headed to the landfill without their work! We would highly recommend them!

We bought a starter home in Sudden Valley last year and knew the roof was going to need to be replaced as soon as possible. Ryan and Nate were in the neighborhood and after a brief conversation with my wife in the driveway took a look to indeed confirm we should replace the roof as soon as we could if possible. They were kind and understanding of what a financial lift a new roof can be, especially this year, and were never pushy in trying to secure the sale. About two weeks later a team of maybe 7 arrived bright and early during a weather window on a Saturday and cranked out the whole re-roofing process by 2pm. The entire process was quick, professional and their quote was right on the money [literally]. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of home repair!

Roof work is great. We had two of our home’s buildings reroofed. Owner is extremely professional and has a crack team. They were incredibly efficient and did great work. I’d use them again for any future work for sure.

I'm working on a remodel and second floor addition was a diy project. Due to this summer's weather I could see the winter approaching fast without a roof to protect it. I called flyguysconstruction.

They fit me into their schedule, and after I completed some framing details they arrived with crew and completed the roof sheathing and membrane in one day. After measurements and ordering metal they arrived with crew and completed the metal roof in a day and half.
No more Losing sleep over this, no leaks, no tarps to rattle. They did a beautiful job, the standing seam snap loc looks great. Not only doing a nice job, these guys are quick.
I certainty would like to use their services again and would recommend them to anyone.

Wow-Great Job! Fly Guys (Ryan) stopped by our house while in the neighborhood and asked if we wanted a quote to pressure wash the siding and roof. We added on painting (!) and had a very reasonable estimate that very evening. From that to crew showing up was a mere week. And then the crews flew: Matt practically danced around the roof, Daniel was the painting perfectionist, along with Curtis, Johnny, Gio, Fernando and Leon. These young men are professional, courteous and hard workers. The General Manager, Steve, and Ryan, both took the time to stop by to make sure all was well. Everything was tidied up and back to normal when they left. We could not have asked for a more competent crew and attentive management, all at a competitive price. I had someone else do a roof and they didn't do it correctly. It leaked in the last rain. Fly Guys was the only company who came and helped me. I would recommend them over and over again. Austin was professional and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about how good the experience of working with him has been. Austin and Steve were prompt in coming to our property on SJ Island to provide a roofing bid. Within a few days after bid acceptance they brought a large, skilled crew to tear off and replace with our old 3 tab with nice new 35yr 3 tab. The crew was professional and courteous and the 2100sqft job was done in about 5 hours! They left the job site in clean condition and would use them again and highly recommend Fly Guys for all your roofing needs! Very reliable and easy to work with.

Our house has not been stained since it was built 20 years ago. Ryan met with us, did a walk-around the house, explained the various types of stains, He products they used, made a few recommendations, and gave us a very fair estimate. He power-sprayed the house and the next day brought his team to begin the caulking, sanding, taping and staining. The Fly Guys are hard working, courteous, tidy, and professional: they strove to complete the job without disrupting shrubbery, flowers, vehicles, and least of all us!
