Mighty Dog Roofing of Kansas City

Blake Thirstrup looked at our roof a couple of weeks ago and identified a couple of problems. He came back today arriving on time and quickly got the roof in better condition. He explained what he did and that it was a short-term fix. Blake was very efficient and very friendly too.

Jeramy and the team were great to work with. Fast, quality, and they know the in’s and out’s of insurance. Highly recommend.

Jay Reese was an excellent rep for mighty dog roofing, he was thorough on his inspections, made time to be here with the insurance adjuster was here and fought for us when the insurance company missed items on their inspection. Jay and his crew were at our house on time and he continually checked with us throughout the project! Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Will was very helpful and informed me after flying a drone over my roof that there was some significant hail and wind damage. When were ready to get our deck done Im going to let will know were ready for the roof!

Scheduled to have an estimate done on May 30, 2025, at 3PM and there was a no show. Wasted valuable leaving of work early to meet this individual but received no call and no show, therefore, I do not recommend this business. If they are not able to keep an initial appointment, all additional business now seems highly untrustworthy.

I had the pleasure of having Gino from Mighty Dog Roofing come out to inspect my roof, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Gino was incredibly friendly, professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything he found. He walked me through the entire inspection process, pointing out areas of concern and answering all my questions with patience and honesty.

Haven’t used them yet, but will be in the future due to Gino being the first friendly and respectful of my time door to door salesman I’ve had in years.

A sales person came to our door asking if they can take video with a drone we said no and Kimberly proceeded to wait for my husband to leave and set up her drone anyway. I had to chase her off my property and all the while she said she had permission. This is a gross breach of property and privacy. This is a disgusting business practice.

My grandma had might dog come and do her roof and the shed in her back yard and they were so nice to her and very easy to get along with. They made she that she was very taken care of. They did repairs on the soffits and fascia of our home. Shelby was personal and quick to get things moving. Their team did a fantastic job getting everything that we needed done.

Look elsewhere. I contracted with Mighty Dog Roofing for gutter repair and was invoiced an obscene amount of money on a job that required less material and only took 15% of the time of what I was originally quoted. The service I contracted for was not even completed by Mighty Dog, it was subcontracted to another local crew (who were great, but I'm not reviewing them). That same crew completed a nearly identical job for my neighbor and charged less than half of what Mighty Dog ultimately invoiced me for. It's interesting that on Mighty Dog's website they differentiate themselves as "serving with integrity," unfortunately my experience did not live up to that standard.

Mighty Dog Roofing was integral to me receiving insurance coverage for the damage to my roof and gutters. Javier did an amazing job at talking to my insurance company and telling them exactly what they needed to know, which was information I’m not familiar with. They fought really hard for me and it paid off in the end. Throughout the entire process, Javier was quick to respond to my questions and help me throughout the entire process. They didn’t try overselling me on anything, and they worked with my ideas seamlessly. The crews that came out to complete the construction on my house were incredibly professional and did an amazing work. Great experience with Mighty Dog and Shelby Gifford. Honest and great communication from Shelby. Several neighbors had hail damage repairs, and mighty dog inspected ours as well. Though the damage was there, Shelby was honest in that our particular insurance co was a real stickler and doubted they’d approve.
In talking with Shelby I mentioned a leak that was showing in an upstairs bedroom ceiling and he remembered a vent coming up that could possibly be the issue. Shelby flew the drone close up over the area and the vent boot was damaged and someone had attempted to repair with caulking.
Because Might dog was working on 3 different houses on our block Shelby said they could send someone over and quickly replace a boot for us.
Vent boot was replaced within the next two weeks and Shelby followed up with drone verification that work was complete and didn’t charge us a thing. This sort of service is extremely rare and I’ve dealt with many, many contractors in the past in various trades.

When it’s time for a complete replacement I’ll definitely be calling Shelby with Mighty Dog then.

The crew who installed the new roof was professional and kind. Had it not been for being home on the day of install (and the fact that the shingle color is entirely different then before), I would doubt it occurred, as there were no visible signs of debris/trash left anywhere.

Pleased with gutter repair from Mighty Dog. Austin followed up the work and provided the service he promised. If needed will use Mighty Dog services for future work.
