I hadn't purchased a new vehicle in almost a decade due to worries over credit. I was in need of a new vehicle to take my daughter places. Staff members Shane Campbell and Tyler Bright went out of their way to take care of my family and ensure we had a affordable payment in a tough economy. We were nervous about purchasing a EV but Shane took care of us. I can't say enough about the positive experience I had. We love our new VW. had the car towed on dec 12 to morgan mcclure. Had no updated for 3 months straight. Finally started getting updates that they was waiting parts each time we contacted them. Then on may 23rd. They stated car was ready and fixed. They have not sent a estimate to insurance or provided me with the estimate or what all they did repairs on expect they told me they fixed the bumper and replaced the converter. Then Car broke down at rual king in norton. Where it went back into limp mode. Smelling like rotten eggs and showing the same issues when we first took it to th. They came to hauled it back with a tow truck same day. And since may 23rd we have not had any contact with them expect twice. they refuse to answer calls or text messages. So ive been contacting the insurance company each week and they been calling morgan mcclure to get updates. They told State Farm june 24th it was an issue out of their scope and they was having another mechanic/texh to come look at it and they would have an answer by that friday. on june 31st state farm contacted them and was told they moved our car to a sister shop and i had no clue and no idea where my car is at. I didnt give consent nor wasnt aware they was moving our car to a different location/shop. I had zero knowledge that it was being moved. They didnt even tell state farm the location. Basically, my car is MIA. July 7th, i asked state farm location and they again had no answer for me on where my car was at. Still havent heard from Morgan Mcclure. Last we heard anything was on June 19th from them.
Then on July 12th my husband stumbled opon the car. It is located at the super service center on hawthorn drive in norton va.
Told them my husband located our car. Gave them the address and the phone to the location. They called both morgan mcclure and super service shop. She said the lady at the super service shop sounded disgusted whatever that ment and that they told them the car has been there the last few weeks and morgan mcclure has NOT told them anything as far as what diagnosis the did, what they replaced or what they think is wrong with the car. That before they even do anything to the car they need all the paper work/information from morgan mcclure and they have yet to get anything from them. That morgan mcclure towed it to them with no information just dropped it off and that was it.
How can you just tow a car, drop it off somewhere else because its out if your scope and not provide any information about the car or why your dropping it off?
The first 3 months from December to February/March i did give the benefit of the doubt because it was the hoildays and we had some wild weather i mean the kids didnt go back to school till February so i understand. Im a very understanding person. But to have no contact, no updates with us. Zero communication skills what so ever. Only thing we have been told is waiting in parts , parts order was like 6 to 8 through out this whole process. Only know the only part for sure that was replaced was a converter and the bumper. So what are the other parts that was fixed? why hasnt there been any documentation sent to start farm and any documentation to us? Any service shop. Body shop. Garage i have ever went to for repairs has given me a copy of the estimate and given me a final copy of everything that has been replaced. Get the car 5 months later after it being towed for repairs to have the same problems still is also very unsettling. Then to only hear back once weeks later and the second time was because we found our car ourselves is even more upsetting. This isnt okay by any means and i have done research and talked to proper channels no shop should have someones car for longer than 5 or 6 months and it seems they are prolonging it. i have filed a complaint and sent all documentation that i have to the Better Business Bureau and also to Virginia Attorney General’s Office. This is rather ridiculous. Unprofessional. Bad business behavior. I want ever send my cars back to this place this was the 1st time and will be the last time. Im disgusted.

