Bought a house recently and a friend recommended having Brad @BHPHI do our home inspection. Brad was super friendly and has loads of experience. Brad was super in depth and studied the house in detail. Highly professional and knowledgeable. Saw an issue with the plumbing and called in another pro to scope the pipes with a hundred foot snake camera, probably saved me $8k down the road. Hit the house with a thermal camera and showed me where the insulation was lacking, ran a 48 hour Radon test, scoured the foundation for cracks, crawled in the attic and found ventilation issues, and checked the roof for hail damage. I couldn't imagine what more a home inspector could do without taking core samples and putting them under a microscope.

Brad was very diligent with the inspection a detailed in his report. It had snowed 3 feet the day he inspected the house and he still went above and beyond to make sure everything was checked. He used a drone to check the roof, set up up a Radon test, and ran thermal imaging. Would highly recommend.

Plugged up kitchen sinks not only impede your schedule but sewer gas has a nasty smell. I was visiting my folks in RC for a few weeks and needed a quick fix, daylight was fading and I was worried the sink would be plugged all night. I contacted Brad to inspect a home in Lead during my purchase process. Because this was my first home purchase, and being funded on a VA loan, I wanted the best inspection possible. After a long search and several recommendations I found Brad. He picked up the phone on the second ring and we had an appointment within a week. The VA process is extremely strict on the condition of the house and I didn't want any surprises that might set my timeline back. Because I'm budgeting my home purpose on a single parent income, I was looking at older homes in Lead, notorious for foundation issues, leaks, and DIY projects gone bad. Brad was very detailed and thorough with the radon testing. He gave me detailed information on radon and what to do if the test came back as a high reading. Highly recommended! Brad did my home inspection and radon test. He was thorough in his home inspection report. The report was understandable and included many photos of the exterior and interior of the house and garage. The home is a fixer upper and Brad included everything that needed to be replaced or repaired. As I am getting ready to sell the house I am referring to the report for repairs. All his work was well done. A few days after the inspection I received pdf files of both reports. Also a explanation of radon.

I can’t say enough about my positive experience with Brad. He has been to my house four times, each time he was on time or a few minutes early. We were in the need of a radon test for the house and Brad used a new test machine. When the results came back, the results were so low that he decided that running a second test would be prudent. He then went out of his way on a weekend to do a second radon test and give us a quote on a mitigation system within the deadline. Turns out we may not need the system after all.
