MG General Construction Corp

We were referred to Marco at MG General Construction Corp by our general contractor who highly recommended him. We had a leak around our chimney which needed quick attention as it was ruining work we had done. Marco and Tom both arrived on time at 8am and quickly diagnosed the problem. The chimney needed a new cap and the flashing needed replacement. Marco showed me photos of the area and explained what the problems were and how they would recommend fixing them. He also photographed multiple places on the roof that had problems. Although the inspector we used when buying the house was confident we would get at least 10 more years out of the roof, it was evident that it needed replacement. I told Marco that he could price it out but I would need to think about it as no other spots were leaking. Despite very cold weather and snow squalls, his crew completed the flashing and cap replacement as promised. I received a very detailed quote from Marco to replace the roof and made a list of questions. He took the time to answer all of my questions and understood that I needed to get other prices due to the cost. Marco told me that they were not the least expensive or the more expensive but that his crew has been with him for many years and that they provide more protection from the weather than most roofers. I called a company that was about the same size as MG General Construction and they came out for a quote. They did not inspect the roof which was a concern. He took the need for a replacement as a given. I was told that I'd get their quote by email. Their quote initially looked lower but was based on a lower quality shingle with a note that to use the better shingle add in "x" amount. That seemed a little sneaky. When you added everything up, the two companies were close in price. Based on our very positive experience with the initial repair, the recommendation from our general contractor, and their competitive pricing, we moved forward with the roof replacement. They showed up on time, worked steadily, protected our decking and landscaping, kept me apprised of their progress, completed each stage timely, and did a great job. We had them replace skylights, add gutter guards, and include a copper feature, in addition to the roof. The new roof makes a huge difference in how the house presents and gives us the peace of mind that we shouldn't experience any more leaks. We wholeheartedly recommend Marco and MG General Construction.

We were very pleased with the work done by MG General Construction. They replaced the roof. Installed all new windows. Built a new front porch and stairs. Tore down the old back entryway and stairs and rebuilt it and added six more feet for a small deck. Their workers were professional and very polite and worked steady all day except to break for lunch. Marco was great to work with and followed through with any requests or concerns.

The entire experience with the MG team including Marco, Tom and Lee was superb. Neat, efficient, competitive, honest, personable and professional, sums it up.

Marco and MG Construction has always done a great job for me. They worked on my new home and then provided assistance with a secondary home as well. From roofing, windows, siding, decks...they do it all. Most importantly Marco is VERY responsive and will go the extra mile to ensure complete satisfaction. MG Construction will always be my first call whenever I have a project in the future. As a matter of fact, I am scheduling to have a deck built with them in the Spring.
