Mitch did a great job with two egress windows and some drywall patches. He made sure everything was done right. We're looking forward to having him back for the next project.

We reached out to Mitch, asking for carpet installation, as most of the stores in Sioux Falls wanted us to buy carpet from them in order to have our carpet installed.
Mitch doesn't do carpet installation. However, he was so kind i'm providing with contact informations for carpet installers, and went the extra mile by calling one of his contacts, so he got us in touch with Aaron, a carpet professional, who is going to be able to help us out on installing the carpet that we need.

Mitchell fixed my fence after a large tree limb fell on it. He responded to texts and showed up when he said he would. Moreover, he did great work. I hope he will help me with future projects. Also, he was very nice to my cats!

Mitch was an absolute pleasure to work with! My wife and I bought a 100 year old starter home that needed some trim replaced, had cabinets coming away from the walls, had severely cracked front concrete steps, had woodpecker holes in the siding, and needed new stairs to the basement. I am very happy with our experience with Mitch Mullens and Mullens RPM. From the start, Mitch was quick with communication when other contractors were slow or not respondent.

We wanted to remodel two bathrooms and another half bath - a significant project. I do not have experience with remodeling and am terrible at design and Mitch made this process easy - he truly is an artist!

It was so much fun working with Mitch and watch his creative juices flow. We wanted a white subway tile bathroom and Mitch found ways to elevate the space.

Our bathroom is challenging because of its extremely small size. We can't show full pictures because it's so small. But the results are incredible. It feels open. It feels luxurious and we couldn't be happier.

Overall his timeline and quote were spot on and reasonable. His communication was also strong and most importantly I trusted his judgment and knew he had our best interest in mind.

Mitch is an honest contractor. A good soul and a man we will definitely be reaching out to for future remodel needs.

We engaged Mullens RPM to remodel the fireplace area in our living room. Mitch was extremely responsive during the quoting process and worked diligently with us on the design. He performed demolition, built our hearth and mantelpiece, installed stack stone, and was conscientious of all the finishing touches. We are extremely pleased with the end result. It is a beautiful area. He was detail-oriented throughout the process. We are looking forward to working with him again on additional projects.

Had a great experience with Mitchell. Upfront with all the details and time lines for the job. He took the time to explain everything and make sure everything was documented if there was something that came up as a surprise it was known. Would recommend for any remodeling projects.

One of the more pretentious and condescending people i have ever spoken to and the arrogance when i tried to ask questions. Was wanting to do a tear down and rebuild but the guy was so rude i just could no longer tolerate him. He claims to be a proffessional but does not act like one. I sincerely suggest finding a business run by more pleasant people. It is pretty bad when the person answering questions is smug, arrogant and down right rude. Found friendlier people to work with. Life is to short to deal with people like this.***His response below claiming that anyone who is "put off" by his smug attitude and arrogant presence is mentally ill, tells you everything you need to know. I tried to give them business but made it seem like "they were doing me a favor by taking my money" Worst attitude and most arrogant person i have dealt with in Sioux Falls. Found a pleasant company to perform my tear down/deack re-model.

Mitch remodeled my stairs that goes to the attic. His work is fantastic. I don't worry abit. The stairs are beautiful.

Would give this place more stars if I could! Extremely grateful for the excellent work and wonderful customer service. 10/10 recommend coming here to get any repairs, etc. that you may need.

Our conference room had terrible vent interference during our meetings. We have an older building that needs some updating. Mullen’s did an amazing job as you see below. The picture below includes the soundproofing of the air vent panel installed on the right.

Originally a 5 star review, although it was asked for and paid for, Mitch did do timely and decent work. Be aware that he will insist on doing it his way, or he will refuse the work. I even referred Mitch to my parents. However, things changed when I asked him to quote a larger project for my house. We decided to downgrade the project as his original estimate was high. Rather than work with us, he claimed he spent hours on estimates I never saw and has a policy against too many revisions. Mitch even brought his kids into the conversation for some reason. All of this and he had the audacity to call me “unprofessional” for wanting to save money. Mitch is a decent guy, but after this exchange and talking with him, he just seems a bit off. I’d recommend finding someone else to work with.

