I had my roof replaced by North Idaho Exteriors at the beginning of November 2024. This included the roof, flashing, chimney removal, waterproofing extrusions and replacement of some bad plywood. Jim helped me through the process of planning the job, picking material, color and scheduling the work. He did a fantastic job communicating with me, gave me regular updates and made sure my project was completed on time. Sam and his crew installed the roof, they did a stellar job and worked super hard from start to finish each day. They were friendly, efficient and through! Jim, Sam and the crew exceeded my expectations! I shopped around before choosing this company. Their competitive price, project scheduling, days for completion and communication set them apart form their competitors. I am very happy with the work they did and highly recommend them.

They have a great crew. Mine was a pretty simple roof,but they hit it at 0800 and we're finishing up and cleaning up by 1600. They are clean, efficient and very informative throughout the whole process. They are reasonably priced and affordable. I highly recommend these guys for any of your Roofing needs.

I worked with North Idaho Exteriors for an insurance claim for a roof on our 26 Unit Apartment Building in Spokane. The company was very professional and put together a whole quote and worked with my insurance company to get our claim approved. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately we did not work with them for the roof because of negotiations during sale of the property. However, judging by the knowledge during the quote and claim process, I have no doubt that they would do an amazing job! Thanks for your help with our project!

We hired Jim to examine our roof after a buyers inspector suggested it need a $50,000 price drop because our roof was compromised and needed immediate renovation. We brought North Idaho Exteriors in to give us a thorough examination of the roof, which placed us in a better position. They were professional, well credentialed and honest. We were left with no doubt about their opinion!

North Idaho Exteriors put a brand new metal roof on for us in Sandpoint which leaked profusely after the first rain. We immediately called Jim, who informed us he had been fired and gave us the owner's phone number directly who lives in California part time. He said he would call us back with a time that he could get out there to fix it and blamed everything on Jim. Sadly the owner never called us back so we kept calling back to see when someone could come since our entire ceiling was dripping water. But instead he blocked our phone number. We didn't know what to do so we hired another local roofing company who showed us that North Idaho Exteriors didn't even tighten most of their 5/16 roofing screws and the washers were not touch the metal hence all the screw heads leaking. They also missed an entire side of screws on the ridge cap which blew up and took on water. Mistakes happen in construction, we just expected them to fix it honestly and deal with it directly instead of block our number. In half a century of dealing with contracts this was a first. We were completely screwed and needed a full roof replacement by another company that was great. Beware of all of their fake reviews and talk to actual customers for their reputation. PS They've changed their business name multiple times and used to be "North Idaho Roofing."

The whole city of Liberty Lake and the areas beyond experienced a major hail storm event in the summer of 2022. Everyone was clamoring to get roofs, gutters, windows, and siding replaced on their houses.
I contracted with North Idaho Exteriors to replace the siding and couldn’t have been more pleased. The company is so easy to work with and the job looked great when it was finished.
If I had known then what I know now, I would have signed with North Idaho to do my roof and gutters, too. Insurance claims are extremely complicated, and when the work is parceled out, it becomes even more so. North Idaho does great work, and takes the worry out.

I cannot say enough good things about north Idaho exteriors! We were in a real bind new years holiday as one of our roof vent covers came off the roof and there was rain predicted later that day. We tried calling multiple roofing companies, even many with after hour emergency lines, and couldn’t find anyone to come and fix the issue for us. We found the number for north Idaho exteriors and the owner answered right away. He was out of town on holiday but contacted one of his workers who arrived and fixed the issue within an hour. We were amazed and highly recommend them!

We had a great experience when repairing a small leak in our roof. Jim came out and gave us a very quick and accurate estimate, and it was quickly fixed. We would work with them again for sure. Jim's communication was top notch, especially compared to the many contractors/home improvement professionals we have dealt with in the area.

