My new roof is amazing. The team did all the work in under a week. The crew even had a magnet bar to pick up any loose nails and scraps. My roof had a surprise shingle roof under the old one, which added to the labor some but the team handled the surprise and still got the roof done quick. I plan to hire NRV Roofing again when I build my garage.

They were busy and had a full schedule, but without hesitation they took me in and worked ceaselessly to get the job done quickly before the weather worsened. I had an emergency leak. They came right away and fixed it. Do yourself a favor and call these guys for help with your roof!

Took over 2 months to get gutters installed. Kept putting me off. Got estimate on roof replacement too and after the mess with gutter installation I got an estimate from Cenavar. Cenavar was exactly $1k cheaper using exact same materials. Overall experience was VERY frustrating and 3k for gutters for a 1200 sq. ft. house seems a little high to me. Was an easy install no high roof or weird angles. And, I was told they thought they did the estimate on wrong house because I wasn’t present in a text?? But, I was in a desperate situation and didn’t get 2nd estimate because I didn’t know they would drag it on and on. Nice folks though, they’re just either very unorganized with scheduling or have more work than they can handle. And, not sure I trust their pricing.

We shopped for a new roof. Ours was shot and leaking, especially around the chimney. After much investigation we chose NRV Roofing. They came in February during a break in the weather, stripped the old roof, repaired some problem areas, installed new flashing around the chimney, installed new bath exhaust vents, and installed the new roof and ridge vent. I waited until now to review just to see if there would be any issue. After much rain(over 24 inches, 5 in one 24 hr period) , wind, squalls and light hail, I have to say the roof is great! Wayne has a variety of crews each with very competent and conscientious members that know their job and get it done. They did a marvelous job and I highly recommend them.

Wayne came right out to give estimate and then provided a professional contract . My new roof looks so much better . HIs workmen are very hardworking. They also do an awesome job tidying up when they are done.

We got in touch with NRV Roofing after a storm came through and caused some damage to our home's roof. There was some more bad weather in the forecast and we were somewhat worried about water intrusion in the coming week, but fortunately for our peace of mind, Wayne had a couple of guys from one of his crews swing by just a day or two after we spoke to cover and secure the damaged areas which we really appreciated.

We have fairly complicated roof to re-shingle with 1:1 slopes on every face. NRV's price for the job was competitive with all of the other quotes we were considering but we felt confident selecting them after finding out they had installed some of our neighbors roofing that turned out really nice (and they hadn't lost shingles in the storms that got us).

The team of roofers that worked on our house were great. They were a very hard working crew that pushed through some of the hottest days of the year. I was impressed how neat they kept materials and equipment that was left overnight and how well they cleaned up at the end of each day. I really appreciated that after a particularly long day of work one of the workers took the time to gather up all the fine cinders that had fallen onto the stairs and landing during demolition at my below grade basement door. That area is a pain to clean, but if a lot of debris gets into the stairwell our drain can easily get covered or clogged causing our basement to flood.

Overall the folks at NRV roofing have been really easy to work with and we would recommend them to any of our neighbors in need of similar services.

NRV Roofing replaced roof shingles and made some sub-roof repairs on my house. Work was completed later than expected, but I think this was primarily due to weather delays. There was no manager on-site while the crew was there, but they worked hard and were respectful, etc. A second crew also replaced a chimney cap which looks very nice. This company offers a 15 year leak proof warranty which gives us peace of mind.

NRV Roofing has done work at my house a couple of times and both times have been highly satisfied with the quality of the work and their professionalism. Excellent experiences.

My experience with Wayne goes back about ten years when he came out to look at a metal barn roof that had been blown back in wind. He was honest and practical and willing, and helped us out for what was a small repair. And he gave me some good advice. In the last year or so we developed a leak in our home roof, traced to rotting wood around a dormer in a 25 yo house. I called two roofers, and Wayne gave me a good quote (the other guy told me last fall that he would give a quote in 3 months because prices might change). With Wayne, we decided on dormer repairs, new gutters and a new roof, and planned for a Feb 1 start date. Then the rains came. The dormer/gutter crew showed up as soon as there were 3 clear days in a row, worked diligently, did a great job, and then the roofers came. It's a complicated roof, but the crews were big, worked to a stop point every night that protected the house from any weather (sometimes not stopping until dark). Clean-up was super, everyone was friendly, and Wayne came when finished to make sure everything was good and we were happy. He saw something he didn't like, and sent a couple of guys back to sort that out. The roof was up for the most recent weeks of big storms and it is quieter and warmer in the house. We are so pleased. Worth every penny, and I don't think the price was unreasonable considering all the time and effort and changes accomplished.