I got my vehicle fixed after an accident, they were amazing with keeping me up to date with the process, they were super helpful with any questions I asked and I asked a lot of questions. I hope nothing else goes wrong with my car but if so I know it will be well taken care of here

So I had to take some time to post a review on this place since dealers vary so dramatically .
I very likely buy and trade way too many cars but have happily owned a 2021 vw id4 since 2021 that I purchased when I lived in NJ . I’ve had both gas and EV vehicles but given the small amount of driving I normally do ( under 4k a year ) , last few years I’ve been fine with the id4 . This past winter showed me rwd kinda dicey on the mountain so I started looking at a replacement EV. I’m comfortable using EA public chargers in event I need to road trip but wanted something with similiar range to my VW . The awd blazer seemed to fit the bill and I did go to my closest dealer to sit n and drive one to make sure I was comfortable in it . The dealer I went to (not this one ) seriously wouldn’t budge an inch from msrp ( car was there fir 400 days ) didn’t look hard for the rebates and the last straw was big lowball trade in numbers . I didn’t NEED a car so had no problem walking out the door . Fast forward 5 days and asked Morgan Mclure about 2 of their lot ( they were there for a long time too ) they emailed promptly and the trade in number was much better so I took the 80 mile drive to the dealer ( I have zero issue traveling to be treated fairly ) .
Once in the dealership they did not change or bait and switch and they proceeded to write up and get the transaction done over the next day . An absolute pleasure dealing with everyone here from sales to finance and I recommend to anyone looking to buy a car to give this place a chance to earn your business . I will drive by the other 2 closer Chevy dealers in a future to buy here again .

My On-Going Experience with Morgan McClure Chevrolet in Coeburn, Virginia

I first tried to make an appointment with Morgan McClure on February the 1st (because I know that if I just come in someone will ask "Do you have an appointment?"), but whomever I spoke with on the phone told me that they couldn't make me an appointment over the phone and that I just had to come in on Monday morning when they opened at 8, so I did just that. And sure enough, the first thing I was asked was: "Do you have an appointment?"

What's worse, even though there were only two cars waiting to be serviced, I was informed that the soonest that they could see me would be Thursday. Since I had no other choice, save go somewhere else, I took the Thursday spot and returned on that day.

After waiting a little under an hour, I was informed that my transmission needed to be replaced and that they would have to order me one and would let me know when it came in.

After waiting over two weeks, I finally received a call on the 22nd that my transmission had arrived the day before and that they would get back to me on the 24th.

I, of course, assumed that this meant that they would start working on my car on the 24th, which was Monday. However, come Monday morning, I received another call, this time informing me that they wouldn't start working on my car until the 26th, which was Wednesday. I wasn't happy about this, but there was nothing I could do but agree to bring it in Wednesday morning--which I did.

I was told that the job would take a day-and-a-half and was given a ride back home. I waited all day Thursday to hear back from them--which I never did.

Friday played out exactly the same--waited around all day and never heard back from them. When it got to be 5 o'clock I decided to call them for a progress report--all while hoping and praying that they had already finished changing my transmission.

My prayers were not answered--they were not finished, and the mechanics had already gone home for the day.

As of writing this, it is now Tuesday, and I still haven't heard back from them. The job that I was told would take a day-and-a-half is now six days and counting. And I should also mention that they have not contacted me once to let me know the progress on my car.

Sadly, this is not the first time that they have shown me their lackluster communication skills or how little they value me as a client. The last time I needed them to order me a part played out almost exactly the same and ended up taking over a month before I finally got the part I needed replaced.

Even though I have purchased two cars from them and have used their mechanical services several times, this will be the last time I ever give Morgan McClure my business--not only am I going elsewhere for all future car repairs, but I am also going elsewhere the next time I need to purchase a vehicle.