The owner, Chris, and his nephew were wonderful to work with! Scheduling was really easy. When Don showed up with his crew they were very polite and super fast. They cleaned up at the end of every day and the work that they did was above and beyond what we expected. Even with material delays, any time we got even the smallest amount of material there were workers on site to get any portion of the project done. We have already recommended them to friends and family, and would recommend them to anyone looking to get siding or roofing done.

I talked to Chris the morning after a severe wind storm had blown two attic vents and a lot of shingles off my house. He was able to stop by less than 2 hours later to give me a quote when most other companies hadn’t even called me back yet. They were very busy due to the storm but was able to get someone back to my house later that day to complete all the repairs before the next storm hit 24 hours later. Repairs look great and they cleaned up all the broken shingles before finishing.

Extremely helpful in navigating the hail damage insurance claim process. All work was started and completed according to the agreed schedule and price. Workmanship was second to none. Communication with Chris was great, quick response to questions. Recommended North Idaho Exteriors to friends and many neighbors all of whom were as pleased as me.

I hired North Idaho Exteriors after reading the reviews. I had a previous estimate by a prominent 5 star competitor that showed up with no ladder and cowboy boots to inspect my roof. I worked with Jim Low at North Idaho Exteriors to inspect and evaluate. He was very honest and said it was nearing end of life but could wait a few years. Maintenance being cheaper than repair I decided to have them proceed with replacing a 20 year old roof. The job was done in a day and the roof looks great. I had the facia boards repainted before the tear off and they did an excellent job at not damaging the paint while tearing off and replacing the flashing. Jim really went above and beyond helping me with an additional project not related to the re-roofing but attached to the roof. He showed up reliably on time every time and did exactly what he said he would. Spending 25 years in the customer service business this company nails it, no pun intended.

I refer my insurance roof claims to Chris. He is always quick to get them a bid and does great work. Very friendly and my clients love working with him!

We had a hard time finding someone to repair our roof after tree damage until we found this company. They stuck to their word about timing, price and efficiency. Their workers were polite and cleaned up everything after each day. Highly recommend from a guy that works construction everday.

I purchased a new house that had two different colors of shingles on it, due to a manufacturing problem. They came out and removed a few shingles for me so I could send them to the company to be analyzed. Not only did they provide quick service, they refused to charge me. I'm not sure l have anything to add. They were
about 2 months behind according to Will, but when they called to say roofing supplies would arrive on Friday, they did. They finished the roof basically in 2 days and we're back this a.m. to finish up with the vents. The roofers were polite and good workers. One
even took views of my roof from the air and shared them with me. Each day they cleaned up their scattered debris and today they even swept the walkway.
Chris and Austin stopped by today to see if l was happy with the new roof. Add me to the list of satisfied customers.

THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING!! They replaced my roof on the hottest day of the year when it was 109º F out and it looks amazing! They were fast, efficient, and cleaned up so that I didn't even know they were there. At the beginning of the process, they worked directly with my insurance to help me through the process. We have owned a duplex in CDA for about 15 years that has always needed a new roof. We finally had a good set of tenants on both sides with steady income coming in. It was time to replace the roof that was perilously old after a large windstorm blew off a patch of shingles.
Our contractor put in a huge bid, hoping that our insurance company would simply write them a check. Didn't happen. I did an extensive review of roofers in the area and settled on North Idaho Exteriors and one other. Both jumped off of the page.
I had solid bids fairly quickly from both companies. Chris Haley reached out to me and sent me all of the information. Chris noted to me that they couldn't get started on it for 3 months but would send a crew out to cover up and patch the exposed area of the roof. A huge help!
Wil McGuire called me and let me know that they were going to knock out the roof the next day. I was impressed that they were able to finish the whole project in a day. It makes it much nicer for the tenants. Wil kept me informed of the progress throughout the day with copious photos, videos, and explanations. Sadly, all of our plywood sheeting needed to be replaced as it was very soft and rotting out. There was also a ceiling joist that was in need of repair.
The whole tear down and installation was finished within the day. The only downside was the extra cost of the plywood (which I had anticipated). Chris helped me out and matched the other bid that I had received to help soften the blow of the additional cost.
The communication process has been amazing. Chris and I have had many very nice conversations (talking about baseball and our kids). Makes it nice when you have a personal connection in addition to the business transaction.

