Kirkness Roofing did a great job on my roof. They showed up at the scheduled time and wasted no time getting the job done. They also did a very good job cleaning the mess up when they were finished. I am very happy with the job they did and I highly recommend this business.

My moms roof needed replaced BADLY. She wasn’t able to get homeowners insurance because of the condition the roof was in and has been there for just over 3 years. It got even worse with the recent hail/wind storm that came through. Kirkness stopped to look at it and they patched up a couple spots. Shortly after, they called and offered an awesome deal to help her replace the roof! We thought it could potentially be a scam or there had to be some sort of catch but nope! They were there early yesterday morning and were done in the afternoon. They left no mess behind & we no longer have to worry about how long the roof is going to last. Our minds and hearts were blown away by the amount of kindness we received from Kirkness & we will definitely be returning customers for any future needs! Thank you SO much!

I had a concern about my roof, so I called Kirkness Roofing who had installed it back in 2014. Andy and his son came out the very next day and gave me a free follow up inspection. I noticed a stain and a crack in the living room ceiling earlier in the week and knew I needed to find someone local who could diagnose the issue and make the repairs necessary. I called Kirkness Roofing on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Andrew, the General Manager came out. I showed him the stain and crack in the ceiling and he quickly found the problem. A rubber boot had split around an HVAC pipe and he was able to fix it right there on the spot. Andrew is one of the nicest people you’ll ever encounter and knows the business. I’m grateful I called him, and I know you will be too.

Kirkness is my roofing company of choice. Emergency repairs, steep roofs, metal, membrane. The work is always perfect and done in a timely manner. I don't know what I'd do without them. They make my job easier and that is everything a building manager needs.

During a recent windstorm, part of our roof cap tore off exposing the open area which could allow the environment to gain entry. We contacted our insurance agent and a claim process was initiated. Expecting to be under warranty from the prior installer, they came out and said the entire roof needed to be repaired. We again contacted our insurance agent as this seemed to be pretty extreme.

I was then speaking with a friend, and he said maybe get a second opinion to verify the findings of the previous install company. I did and Kirkness was suggested by a couple of people.

Andrew and Zach came out and looked over the roof. There was moderate damage except for the area of wind damage. They did not think a full replacement was the best path to take and suggested repairing the small damage area thus saving us the cost of our deductible.

They returned the following day, made the repair and you can't tell there was any damage. I missed them before they left and when we called Andrew for costs, he said don't worry about it, materials were minimal, and the 40 minutes was a way of saying thanks for calling us to provide service.

This will go a long way if and when I need further assistance with any of my roofing needs. Truly service excellence demonstrated by Andrew, Zach and Kirkness roofing.

Top notch service and delivery. My roof was leaking in several spots and we needed a new one before the winter. It was a small project on a double wide trailer but instead of pushing us off like most other roofing companies, these guys made us a priority and got the roof done before the snow fell. I called Kirkness after realizing our roof was leaking when it rained, into the house. I've never had to deal with such an issue, and am not well educated on roofing. Rob came out on time, which was a HUGE help because I only had limited time due to my work schedule to meet with someone at the home. He was kind, considerate, educational and even went the extra mile to caulk/seal some areas of our roof that had flexed due to the age of the home, to see if that would stop the leaking at no charge. I was skeptical, but it stopped the leak and this was after a previous company came out and tried to convince us to submit an insurance claim and replace the roof.

Rob saved us time, money, and from the fear of having a really awful spring. It's rained a few times since and not a drop. Thank you Kirkness for being there quickly and not taking advantage! We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Rob Horton was simply outstanding. Very personable and knowledgeable. Had a small leak around the flashing on my chimney that was coming in the house. Probably could have sealed it myself but at my age the wife, my best friend, does not want me on the roof.
Well Rob climbed up and checked my roof saying it was in good shape and sealed off the chimney and another area on the back of the house.
Then followed up after the last rain to check if it was sealed good.

I ever need more roofing help I will only call Kirkness and Rob Horton.

Andy was incredibly easy to work with. He is experienced and educated in roofing and insurance and the ONLY person we have ever dealt with that was able to educate and teach, hands-on with our insurance company’s contracted appraisers of the roof/window/door damage. Andy was able with patience and determination to get us the MAXIMUM reimbursement for our property damage due to a major hailstorm. YOU would be the fortunate one, if Andy is able to handle your property damages and insurance claim.

My mother had a complete roof replacement. Nothing but problems from the second day. The first day was the consultation....
My Mom specifically asked for a local company to work on the roof, with an all English speaking crew. She was assured that there would be no problem. Start day, not one person on the crew was able to speak english.
The gutters were replaced with a wave of a gutter. With not a straight line anywhere.
The chimney for the heater was loose and leaked in the kitchen all over the stove and wasn't even attached to the roof, and it shifted in the wind daily.
Items were stolen from the property.
Highly do not recommend this company unless you want to deal with endless repairs right after and thieves on the property. Definitely do not hire them from the Home Improvement Show. It happened in 2022. This is the company that did the job. I'm not mistaking the name.

