Do not use these guys!!! MG’s roofing was contracted to replace my dad’s roof back in April 2025 with a promise of 2-3 weeks turnaround. It is now July and no action has been taken to replace our roof. These people convinced my dad who has terminal cancer to write them a BLANK check for our insurance money that covered the cost of our roof. After receiving payment, they completely went off the net about replacing our roof. They are only here for your money and saw an opportunity to take advantage of my dad’s terminal illness. Steer clear of this business. I quite literally had to take emergency leave from my deployment overseas to come tend to this matter as my father is unable to take care of himself.

Completely HORRIBLE. This constructor worked on my roof guaranteed by the insurance, where they negotiated to get every penny from the insurance company but did a bad job to my roof. They even didn't put ridge vents and did not know if it has or not. Eventually, I had to contact my estimator to get it done for them, but they delayed it for so long try to convince me it was fine, and so on so for. The manager rarely replied to my messages or never took my calls. At the end, they asked another constructor to do the ridge vents, but I was not happy since they did it badly. They also did not clean up many nails left on the ground and ceiling. NEVER WORK with them.

Niko was great to speak to, very informative and attentive to all our needs. We didn’t know we could get approved by our insurance until Niko explained everything. We got a very beautiful quality roof, and we got it all hand nailed just like he said.

The MG ROOFING crew did an excellent job job from the beginning to the end. It was obvious that they took their job seriously.. They were very careful in what they were doing and kept their work as quietly as possible. . Of course there was a lot of hammering as expected and they kept their work noise as quiet as they could. Most importantly they spread out tarps around the house and when the job was finished they used magnets and other utensils to minimize the roofing debris and nails they have removed from the old roof. In addition, when they finished their job they went around the house over and over again to make sure they collected all the debris that was not collected on the tarps. Lastly, they were all well behaved and when we had questions they responded in a. very civilized and courteous manner. In short, I would highly recommend this roofing company to my friends.

A few days after the roof was installed, I was visited by workers who installed my roof, asking for help as MG's Roofing apparently did not pay them. I handwrote a testimony for the workers and promptly called and informed MG's Roofing of what just occured. This was red flag #1.

A few months later, my roof began to leak. I texted and asked for a repair. After the repair, the roof began to leak again and I contacted MG's Roofing again. This time, it took nearly a month to get replies. At the point of this review, it is still not repaired after a no show and we are still waiting for a response.

just got roof replaced in 9-24 and they did a great job. Nico came to my house to let me know i had damage on my roof. he showed me the damage and after a year of him being patience(don't trust door knocking repair men) and letting me know how trust worthy his company is and giving me references i knew. i called them and they spoke well of MG's roofing. i am so grateful he didn't give up on me. Nico is not pushy but he's is kind and he believes in MG roofing. it's hard to find companies that do what they say they're going to do and MG is one of them!

MGs roofing did an amazing job on our home. They came out and did a very professional job. They also kept our yard clean. I would highly recommend them . Everyone we have talked to have been very nice and courteous.

was told everything would be taking care of they would do all the ground work with the insurance company and everything. come to find out that was not the case I had to keep calling and asking for info the first time the roofer was suppose to meet the adjuster out their the roofer was late. I have sent multi email and text never getting responses. The guy talking to insurance company keep referring to the wrong side of the roof. Not recommended.

My experience with MG's was excellent from the start. Niko was extremely professional, addressing any concerns I had about the insurance and inspection processes and immediately following up if I had questions. Chris and Matt were incredibly generous with their time and expertise, making sure everything went smoothly. I'm truly grateful for the work of the entire MG's Roofing team!

What a great experience from start to finish!
Christian streamlined the entire process while handling every detail effortlessly and with a high level of expertise and professionalism. The roof was replaced as promised in one day and to our complete satisfaction by a team of very skilled craftsmen who took great care to protect our property. When I was concerned about what seemed to be a delay in receiving the last claim payment Christian did not hesitate to call our insurance company to follow up and help facilitate that for us. The level of customer care is beyond compare.