I called Chris at 2:30pm in a panic looking for an inspection that was due by 5pm that same day. We had another roofer flake on us that was supposed to show that morning. Chris happened to be close to our home and was literally there in 15 minutes and I had the inspection back shortly after. I called 5 other companies and not one answered. After obtaining 4 different quotes, I opted to have North Idaho roofing replace our church roof. I had already done my homework and knew this was a company with very good reviews. Not only were we provided with a clear and detailed estimate, Chris, the owner, worked closely with our insurance company to provide a detailed wind mitigation inspection for our insurance company and worked closely with the adjuster. Communication was easy and professional at all levels. The job foreman was communicative and informative. We were especially impressed with the daily cleanup around the house – care was taken to remove nails and other materials that fell during the removal and installation process. When the job was done the rain gutters were cleaned out, the entire premises were once again scouted for debris. From the day I called during the windstorm with a tree on our house Chris (the owner) was very helpful. He let us know he specialized in insurance claims but with just googling I was still skeptical... little did I know he truly did specialize in insurance Claims while also being professional, informational, reasonable and didn’t hesitate whenever questions came up. There was a lot of roof and personal property damage in the neighborhood and around the area from the last wind storm. A lot of folks in need of help and repairs. Will and Sammy were able to fit us into their crazy schedule and repair a couple of sections of roofing that would have otherwise turned into a major problem.

This company is AMAZING!! The Estimator/Project Manager Jim returns calls and emails quickly. He provided input and guidance on they type of room and materials needed, he didn't just try to up-sell me. The work crew was great, and they had a great deal of attention to detail. I had a separate project going on, so the crew had to come back on a different day and finish a small porch roof, they had no issue with this and fit that small roof into their schedule allowing me to finish my project. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for replacing your roof.

I had mold in my attic from a previous bad installation of my roof and vents. I contacted this company and they were always very professional and communicated with me very well. They replaced the plywood and all the odds and ends that go with repairing a roof. I can’t rate them on great value because it was my first roof repair I have ever had, but I will say the final price to me seemed to be fair and around what I expected. They all had great attitudes, workmanship, and work ethics. Definitely will use them again and plan on contacting them next year for my siding. I would recommend this company to anyone I know. I worked directly with Chris Haley (Owner) and Jimm Ferriby (Field Superintendent) I had just purchased a home and was in need of a new roof, Chris was easy to work with and worked with me on reaching an agreeable price. I was told it was going to be approximately 30 days before they could do the job but they would keep me updated with dates. I was pleasantly surprised when Chris/Jimm called and stated they could get to my roof within a couple of days. They started on a Friday morning and finished on Sunday. Our entire experience with North Idaho Exteriors was exceptional. We recently replaced the trusses on a house and needed help decking and roofing. We were unsure of the date the trusses would be set and ready but NIE worked with our ever changing timeline and sent an extremely professional team to do the work. The crew was exceptional, as a contractor and property manager I work with and around many construction professionals and these guys were A+ and one of the fastest, hardest working, and most respectful crews I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. I spoke to Jimm last fall and he gave me a bid that was significantly lower than any other bid I had received. He probably stopped by two or three times since then to get our color and to explain the process. He called a week in advance and gave us the start time. The crew showed up and did an incredible job and fast. They Completed my house in one day. I don’t know if that’s typical but the crew does not shortcut on anything because of the companies 15 year warranty for the roof, and 30 years for the shingles.

Hello, I don't usually give review's but I just had to share my experience. Chris and Jim were awesome, I had a tree fall on my roof in the recent wind storm in Post Falls ID. I called them and they helped same day and got the roof buttoned up so no more damage would take place. Jim worked with the insurance adjuster and and made things happen. I could not be more pleased with my experience. I will update when all is fixed and post some pictures. I truly recommend them!!!
