Happy to support a fellow veteran! Partnering with Doc and his crew was incredible throughout our three month long full-home renovation. They bent over backwards to accommodate us while we were lived in the house while the work was being done; they came up with a plan to break the projects down into more manageable sections.

What started off with a leak from the master bath into our kitchen ceiling, we jumped at the chance to go ahead and renovate our entire upstairs. We were immediately sold on Doc’s vision that corresponded and complemented what we wanted to do, and within our budget. He had ideas that we never thought of and came out better than expected.

The main level renovation was something to see! The crew cleaned up as they went along, were courteous and professional, and were ingenious in how they were able to make our dream a reality. It was fun listening to them laugh and cut up as they worked. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Even with the constant changes and curveballs we threw at them, they took it in stride!

Our house is now so radically different (and improved) than what we started with, it would be unbelievable if I hadn’t watched it happen first hand.

He gave us a thorough breakdown of prices for all projects we wanted and didn't pressure us one way or another, but instead was very neutral and made great suggestions. We had a fair amount of water damage and MSH did a wonderful job of identifying the cause, developing a plan to fix it and executing it. Doc also worked with us to provided the necessary documentation to the insurance company. Our house feels like a home again and we are extremely pleased with the results. The worst experience I’ve EVER HAD with a contractor. Got our master bathroom and closet remodeled , should’ve only took two weeks but took almost 3 months. The owner never ordered our products and lied about it.

The workers would show up whenever they wanted to at different times , and we wouldn’t get a call to let us know if they weren’t coming into work. They left trash all around our house for weeks at a time , as well as screws and nails and broken glass in our driveway. I made this an issue multiple times to the owner who never did anything about it. They would leave soda cans , water bottles , chip bags all around my property on the ground.

We caught the owner DOC in multiple lies ,one week it snowed on a Monday they didn’t show up as I wouldn’t expect them to , Tuesday was fine outside but again no show , no problem didn’t make a big deal out of it, now Wednesday comes , and he told us he shut down ALL OPERATIONS due to weather conditions,that none of his work vehicles would be on the road BECAUSE IT WAS DANGEROUS, and because it was 14 degrees even tho they work inside my house. Mind you we live in Nanjemoy and my wife drives to and from Baltimore everyday , the ROADS WERE FINE . What he didn’t know is that one of his workers had already told me they had a 2 story whole house renovation that was supposed to be completed by January 15th and it was barely started , and that the said renovation was in my area , so something not sitting right me I drove around for an hour and a half until I found the job , and guess what 4 work vehicles , guys outside in the 14 degree weather digging a trench around the house.

He had pulled guys off my job to work on another. Now caught doing this and lying about it , I could prove it I took pictures and added it to the group chat between me , my wife , and doc he didn’t respond for 4 to 5 hours clearly not knowing what to say.

The foreman had his brother in law working with him , who didn’t know anything as you would expect from a kid , but here’s where the problem lies with that , our bathroom has been done for about 2 weeks and the grout is dissolving in the shower between our natural stone due to it not being mixed right as he had the child go out there and mix the grout.

I could literally write a whole book with all the stuff this company has done wrong , but I’m tired of typing, they made this experience the worst one I’ve EVER HAD.

I called for someone to come in and provide an estimate for my basement repair due to water damage and I got yelled at by the man at the other end of the line. He said he was not going to provide an estimate because he can't work for free and will only provide an estimate if there's a guarantee he will get the job and I would have to be in a contract with him first. What sense does that make?? That seems very shady to me.

MSH contractors did a great job on the renovation of my basement! The staff was very professional and paid particular attention to detail. They were on time/prompt for work during the renovation. Because of their technical skills, they completed the job ahead of schedule!! If you are looking to hire an awesome team, MSH is your company.

The MSH team did excellent work and they were courteous. We only wish there was better communication on the availability of the crew.