These people accepted a car that had plenty recalls as a trade in and saw my daughter, a hard working 18 year old, coming… a few days after the first 30, her car broke down- and go figure, they told her she was on her own with that problem.
But not just that, the lady who set up her insurance told her the $360 would be monthly payments but come to find out they turned out to be biweekly. What 18 year old can afford this? But to beat it all., This person put down the address incorrectly, resulting in my daughters license getting suspended while her lemon car was sitting at a dealership undrivable because that woman put down the correct mailing address, which is a PO Box box!
I do want to take this public so that other hard working people know how sloppy they are and how they’ll take advantage of you not knowing things… - it was their duty to check whether the previous owner had all the recalls fixed, but hey… they saw a teenager coming along to take money from!!!
And dude of course got a commission for acting like he was cutting her a “special deal “ …
To the lady who can’t hear: please don’t do this to anyone else/ y’all have cost my daughter and family a good deal of money and so much trouble!!!
Sure enough- not having any integrity can fill up your pockets- but if you’re harming others, i just hope fate doesn’t punish you by your loved ones being put in a bad situation… even if you don’t believe in Karma…
At this point I am still trying to speak with an attorney- it’s just that my daughter goes to college and works full time and barely has time but if she wants, I will pay for an attorney!
She deserves reimbursed for everything this place has caused her!

Well i traded a car in bought a used truck that had a dent and was put on we owe and they need to keep for three days and dont have a car for me to drive while they fix it i think that is wrong and thirty year i spent in the car bussiness i never left anyone with out a car while we fixed a problem

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever experienced with a dealership. I was asked to bring my vehicle over for appraisal. Two hours trying to get a price for my trade or for them to buy straight out and they refused to tell me what they would offer unless I ordered a new one first. Save yourself some time and go to another Chevy dealer. If I could have gave a zero rating I would have.

This dealership is 5 steps above the rest!
I flew in from Michigan to buy a truck, and it was the most pleasant experience I ever had buying a vehicle. My salesman Mike was very upfront on the condition of the truck, and didn't waste my time. In fact, Mike sold me the truck, and after the owner Mr Morgan found out I was driving the truck from Tri-City TN back to MI he fixed additional things to ensure that the truck was safe for me to drive free of charge!!!! Unbelievable!!!!
They weren't not under any obligation to do this, everyone I met that day was so kind, and helpful, even the mechanics!!! By the way the truck made it to MI no problems, and I'm still currently driving it today, would take it anywhere, a great truck, and great customer service, and if I could give a higher rating I would, thank you guys so much Mr Morgan, you are a rock star!!!! And Mike, you have to be the most honest salesman I have ever met, and you set a new standard and move the needle making it tough for the next salesman to follow!!! You guys are a class act!!!! The service department staff was very courteous and they took the time to explain what needed to be corrected on my vehicle. The parts department had the parts on hand that my vehicle required. Even if they hadn't, they can get the items in a short period of time. I felt comfortable with the mechanic making the necessary repairs. I would recommend people take their vehicles to Morgan McClure for dependable service, and parts. You may even find a vehicle that you can't live without while visiting the dealership. Called and spoke to Mike Ross on 6/27/22 to inquire about looking at a car and told him I would be there around 4:00 pm the next day. I showed up on 6/28/22 to talk to Mike about the car and he could not locate it, come to find out that someone had taken the car on a test drive on the 27th and was planning on buying the car. The excuse given was, “well we don’t hold cars for people”, Mike needs to learn better customer service and be courteous and call someone to let them know so they don’t drive out of their way to look at a car that isn’t even on their lot. There seems to be a lack of communication between sales staff and sales staff reaching out to customers. Will never recommend this place to anyone for a car. Complete waste of time to go there

I had gotten a used vehicle from there, when I called not even 6 months after I had gotten it because I got rejected for an inspection sticker because the exhaust is rusted, I called to see if they could fix the issue and immediately wondered how they put an inspection sticker on my car before I had gotten it off the lot, I’ve had to replace the serpentine belt, the whole hub assembly, and my car has been overheating starting a week or 2 after I had drove off the lot and called to ask if they could fix it and I was told that there’s nothing that can be done. I’ll never buy another car or recommend anyone to buy a car from here ever again. Below there is pictures of my exhaust dated from May 13th, 2021. I had drove off the lot in January of 2021. I’ve tried to make it right with the dealership and no one seems to want to do anything.
