Tried to get a quote from them for 2 weeks for a standing seam roof. Each time I followed up, their estimating manager said she would get back to me. After following up with her 3 times and not receiving even a contact of who was going to work on this quote, I decided to source this work elsewhere.

To begin, the co-owners, exhibit behavior that is unprofessional. One of them routinely expects his assistants to perform personal tasks, such as cutting his food (which I have witnessed) demonstrating his unrealistic expectations of employees.
The HR/Office Manager, is no better. She has cycled through multiple HR professionals in a short period of time. This high turnover speaks volumes about the dysfunction within the HR department. During my brief time at the company, I was given almost no training. Their version of training consists of passing comments rather than structured, instructive guidance. When I brought this up as a concern during my termination, she gaslighted me by insisting that I had been trained, despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Speaking of my termination, I was fired after only three weeks without any clear explanation or feedback. Despite asking repeatedly what I had done wrong, the only response I received was, “It’s just not working out.” A current employee in leadership later explained that my termination was likely related to my befriending coworkers and listening to their concerns about the toxic environment.
The company’s work environment is riddled with nepotism, backstabbing and manipulation.
Another concerning issue is the culture of manipulation and gaslighting among the leadership team. The owner’s executive assistant acts as his enforcer, handling his unpleasant tasks while her husband, who also works at the company, plays both sides by complaining about the owner while criticizing coworkers behind their backs. He directly stated, in front of me and several others, that the owners’ sons are ill-equipped to eventually take over the business and that this is well-known among the staff. This creates a toxic dynamic that undermines any sense of trust or teamwork.
I witnessed leadership openly mocking several employees and managers, which creates a hostile work environment where employees are belittled and ridiculed behind their backs.
Finally, the company’s micromanagement practices are excessive. Employees are required to document their work activities on a spreadsheet and update it three times a day, broken down into one-hour increments. This level of scrutiny is not only unnecessary but adds to the overall atmosphere of fear. The HR Manager even admitted to me that she walks around every few hours to "catch" employees doing something wrong, which only serves to increase anxiety and paranoia among staff.
In summary, I strongly advise potential candidates to avoid this company. The leadership’s abusive behavior, lack of accountability, and toxic work environment create a place where employees are constantly looking over their shoulders, fearful of retaliation or arbitrary terminations. The lack of proper training, rampant nepotism, and gaslighting by management make this one of the most dysfunctional and unprofessional workplaces I have ever experienced.
