Montana Mud Studs from the very beginning was professional, quick, and communicative. Jake and team made quick work of concrete pours 6 miles up a mountain road at over 8K feet elevation.

Not only did they work fast, but also helped me solve problems along the way. I was able to have conversations of what needed to get done, and Jake provided either the solution or a better alternative. They are reliable, if they say they can do it, they can.

Jake and his team did an excellent job removing the old, hazardous sidewalks and retaining wall at my home and replaced them with new. Excellent communication throughout the process. Fine craftsmanship and a huge improvement that looks like it will last indefinitely. They even made improvements to the fencing that needed to be removed and replaced when the concrete work was completed and provided me with information on caring for the concrete. Took a while to get the job started because Jake and his team are in demand, but well worth the wait. Once started, the job was completed quickly. I would highly recommend Jake and Montana Mud Studs for any of your concrete needs.

Jake is great to work with. He responded to my initial inquiry within hours and had a preliminary estimate to me that day. He was completely upfront with any adjustments to the estimate. We had an old cinder block garage which was falling apart and was small. We needed the garage removed. We needed the entire back of the property excavated and replaced with graded concrete. Then we needed a steel building constructed where the old garage was. Jake and crew did all 3 jobs. The finished project is perfect. I am so thankful we found him. I'll recommend him to everyone.

Jake Devine and Montana Mud Studs did a pour and finish on a monolithic concrete slab for a garage. We were very pleased with the promptness of their services, both in returning our inquiry for an estimate, in scheduling the job, and their arrival at the job site. Jake and his guys did a great job. I explained sort of what I wanted although my vision was not perfect. Jake did a great job of filling in the gaps and my project turned out even better than I expected. We are very happy with his work and prices and would recommend him to anyone.

Did an awesome job on my project. Demo, ground leveling, forming, concrete pouring and finishing, and cleanup were all done in a timely manner.

Our sidewalk had deteriorated to the point it was an eyesore in the neighborhood. And after a slip-and-trip injury, we knew it was time to replace it. Jake quoted the job quickly, when others were dragging their feet, hemming and hawing. And his team at Montana Mud Studs was just as efficient during demolition and installation.
Unfortunately the concrete is low quality material that didn’t even hold up 24 months and the entire surface flaked away. Two years in, we are back to eyesore of the neighborhood.

Jake claims that this is spalling due to chemical ice melt. It is not. It is complete surface delamination due to hasty finishing with a laminar paste layer surface. It looks great initially, which is wonderful, but the process is not suitable for this climate. Never even a proper evaluation, simply a ‘blame the customer’ - ‘I never make mistakes’ attitude.

Jake’s work is stellar. He understands jobs, materials, times lines and is a prompt and good communicator. He learned his trade from his father and takes great pride in carrying on the family tradition of quality work. The world needs more craftspeople like Jake Devine. I would highly recommend him.