MSH Signature Home Improvements was recently contracted to remodel our Living Room that had last been remodeled in 1991. We are so glad that we chose MSH. The entire experience, spearheaded by project manager Doc, went smoothly and quickly. We really appreciate the way Doc proved that he heard our primary pain point was that the room lacked ample lighting.
His design concept included a gorgeous ceiling light fixture along with coordinated wall sconces, and additional recessed ceiling lights. He also envisioned accent lights in the wall niches and muted colors for the walls and ceiling paint, the flooring, baseboards, switch and outlet plates.
Carlos, Roberto, Bobby and all other MSH crew members were professional, courteous, prompt, thorough and very considerate of our property. They did an excellent job and even finished ahead of schedule! We are very satisfied. Those who have seen the results tell us how beautiful it looks.

Being that our kitchen was the most used part of our house, as in most homes, we desperately needed an upgrade to our kitchen after 30+ years. We contracted with MSH Signature Home Improvements to bring our kitchen into one that would be beautiful and more functional for years to come, and they delivered that for us! I have hired MSH Signature Homes for two projects and they have done a great job on both. They refurbished a out building by replacing the subfloor, some joists, roof, added siding and more. In July/August 2022, I contracted with MSH Signature Home Improvement for a kitchen remodel. As part of the remodel effort, I purchased a farmhouse sink, stove, and hood. Additionally, I had a backsplash, countertops, and and island installed and or upgraded. The hood was not installed properly which may cause a safety issue, the company made design recommendations that were not befitting/agreed upon (black edging on backsplash), did not complete the island beadboard/trim and paint on the island, and has failed to provide receipts for the items purchased (hood, stove, and sink) which I have requested over 5 times. While the company promised to act on these requests, they did not honor many commitments. The ultimate disappointment was when final payment was made, MSH Signature Improvements owner sent me a text with a threat to take a lien on my home accusing me of cancelling the payment transaction only to learn that his bank had operated in error. I found this not only egregious, but extremely unprofessional. Moreover, the vendor did not return material I purchased as part of a 3 part reinstall, for the failed design recommendation to my backsplash, so not only was there poor craftmanship causing me to have to hire another vendor for a backsplash reinstall, which led to the purchase or more material and paying more than budgeted for a very small job, which by the way MSH Signature Home Improvement often commented on how small of a job he performed at my home, but I advised, my money spent the same as those who have much larger home improvement projects. The owner has not made me whole by the refusal to complete the project as well as the refusal to produce receipts for the kitchen appliances purchased. The owner offered a return date, but never made good on it by not contacting me afterwards. This $18,000 home improvement ending up costing me an additional $3200 thus far and I have not tackled the incomplete work and incorrect hood install. Disappointed overall.

I hired MSH Home improvement after a fire damage where I lost everything. The whole team was more than great to me and my home. My whole kitchen was redesigned and rebuilt.

MSH Home Improvement solved my water damage nightmare. They transformed my lower level from a once dull space into a nice bright inviting area. The work was completed way before schedule even prior to insurance releasing funds. I was so happy with the work done and the service, I will be using MSH Home Improvement for my next planned project!

We had a wonderful experience with Doc and MSH Home Improvement! We took several quotes after a kitchen flood, but went with Doc based on his experience with insurance and vision. He manages his teams' time and resources exceptionally well, so we were done weeks earlier than other contractors predicted. No ridiculously long waits between starting and finishing. He has a great eye and helped us with design while also working with our taste. Communication was great, too. The whole experience was nothing like we've experienced before with other construction jobs. He's also just a heck of a nice guy!

We hired MSH to do a master bath renovation last year. It was quite possibly the most disappointing performance I've ever paid to see. We have a big glass shower, but the drain is literally the highest point of the floor. He allegedly has a tile guy who can fix it, but 10 months later I've stopped holding my breath. It took all of 2 weeks for the grout to crack in all the corners because they did not use siliconized grout. Looking at some of the mistakes they left makes it hard to consider their workmanship as anything higher than amateur DIY. If you're looking at this company to do any significant amount of work, do yourself a favor and keep looking. Even if you end up paying more, it will be worth it to avoid having to squeegee water to your drain after every shower. I will try to post pics, but I have noticed negative comments sometimes get deleted.
The photos shown don't even depict all the uneven tile placement and lippage. We could go into even more details but it even sounds ridiculous the amount of things that went wrong before he finally said he was underwater, after redoing the shower twice (both incorrectly) and it was better for him to be done. At the end...beware.