I have used New River Valley Roofing and Sheet metal for the past year for roof repairs and gutter cleanings on my house. I'm impressed with their professionalism. The crew is excellent. Wayne the owner is very professional will review your needs and write up a proposal that is fair and affordable. Select the material and colors ( metal roofs also) you want to use to replace worn out and leaking roofs. Can repair leaks and provide roof maintenance . Be sure to give him a call. From my very first phone call until the completion of the job, Wayne answered all my questions, provided samples & quickly completed the quote. I really wanted to leave a 5-star review, but things happened that made that impossible.

The work they did on my house seems really excellent and they were fast and cleaned everything up. I had no complaints in the beginning.

Since then, I have needed them to do another two jobs, for which I was given an estimate, but they never have done the work. I have been trying to get them for months and although my emails are answered with a promise to get the work done, they never show up and never do the work.

I am sorry that this happened, but it has soured my experience with this company.

We love our house but the roof was showing its age and needed replacement.

The job was complicated by the fact that the decking was the original lath which had spaces between the boards. That is not a suitable base for a shingle roof. The house being an old Victorian, the job was further complicated by the roof’s many peaks and valleys.

We discussed our options with a number of roofing contractors and really got no good input until we met Wayne from New River Roofing. Wayne seemed more interested in finding out what we needed and making sure our goals were met rather than pushing a roofing job on us.

He answered all our questions, educated us on roofing specifics and gave us the confidence that they would do the job properly and to our satisfaction. His aid in choosing a suitable shingle style and color to complement the house was extremely helpful. This is one of the biggest single purchases one makes in a lifetime so it’s important to have a company and people who look out for you.

They did a complete tear-off down to the original lath and re-decked the roof to give it a solid base for the new shingles. The house is 115 years old so we ran into issues that may not be found on newer homes. As the job progressed, any problem discovered was pointed out, actions needed to correct were explained, and corrections were made before proceeding.

The roof looks better than expected and it makes our house look much better. The completed roof looked so good we decided that we should install new gutters and down spouts to complete the job.
New River Roofing also installed new seamless gutters, that job done to the same high standard they had done on the roof.

We bought a 2002 log home in 2018 and found out rather quickly that 1) the previous owners didn't maintain the home AT ALL, and 2) pretty much all the major things needed to be replaced. We live out in Craig County in no man's land, so to speak, so we couldn't even get roofing companies to come out and take a look, let alone give us a quote. When I called NRV, Wayne got in touch with us that week, came out the following week for an initial estimate, had his guys out to do measurements within 3 weeks, and we had a quote within days after that. They started mid-late July and finished up in September, even with the wrenches the house kept throwing at them - read: the entire upper part of the chimney was rotted and could be pulled apart barehanded. They rebuilt the chimney and lined up great stone guys, whom we will be calling back to redo the other stonework on the house. All in all, this was not a cheap job - it was expensive rebuilding our roof - but the value we received for the dollars paid is immeasurable. We paid for a good, solid, standing seam roof, and we definitely have that. We highly recommend the work these guys do.

We recently had NRV Roofing come out to re-roof our house and building. The crew did an excellent job with the roof and keep a clean job site over the few days they were onsite. Very happy with the results of the job.

He was not very much interested in working on my roof because i own a mobile home but said he would stop by anyway to look at it. He never did. I called back a week later and he never called me back. Totally ignored my message. He may be a good roofer but he was a lousy one to me and very disrespectful.

I contacted this business to get our roof replaced. We had storm damage to many parts of the roof due to two hurricanes high winds. At the request of the insurance adjuster I should have a roofer come out to see the roof with the adjuster. Called Nrv roofing to set up a time. The person answering wanted to know what I wanted. I explained the situation and about the insurance adjuster. His response was why do we need to be there. I explained his people might see something the adjuster might miss and vice versa. He seemed uninterested in doing the job. As frustrating as getting a roof done that’s not that old I basically told him you either want the work or you don’t I don’t have time for games with a leaking roof. I’ll call someone more professional

Wayne met us at home to begin our initial quote, dropped of shingle samples, and provided recommendations on what would look good on our home. I had a difficult time getting any company or any roofer to come and fix our roof this past summer, but New River Valley Roofing responded promptly and even though they were in a busy season, NRV Roofing gave me a realistic start date after coming out to evaluate the problem. They removed the shingles and flashing at the lower end of the valley area on the backside of the garage and installed new ice and water shield and flashing. I highly recommend this company!