Recently I had a project that needed fixing on my roof. I was lead to Robert who was working on a project in my neighborhood. He immediately assessed the problem and was able to fix it in short period of time. I called Kirkness Roofing for a roof leak I was having during torrential downpours. They arrived promptly for a free estimate. I met with Mason who was very kind and thorough. He explained what he thought the issue was and answered any questions. He applied some adhesive and caulk free of charge and told me to call him if the leak came back. If the leak came back, at that time we could discuss more invasive options. This is standup service. I met with another roofing contractor the week prior who tried to sell me on a whole new roof and/or $700 temporary fix.

They came out the next day after noticing leaks in the roof and came up with a plan to address the issues. The prompt attention was much appreciated!

Best Construction Contractors I’ve Ever Dealt With

Kirkness Roofing put a metal roof on our house after a hailstorm. Yes, it’s beautiful. We get lots of compliments on it. Plus, there was zero hassle dealing with them. Zero. From start to finish, it went smoothly. The initial sales, estimates, explanations of choices were simple and clear. The crew and their foreman were skilled and answered all my questions. The office staff were similarly responsive, clear and prompt. And finally, the final inspection was detailed, caring, and even provided a great recommendation for the next project, replacing windows wrecked in the same hailstorm. We’re using the firm recommended.

When I was young, my Dad ran a construction company, 1960’s and 70’s. I loved going to job sites with him. I’m no expert, but I’ve done a lot of remodeling since then. When I couldn’t handle something, I’ve hired a number of contractors over the years. It has never gone this well. Why not? They all express caring, but that’s not enough.

While extensive repairs are needed, he was kind enough to go up and seal it the best he could, to buy us a little time to organize finances. Grand Avenue Animal Hospital (my place of employment) had a roof leak after a very heavy rain. I immediately called Kirkness roofing. Mason was very quick to respond, which I was surprised, not only was it a holiday weekend but I'm sure there were several leaks happening around town after the amount of rain we just had. When Mason arrived he was extremely pleasant to talk too and was able to get the job fixed in such a short time, I was once again shocked..in a good way.. He was able to take a look at the rest of the roof and show me some potential issues that could come up in the future, just to prepare us. We will definitely be using Kirkness Roofing in the future.

I called with a very interesting problem during our last huge rainstorm. Water was coming through our smoke detectors. From the the receptionist who called to ask the hard questions, she quickly called the boss to get answers and returned my call within minutes. The very next day Mason came out and was super! He was very knowledgeable, professional and kind! He educated us on some of our issues and had a quick fix as well as a quote for a complete repair within a few minutes at our house. After reviewing the quotes of 5 different contractors, I chose Kirkness Roofing. While they were not the cheapest (~within $500 of the lowest quote), their contract was clear, their customer service impressive (brought color samples to my house for review), and I knew others who had positive experiences with them. I was not disappointed with my choice. From start to finish, they were excellent. Completed the job in a single day, left my place clean, and followed up with a post installation inspection/walkdown to address any concerns I had. While the concerns I did have were minor, they addressed them quickly and without hesitation. I highly recommend them!

We had Kirkness replace our roof about 18 months ago in Billings. Andy was professional, prompt, and very courteous. The whole process went extremely well. Later that year we moved to a new home Laurel, seller had a new roof put on by another roofer. We developed leaks and we called the roofer who stated that there was nothing wrong and it was just a bad rain and wind storm. We called Andy and he came out that day and determined that the previous roofer had not put in the flashing to prevent any leaks. Previous roofer denied until he came out and finally acknowledged that there was no flashing and then repaired the problem. 7 months later we developed another leak and the roofer claimed it was condensation from the bathroom fan. Called Andy again and he came out that day and stated the vents were not properly caulked. Got the problem fixed.

you contracted with me and advised me you would start in the spring. But you showed up unannounced with 2 crews ( no english) and slapped it on. The weather got cold the day you finished and the shingles never took a set. You have been out a few times with temporary fixes and advised me the shingles you used were troublesome and not quite to spec. You assured me that you would continue to warrant your work. Well, now I have discovered a major problem where the last addition connects to the original house. Bryant Roofing fixed it several years ago as snow piles up there and can get by the flashing. I had mentioned it to your sales person when we were negotiating price and schedules. Now I look up inside at the ceiling/wall joint, and the drywall is separating from the finish and tape is opening up. I cannot understand why an experienced company which I have used before, cannot correctly perform this work.

I was having an issue with my roof at my salon. I had hvac installed and I needed immediate attention to seal the roof around it. I called and a receptionist named Bonnie “I believe” and she helped me get everything in order. A tech for better words fixed everything. He was very nice, quick and professional. Discovered we had a leak in our roof around a vent pipe. We called the company that shingled our roof but they never returned our call. So we phoned Kirkness Roofing and the same day Robert returned our called. He came out the same day and checked our roof and repaired the leak. He also did some maintenance around all the vents so we wouldn’t have future problems.
All of this was done free of charge. Something not heard of these days. Kirkness is starting a maintenance program in the near future. I will be the first one to sign up. Robert was so friendly and helpful. We appreciate Kirkness Roofing.