"Doc", it's Mrs. House, not Dear, thank you. 1st: you do know we were upset. 2nd. That $5k+ is grossly inaccurate, which you know, per our last email that YOU never responded to. Plus, it wasn't finish work your guys just left, you left an incorrectly installed shower that your guys did wrong, twice, before you decided it was not worth it to finish. 3rd: you are implying we didn't want to wait the weekend. By the time you called us to tell us you wouldn't be coming back, we were already 5 weeks into a 14-16 day job. 4th: Social Media is how you let others know about the work that was done for you by those you hire. So this is exactly where this belongs. All companies want people to review them on social media, except when they do a poor job, and suddenly at that point, it's not the place? Doesn't work like that. 5th: As I've told others, I'm sure your team does a nice job a lot of time, but for how much a remodel costs, your team should be doing an amazing job ALL the time. Sadly, this was just not the case for us. Lastly, the pics are absolutely fair. We can show details on the photos that these were taken the very week that you chose to not return to finish this job. I'm not sure how you can look at the picture of the tub filler and call that a good installation. Have a good day.

MSH Home Improvement did a complete remodel of my 1st floor. They remodeled my kitchen and bathroom. Replaced all of my subfloors and some of my floor joists. Replaced all exterior and interior doors. They laid Luxury vinyl flooring throughout, as well as adding recessed lighting and many other small projects. From day one, there were several trades involved in the overall construction. The crew was very skilled, efficient, responsive and easy to communicate with. MSH made sure the work was coordinated so that there were no delays and kept the work flowing so that it was completed in the timeframe that Doc (Owner) initially gave me. MSH has gone above and beyond in every aspect. Always willing to answer my questions or make recommendations. I had a wonderful experience with MSH. I am truly thankful I called for their services. They are not only professional at what they do but also reliable and dependable. They exceeded my expectations. My home looks beautiful! Any homeowner choosing to work with them will be very pleased and extremely satisfied.

Our master bathroom flooded and the water came down the kitchen. I was a week out of my due date and the added stress did not do me any good. Doc came in, did the water mitigation and wrote our estimate very quickly to be submitted to the insurance company. Enough cannot be said about how happy we are with the results of our remodel project, managed and completed by MSH! From the onset, Doc and his team were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Stated that they would come out to provide an estimate, said they were on their way but never showed up. Had to call to find out the problem an hour later which was "the van broke down". It appeared that they would come out the next day, however 12 days have gone by and never heard from them. This $5000 job is now available to reliable builders/remodelers!!

MSH performed my master bedroom, walk-in closet closet, and 1.5 bath remodel. Months later I am completely happy with my modern farmhouse luxury, spa-like sanctuary and happy to give my high recommendation of their business.

“Doc” was terrific. As a veteran, he stands by his word and is committed to excellence. He came highly recommended and from the first time meeting him, I knew he was the correct choice. His eye for interior design helped create the vision we had for our remodel. Most importantly he was extremely responsive and flexible during COVID, precautionary in looking out for his crew’s and client’s health. He was flexible and communicative about materials, cost, and design. His cost estimates are on point, fair, better than the competition. Doc was honest (as I expect and appreciate if a veteran owned business owner) to keep on budget, manage expectations, and recommend options and alternatives to maintain inside of budget.

As no project goes without a hiccup, Doc immediately and proactively made corrections and provided the desired end product. A true professional! Other contractors show reluctance, make excuses, or oppose fixing an error. This was not the case and is a testament to his pride and word in the work MSH does.

I’m happy to say I have already looked into future remodels (half bath and a major kitchen remodel). I know I’ll get the modern, luxury look I am looking for and will provide years of happiness and value to my home.

Doc and his team completed a renovation to our very old and outdated kitchen. I read his reviews and decided to give him a call. He came out later that week and provided me a very reasonable estimate. I had contacted two other companies and Doc was by far the most reasonable and responsive. Overall my husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with our new kitchen. We got new cabinets, double sink, floors and painting. If you’re like me and are working with a limited budget, MSH is the place for you! I will most definitely use Doc again for future projects!!