Update: I had a little fender bender hitting my new deck and Mitch so graciously came out and fixed it for me. Couldn’t ask for better service!!

Mitch quoted and built a pergola and a paver walkway along the side of my house. He is very creative and has so many ideas!
Both the pergola and the paver walkway turned out much better than I dreamed it would. The pergola looks so good with a framed lattice top. The colors and arrangement of the pavers along the house is beautiful and took an eroded, mud prone area from drab to gorgeous. I would highly recommend Mitch. Mitch basically saved us from disaster as my wife and I attempted a major deck replacement without enough time and definitely not enough experience!
We had purchased everything we needed and then some! Many deck companies and builders do not like to take on those type of projects since the materials are not guaranteed by the builder..

Mitch did a great job building our fence. He was the first person I've ever hired under contract who let me know he was going to be late one of the days he was working. We have already hired him to build a custom pergola to cover our 16' x 30' patio. We and our pups are enjoying our new fence!

Called and spoke to Mitch about a toilet subfloor replacement. And although I appreciate Mitch’s honesty and transparency, he basically told me that my “job was too small and didn’t want to do it”. Basically he was saying that he didn’t want to replace the subfloor and do the grunt work and not be able to do the flooring as well. He referred me to “my local 20 year old neighborhood kid” because they are more suitable to do grunt work. Even though they do have a “handyman team” that they send out for smaller jobs. Awesome to see their business thriving so much that they can overlook “little jobs” like mine which probably helped grow their business to what it is now. Hope that they continue to do well and never have to lower themselves to jobs that are as insignificant as mine. So really writing this review so that others know, if you don’t have a giant remodel of kitchen or bathroom doesn’t sound like they have any interest.

A section of our fence blew down on Saturday and I called Mitchell on Monday morning and he came out and inspected our whole fence, repaired/replaced what was needed and did a fantastic job! He answered all our questions and even reinforced sections of our fence that were wobbly! We appreciate his professionalism and workmanship. Also, he gave us a fair bid on the work. We cannot say enough good things about this company. They came out when no one else would to help give a temporary fix to our fence. They then came back out at the end of the season to repair it once the ground thawed. The repair is better than it was originally! They kept in touch, had amazing communication, and really helped us out when we needed it most! Thank you for everything!

Wow, first he’s very thorough and professional. We asked Mitchell to remodel our bathroom, bedroom and install an egress window (along with a few other smaller things). He also helped with our storage crisis and installed wood shelving in the garage. It’s nice that he did most everything himself, even digging out the hole in the middle of February for the egress window. We are very pleased with how everything turned out and it meant a lot to us that he actually came out to look at the project first to assess everything then sent us a quote for the project, whereas a lot of contractors gave us astronomical price quotes over the phone without looking at anything. We have a few other projects that we need to get done, so we’ll definitely be contacting RPM in the future.

He’ll pick and choose who to do business with & “respectfully decline” doing work for you. We are in the process of purchasing a home. As everyone is aware, you aren’t able to withdraw or deposit large amounts of funds prior to a home closing, per lender request. It’s November and we needed a fence completed prior to the ground freezing as soon as we close. He declined doing business with us solely because a family member was going to write him the deposit check on our behalf (since we cannot withdraw our funds at the moment). He then essentially accused me of trying to scam him. Someone this worried about being scammed is probably doing the scamming. Word of mouth goes a long way. Most companies would appreciate a down payment regardless where it comes from. It’s a shame because we have a newly built home with an unfinished basement, unfenced yard, a deck that needs some adjustments, and so many other finishing touches. But I won’t be using this “business” for any of them & I’ll be sure my friends and family steers clear too. I’ll happily take my money elsewhere.

I was very impressed with how quick Mitchell responded to me. I had called another person to come and give me an estimate on my fence and had to chase him to get it done. With one phone call Mitchell was able to give me a quote and came out the next day to do my fence repairs. He did a wonderful job and you can feel his pride in doing the job right!