Highly recommend this company. I called Andy and explained the situation after trying to go through another company .He came out the same day and fixed our roof at no cost. It has held up in the rainstorms that we have been having. We will be calling him in the spring to replace out whole roof. I had called a different company and they came and looked at the roof and then 2 days later gave us an estimate. He told us that we would hear from their scheduling people. We never did hear back from them. I had to call to find anything out. 3 weeks later, we were told that they thought it had been done. I was tired of the nonsense and unprofessionalism. Kirkness Roofing is awesome and you can’t go wrong with their honesty and integrity.

This is an amazing and honest company. We had a significant leak in our roof and we had another company come out and give us a bid and we never heard from them again. We had called several times and were told that they thought they had already fixed it. Three weeks later, still nothing. I called Andy at Kirkness and explained the situation and he came out the same day and fixed the leak and didn't charge us. Very honest company. We will be calling him in the spring to replace our whole roof. Highly recommend.

I expected it to be a couple days to reroof my house. But only took a couple hours. I was surprised, very fast, very good workers. Started in the morning, was finished by 1-2 pm same day. Then they sent a checker out a couple of days later to see if there was any problems or concerns. Very good company.

Kirkness Roofing provided the most detailed estimate for our project and matched that estimate, to the dollar, with the final price. Throughout the project, Kirkness staff was responsive and concerned to provide us, our renter, and our neighbors with the best possible service. In our experience, Kirkness is a class act.

I can't speak enough of Mason and Kirkness Roofing. Our roof leaked on Christmas Eve. (I temporarily patched it that day) They came out right after the holidays (180 mile round trip). Inspected the roof, found hail damage, and did a way better job in patching the roof to make it last till spring.
Then Mason came out again to meet my insurance adjuster face to face. Got everything squared away with the field adjuster. When I received my insurance's quote it did not matchup to Kirkness. Mason did all the work in dealing with my insurance and getting the roof replaced correctly. It was really refreshing with the customer service and the willingness to travel out of town. Not just once, but three times overall. I highly recommend everyone to use Kirkness Roofing!

Our rental property sustained some roof damage during a severe storm. Living in Columbus, it is difficult to locate roofers let alone on a timely basis. After unsuccessfully finding anyone locally, I noticed a Kirkness Roofing service truck in town. Thinking that they must travel to Columbus, I went to their website and was able to immediately chat with a representative. I was contacted via phone and within a couple days, I was called and an appointment to assess the damage was scheduled. Andrew (Andy) Carney contacted me the day of the appointment and met me at the rental property. He assessed the damage, performed a temporary fix to prevent any further leaking and let me know when he would be back to complete the repair. He was most professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Robert came and did a fix on my metal warehouse roof, and since he recommended the true fix was total replacement and he couldn't be sure my leaks would be stopped completely, didn't charge at all for the service. I'll call them to replace it next year for sure.

Kirkness Roofing came out this morning to look at our roof to see if the shingles need replacing. They were on time and very professional. After they looked at everything, they went through all the pictures they took and let me know what damage they saw or didn't see and any effect the damage did or didn't have on the function of the roof, soffit, and gutters. They were very upfront and honest in letting me know that at this time, they wouldn't replace the roof. I appreciate their honesty and will definitely use them when it comes time to replace our roof.

I could not be happier with my experience with Kirkness Roofing. I had been putting off having my roof replaced for way too long, so was a bit apprehensive. My salesman Jerome was very professional. He arranged for the crew to arrive on a day in early May when there was a break in the weather. The crew arrived early, worked all day, and to my amazement got the entire job completed in one day! I would like to thank Jerome from Kirkness Roofing for coming out to inspect my roof-He was very professional. He showed me the pictures of my roof and explained what he had found. He explained I had some wind damage on the shingles but no hail damage. My shingles are about 20 some years old but still good for a few years more. I also told Jerome I had a small leak in my garage by my chimney . Jerome went back on the roof to look at the flashing area and he told me there was some open breaks around the chimney. He said he could seal them for me at no charge so I said great. I can't say enough nice things about Kirkness! We discovered our roof was leaking and damaged the ceiling in our kitchen. I submitted a request for Kirkness to come take a look at our roof. Jerome came the same day to take a look. It was decided a new roof would be our best course of action. While Jerome was on site, he caulked an area of concern to help until the roof could be replaced. Communication was kept open through the entire process, the price was more than fair, and the roofing crew left with no trace (aside from the gorgeous new roof!). I will definitely call for any roofing needs in the future and I would 100% recommend them to anyone.

Jerome and his brother stopped by on 7/22/22 and gave us a free roof inspection. He found some hail damage from the July 5th storm we had here in Shepherd.
He was a very good salesman and told us all the options that were available to use and a time frame to work with. He even caulked around 2 of our sky
lights for free.
My wife and I are still mulling over if we want to do a roof job before hail season is over.

Jerome prompt and extremely helpful in preparing claim last October. When I had to move in April to another state, Kirkness moved up the replacement date to facilitate my move. They've been great (and a great job).