I found Doc and MSH Home Improvements from a friend sharing their page on Facebook. We were looking to have our living room redone and have our front doors replaced. I contacted Doc and he came out two days later to give us a price quote that we thought was really fair. We decided to go ahead and get the process started and the team started about 1.5 weeks later. They completely updated our living room and now it finally feels like it matches the rest of our house. They turned it into a family room and we spend all of our time out there. We can't wait to work with Doc and the guys for more projects in the future!

MSH Home Improvement did an outstanding job of remodeling our master bathroom. We never use the big heart-shaped tub I was since we bought the house new and we were so glad to get that out and have this company put in a 4‘ x 5‘ walk in shower and a new term. MSH Home Improvements is an impeccable contracting company. I recently had some home improvements done to my home and I am very impressed!

In early February 2020 my wife was getting her hair done at BritStyle in LaPlata, Md. While she was there a gentleman was also there waiting for his son to get his haircut. The gentleman turned out to be ‘Doc’ the owner of MSH Home Improvement. He was talking about work that he was doing at some houses in the neighborhood. Since we were planning on having some work done at our house my wife asked him for his card. Later that week my wife started reading reviews on MSH Home Improvement and she said they all sound way too good to be true so we just put it on the back burner for awhile.

Last week the discussions came up again about getting our Living Room, Hallway, ceiling, and Foyer painted. Since I’m 70 years old I didn’t feel like trying to paint a ceiling especially in the Foyer. So, we called Doc for an estimate on the job. He came out that afternoon to check it out. We had some samples painted on the walls and when Doc saw that he knew what we were looking for so he made some recommendations. Additionally, the doors to our bedrooms, bathroom, and linen closet were original (circa 1968) and they really needed replaced. Doc said he knew exactly what was needed. Finally, the floor in our Foyer was absolutely in need of repair and Doc had an answer for that project. I figured there is no way we are going to afford this renovation but, I’ll let him give us an estimate. Well, the estimate was unbelievably reasonable and pretty hard to resist. We agreed on the job and Doc said he will have a crew here on Monday only 6 days away.

On Monday the crew showed up on time with Doc and he told them what needed to be done and bingo they went to work. In two days, all the doors were replaced, the ceiling was painted, the walls were painted all one color except one wall as an accent wall, the baseboard and trim were painted, the stairs were painted, the new floor in the foyer was installed and everything was beautiful and beyond belief, our jaws just dropped and we still can’t stop smiling. The crew cleaned up after themselves, removed all trash and doors and framing that were also removed. Unbelievable is all we could say.

If we ever have another project to do in our house we are going to call Doc and his crew at MSH Home Improvement. They were the most professional, polite, and courteous people we ever met. It was a great experience and now our house looks absolutely marvelous. There aren’t enough words to thank Doc and his crew. You guys are the greatest.

Found MSH Home Improvements through a random internet search. Liked what I was seeing via the website and decided to submit an inquiry to discuss more. Within 30 min I was contacted by Darin aka “Doc”. Very professional from the start. Same day Doc came to my home for an thorough walk through/inspection. He was very detailed during the walk through and kept a open and relaxed conversation.

He was transparent and I didn’t feel pressured or coach into a decision or commitment. Overall MSH was very flexible and affordable. I knew my home was in good hands from the initial meeting throughout the entire process. Do your self a favor and call MSH today as you will not be satisfied!!!!!

I was very satisfied and impressed with the work that MSH did. My garage roof was leaking for years and no one was able to fix it or find the problem. Many roofers tried resealing, patching, even changing shingles. When I called MSH, I received prompt and professional help. Doc was very knowledgeable and provided outstanding repair. After many heavy rains, I didn't see single water drop inside of the garage. What a wonderful experience!

Couple weeks later my microwave and gas range stopped working. I called MSH again. He arrived the next day. The two plugs inside the kitchen cabinets where microwave and range were plugged didn't work. But the brakes in Electrical panel were all fine. Doc inspected everything, step by step and he came out to tight and connect the wiring. We were lucky he fixed it on time because it could possibly get black, hot and caught the house on fire.
I highly recommend MSH to any kind of repair and especially home improvements. MSH does EXCELLENT JOB!