Overall pretty happy with the whole experience. They came out and went over the process with me. They filed the insurance claim for me and took care of the entirety of that. They were very patient when dealing with my terrible insurance company. The whole roof didn’t get covered (no fault of MG’s) so they came up with a reasonable quote for the uncovered portion of the roof. I decided move forward with it and am very happy with the finished product. I would use them again.

They are very professional and helped us get through all steps. The roof looks good after replacement. The stuffs are very friendly. Recommend for people with the need.

All aspects of this project were performed in a professional, courteous, timely and efficient manner. Work on my project was performed by a large crew who were absolutely incredible. Installation and cleanup were completed in 3 days. The new roof and flashing looks spectacular. I really enjoyed working with MG's Roofing staff and their installation crew. I would certainly recommend MG's Roofing to others and I am a person who expects perfection and honesty. I got both!

MG's Roofing is a very good company to do business with. It was a pleasure to correspond with Christian, Chris and. Matt. A better timely communication within the group could have enhanced the interactions. The work crews did an excellent job in clearing, replacing the high quality shingles. After the job was completed, I was very impressed on how thorough the cleanup went. I would highly recommend this company for a timely, highly efficient and qualitative service to be rendered.

MG's did a fantastic job reroofing my home. The price was right, and turnaround time to get it started and completed were extremely quick! The finished product was everything I expected, and more. They always answered any questions I had immediately when I reached out to them by phone or email. I would recommend these guys highly!

I met Christian through a Divine appointment, only I didn't recognize it until later on. Through the help of Christian and his knowledge of how things work and flow, it was determined that my roof had sustained wind and hail damage from a storm that came through in June of 2023. Christian assisted me in how to file a claim with my insurance company, and from there, pretty much carried the ball in the whole restoration process.
From the inspection of the roof, to the choosing of the shingles to the installation, clean up and final closeout, this process has been virtually painless for me. Anytime I had questions or concerns, Christian or Chris were readily available to answer and assist for quick resolution.
I really want to acknowledge the crew who did the roof repairs. I was rushing out to meet my daily demands as they were coming in to set up and begin. They were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable and the end result left me amazed. At the risk of sounding a bit melodramatic, the roof looks MAJESTIC. Seriously, if you stood in front of my home and looked at what is around me, you would say the same thing.
Let me also notate that in less than two weeks of meeting Christian, the restoration work had begun!
I will conclude without apology for a wordy review that I highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. These folk operate with a spirit of excellence and they back up what they tell you they will do. That's called "integrity" and it's something sorely missing in this day and time.

Chris and Christian were a delight to work with. Received an awesome roof and once completed the scene was cleaner than before:: HIGHLY recommend MG'S Roofing to any and all!

We had them do a new roof on a garage back in October 2022. They were supposed to repair an area on the main house, which they were paid to do, but still, as of April 2023, have not. I contacted them several times and was given a run around by Christian every single time. I was told that Matt, the owner, would contact me, but he never did and each time i tried to reach him he was either out of town or on vacation. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

I received a notice from MGs Roofing in November stating that I could get a new roof installed due to hail damage at no cost through insurance. My overall experience was not the greatest.

TLDR:
If you decide to use this company, expect a company that is there to get your claim accepted, collect your money, and contract the job out to others. Any extra materials, such as plywood replacement, will come out of pocket and not insurance ($130/board – they won’t tell you these details until after the contract is signed). Even though they are the “roofing experts”, don’t expect them to point out any issues that could cause damage later.
My advice after this experience is to fill out the insurance claim on your own (it is SUPER easy and self-explanatory). Don’t sign anything that will lock you in with a specific company. Your insurance will send out an adjuster, and if your claim is approved, you can typically vet your local roofing companies and pick the one that feels right to you, without being locked in to one that’s subpar.

The initial meeting, they will walk you through your insurance claim and will have you sign a contract agreement locking you into their company, should your claim be approved.
The claim was accepted, and they were quick to finalize the agreement and have you pick colors, etc to get you on the “install list”. The roof install, at least in my case, was subcontracted out to a different company (Duran Construction), which finished in a day (1500sqft home). They showed up unannounced with no warning.

