We had a relatively small project with a new tile backsplash in our kitchen. Even though the project was small in size, Hernan and team gave the project equal care and attention as would be afforded to larger, more complex projects. Miranda General Contractors completed our backsplash efficiently and with exceptional quality, with superb communication before and during the project. I will absolutely look for Hernan’s support on future home renovations!

Hernan and his crew were a pleasure to work with on our bathroom renovation. He finished in a very timely and efficient manner. They were very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. Had the opportunity to work with Miranda General Contractors for a major renovation of our condo caused by major water damage. They updated two bathrooms, repaired water damage, painted, etc. They were AMAZING!! Job was completed ahead schedule and we received updates on a regular basis. Frequently I hear people say, “I definitely don’t need a general Contractor for a home project or remodel, it costs too much, and I can do it myself.” In some cases that mentality may work, but in my case having Hernan Miranda, of Miranda GC in charge of my project saved me from avoiding certain short and long term disastrous outcomes.
The project was replacement of 31 windows and an entry way, consisting of a new door and sidelights, then painting new and old window trim and entryway. The company we chose for the project was from Jacksonville. Historically this company was reliable with a good reputation having worked in this area for many years, completing new installations and replacement windows and doors. The products were of high quality.
Unfortunately, right from the start there were many issues including; start dates, initially June but started in August; installation of 4-5 days that turned into five months; lack of proper installer supervision; replacing of damaged framing, window and entryway trim; caulking; and extended completion, waiting for a window that wasn’t ordered and a replacement for damaged of entry door. There were problems in every phase of the project.
Considering all the problems mentioned above, Hernan played an extremely vital role as GC, as well as assuming roles of Project Manager and Lead, making sure all aspects of work were completed correctly every step of the way. Because of his expertise Hernan determined when questionable work needed correction and offered alternatives and solutions. He was onsite or communicating with me at some point every day, and communicating with the crew, the company supervisors, and the owner. This became more imperative with the lack of company supervision and their continued unexpected delays. He always acted as my advocate to solve issues on my behalf with workers and the ownership. He kept pushing the company to do the work correctly and for prompt and total completion. Finally, the job was completed in February with the painting of the trim and entryway by the timely and experienced Eber Gomez and his crew of Amelia Island painting.
Although the project took much longer than expected, I can rest assured that the job was completed correctly thanks to the expertise and professionalism of Miranda GC. In my case a GC was vital, time and money were saved by making

sure the job was done correctly and would last for many years without failure. No way I could have managed all this by myself. So, before you take on a project yourself, do not make the mistake others have, use the company I would highly recommend for your next project, Miranda General Contactors.

Herman and team completed a kitchen face-lift and replaced a tub shower into a walk in shower within a couple weeks. They were professional, timely, and keep everything cleaned up after each work day. Hernan provided great advice on different scenarios so that we could make the best decision for us. The cost was very reasonable without compromising quality good work. Definitely would recommend for future projects.

Hernan and his team came recommended to us from a family friend and he did not disappoint! He moved around his schedule to accommodate us and was able to complete our LVP installation in 4 bedrooms in under 24 hours start to finish. The communication, quality and efficiency were all top notch. He even went above and beyond to help us change the locks in our new home. Thank you Miranda General Contractors! We just finished a complete kitchen remodel that included a wall removal, gas conversion , completely new hood vent and duct work, plumbing, electrical , floors, cabinets, countertops and various other items. Hernan served as our general contractor throughout the entire project. First, the work was done at the highest level. The quality of craftsmanship and finish is absolutely first rate. Additionally , our project stayed on schedule. Hernan was professional and kept us informed of the progress and promptly addressed issues that naturally occur on a complex project such as this. Our formerly small, modular kitchen is now a light, spacious, comfortable room that has transformed our home. I give Hernan my highest rating and absolutely will contact him again regarding future projects.

Hernan and his crew are always a pleasure to work with. There is a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. From smaller home improvements to whole home renovations, every time we have worked with Hernan we have been confident that the job would be done with care. And the results are fantastic!

Hernan has been my valued professional handyman/contractor for over 9 years. He has been a godsend for many of my home projects big and small. Hernan possesses all of the qualities anyone would want in a handyman/contractor.
First and foremost, Hernan has a high level of integrity. Translated into his professional capacity, he will always tell me if a project is worth completing or if it can be done in a more inexpensive way and yield the same result. The first time I met Hernan, I was asking him about the need to reseal my travertine floor. Hernan told me that the seal that had been applied was very adequate and to wait a few years to reseal it. Talk about impressed! He essentially turned down a job in exchange for honesty.
Secondly, Hernan is highly skilled and knowledgeable about nearly all interior and exterior projects. As a result, I had no hesitation with his management of my total master bedroom and closet remodel. It was a big project but the final result was absolutely beautiful. I was so pleased! Hernan has also helped me with painting, repair, remodel of a guest bedroom, repairs in the lanai etc. etc.
Thirdly, Hernan is an excellent communicator. He is able to explain all of the technicalities of how a job needs to be completed in a way that I can understand and the limitations and possible costs related to repair or replacement. We have a wonderful ability to problem solve and analyze together. This translates into increased satisfaction in the completed project.
Finally, Hernan has very high standards for himself, his contractors and the work he performs. He would never take short cuts that are not beneficial to the client or to the finished project. If he is unsatisfied with work completed by those he contracts, he will insist that work is redone and completed to a high standard. This allows me to feel comfortable having Hernan complete projects in our Florida home while my husband and I return to our home state for the summer months. In short, Hernan is just a really, really, good guy and a quality professional.

His quality of work is exceptional and he completed each project within the scope of time that was agreed upon. Hernan did a terrific job repairing our garage ceiling and replacing an overhead storage rack, which was originally installed improperly. He takes pride in his work, and it shows in the finished product. We will call him for any future projects.

Hernan has done several small projects for us and one larger project. He has always come in on or UNDER budget, on time or early. His best quality is his ingenuity and problems solving when obstacles arise and offering suggestions that are better than our original idea. He communicates along the way and doesn’t hesitate to answer even the most basic of questions in a prompt and professional manner.

If I could do a second review I would but it won't let me so I am adding to this one.

We needed a new roof and I reached out to Hernan. He went to work immediately on getting quotes and laying out the project since it was more than just a re-roof. We went with a metal roof and had some work done to fix our roof-line since our house has 80+ year old bones and has been through several metamorphoses over the years.

The final product was beyond amazing, we went with a metal roof, we have solar panels so that added a layer of difficulty that I think few people could have handled.

Bottom line, this project was a big one, Hernan went from pillar to post and beginning to end kept everyone in line and ensured I had as little stress as possible.

Can't give more than 5 stars but if I could I would.
