I went with North Coast on a recommendation, and I am sure glad I did. They quickly responded with a scheduling call, explained their services, and got me booked. As planned on the date, the inspection went down and VERY quickly the next day I got the full report. There were some items I didn't understand, and I just wanted to hear the narrative, I emailed and asked if he could walk me through it. Within the hour he wrote back and we were on the phone, he helped explain everything and answer all my questions. Next day he texted with Radon test results. North Coast was awesome, did exactly what I was hoping more, and I'm leaving the experience a happy customer. I'd totally recommend them for home inspections.

Chris was very professional and friendly. Our home inspection occurred during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. He started the inspection outside and allowed us to go inside to view the property again. Once we were done he kindly asked that everyone else stayed outside so he could safely complete the inspection inside the home. We had a full report (pending water and air test results) the next morning. This is the kind of person you want to do your home inspection!

We highly recommend Chris Ross! He did a fantastic job inspecting our future home and took the time to talk with us about every little detail we had questions around. He arrived at the property an hour before us so he could do the exterior inspection (in 20-degree weather, no less) and had already given the septic tank a thorough review by the time we arrived. Chris then spent another two hours looking around the interior, checking every room's state. He even used a thermal camera to see where there may have been insulation issues. The incredibly specific report was made available to us within 24 hours and the results of the water test he performed for us came quickly after. Aside from his deep knowledge, diligence and professionalism, Chris is also just a great guy to talk to. He has a witty sense of humor and was able to convey the seriousness of some potential situations. He helped us feel really confident in our decision and even more excited to move in. I should also note that he knocked $50 off the cost of our inspection because we were first-time buyers! We would absolutely use him again and definitely refer our friends/family/neighbors to him. 10/10

The whole process was very professional, from start to finish! Chris was clear about what he would do and what my report would cover. He was punctual, pleasant, polite, and very knowledgeable. He climbed up on the roof and wriggled into the crawlspace. He even came back a few days later to reinspect parts of the roof that had been covered by snow on inspection day. I would recommend North Coast Home Inspection without reservation!

We worked with Chris for two home inspections and we were very happy with his work. Chris was thorough, knowledgable, and communicative, providing no-nonsense evaluation of the homes we looked at.

My wife and I met Chris (inspector) at property that we were looking at purchasing. He was already there and had even started inspection of exterior. He was cordial and informative. I followed him through house and he talked about what he was looking for in quality of building and craftsmanship of work done on home. He was very thorough in his inspection, even removing the electrical panel to look for post builder’s “add ons” that might not be up to code. He had some equipment with him to look behind walls (infrared scanner) for questionable abnormalities.
He also talked to me about what could be done going forward to minimize exposure to elements (home was near beach) such as exterior drip zone from rain water on exterior siding.

We had copy of his report via email within 24 hours.

I would highly recommend this company for overall professionalism and promptness.

Truly the best of the best. We used Chris for two home inspections. Chris was prompt, informative. His personality and work ethic is one of the best I have ever seen. Chris was early for the appointment, worked through everything, provided a great onsite summary of what he found, and provided us the full detailed report within 24 hours.

Chris picked up my first phone call and we had an appointment scheduled for less than 48 hours away. He was very informative throughout the process. The inspection was done Wednesday afternoon and the report was sent to me by 5:00AM the next morning. He was even quick to respond to any follow up questions I had after reviewing the report. Chris did an awesome job for us. He inspected 2 houses, the first house he caught a bunch of stuff we missed that would have cost us a bundle over time. He found a few minor details with the 2nd house but nothing that we couldn't workout. His reports are simple and to the point, easy for anyone to read.Very dependable, he shows up when he says he will and has the report to you when he promises it . Very easy to work with too, we were out of state and did it all via email. If we buy another house in Maine he will be our inspector.

Chris Ross is a superb home inspector who has done work for me in inspecting two different houses (one older, one newer). These inspections included tests for radon, private well water, and private septic systems. He did a perfectly detailed, thorough job and communicated clearly with me during the entire process -- not merely in pointing out problems and potential problems over time, but in giving very valuable tips in terms of home maintenance and preservation. I can not recommend him highly enough and I would not think of using anyone else as a home inspector in the future. He is also ideal in terms of prompt communication and follow through.