Upon inspection of the roof, I had several issues.

One of the rake edges was completely crooked and the craftsmanship was poor. There were pieces of shingle hanging off, some not fully cut, and were totally misaligned. When I raised this issue, I was told they would come back to correct it the next day. However, they ended up being no shows, and it took over a week to speak with the owner. They finally came a few days later and attempted to correct the issue; however, the condition ended up worse than before. Now, I am left with a roof edge that overlaps 1.5 inches at the top and a half inch at the bottom, which is visually unappealing and remains crooked.

Second major issue, no drip edge. Drip edge is not required by NC code but is recommended to prevent rot along your fascia boards and to prevent water intrusion. Without the drip edge, I have large gaps (over 1 inch in size) between my roofing plywood and fascia boards where water, bees, and anything else that wants to can easily make their way into my home. These gaps can be seen visually without even moving the shingles.
I received a second opinion from a local roofing company, and they informed me that I should have been advised of this issue before installation. I would have been able to contact my insurance company and request drip edge be added to my claim, but I was not made aware of this issue beforehand. I noted my concern to Matt, the owner, and received a typical “sorry, we'll be better next time” feedback with no attempts to remediate the issue.

We had storm damage from an October storm. Niko was the best to work with, he took care of us. I was so impressed with the whole process from start to finish. The crew cleaned everything up. Left nothing as far as nails or trash in our yard. Highly recommend

After storm damage on April 7 22, Christian from Mg's roofing of NC, met me at my house to discuss damage. We called to file a claim immediately.
Matt met with the insurance adjuster, who approved the the roof replacement. MG's roofing replaced our roof as they said they would. They were professional, and very responsive to all my questions.
The roofing crew was experienced and worked from 6am to 8pm to complete the job in one day! They did a great job cleaning up the job site afterwards.

I contacted MG Roofing for an estimate. They came out, didn't check my problem, and suggested I file a claim with my insurance. They stopped by to assist me with entering the claim, provided a storm date (I informed them of a recent leak in my house, but he insisted I give them date from the previous year 2020), and how to respond. This being my first experience, I followed as directed. They schedule to come out when the insurance company came out a little over a week later. My leak was spreading; the insurance company asked me to request the roofers cover the roof. They would not and assured me that everything would be okay.
The insurance company came and roofers... there was no hail or wind damage as the roofers swore there would be, and according to my insurance company, I now have a request claim listed for life.
I was beyond upset with this company. I wanted to identify the leak source, and I needed a quote to repair the issue. The level of frustration was beyond me.
Please require this company to investigate before calling your insurance company. It may not be necessary to file a claim.
Back to the drawing board for me finding someone to repair my chimney valley (the actual cause of the leak, I’ve learned).

I am very pleased with the service that I received from MG’s Roofing. MG’s did an excellent job representing me with my insurance adjuster because a storm damaged my roof. I think having a roofer present during the inspection was very important. I did not have to be there. The salesperson was very professional. The owner of the company likewise was professional, meeting with me to discuss the price and to pick out shingles. The salesperson and the owner did a good job communicating with me to coordinate the work. The sale process was low pressure, and I think the price was good. The installers left my yard clean, and I have not found any debris. The entire process took only a week. I am very happy with the way my roof looks! I highly recommend MG’s roofing.

Like so many of our neighbors we suffered damage to the roof, siding and gutters from the May 2019 hail storm. We chose MG's Roofing because they are local, licensed, insured and offered a very good warranty on their work. Even though their name just says roofing they were able to take care of the siding and the gutters in addition to the roof. We needed some metal work done on our garage door which was not part of the hail damage and was done at a fair price and within the same time frame as the insurance work. The work was done quickly and professionally, they covered my deck and my shrubs to avoid damage and cleaned up as they went along. Even though the job took two days, they did not leave a mess in my yard after the first day. Overall we are very satisfied with the work and the communication from Matt. We would definitely recommend Matt and his team.
