Customer feedback for Melvin T Morgan Roofing is mixed, with a notable divide between positive and negative experiences. Many customers praise the company's professionalism, prompt service, and fair pricing, detailing satisfying roofing installations. Customers express frustration over unmet commitments and lack of responsiveness, particularly when addressing post-service issues. This inconsistency in customer service and communication severely affects the overall perception of the company.
- Very professional group, tear off and new roof, flashing etc.
- Great business. My roof was leaking and they were able to send someone within an hr.
- Incredible experience and execution, my roof looks fantastic now.
- The whole process from start to finish is a joy.
- Never received an estimate after the estimator came out.
- They stripped the roof and left it open to pouring down rain.
- I have had 4 phone calls and still no one has come to see the problem.
- Debbie one of the owner's is very unprofessional.

Very professional group , tear off and new roof, flashing etc. They were here two days and a great turn key roof install. Highly, did I say Highly recommend Melvin T Morgan Roofing. Fair prices and very competitive.

I hired Melvin T Morgan to do a repair that I thought was simple. I could have done it myself; however I thought let's just hire someone else to do it so I can take care of other responsibilities.
The proposal looked great and it looked as if they were going to resolve the issue in a way that matched documents and videos I have seen online.
The proposal stated the following:
1. We will patch 3 rust spots with 6 inch fabric and Sherwin Williams brush-able roof repair (They did one patch and did not use Sherwin Williams roof repair over the patch and the areas where the patch overlapped the roof. This resulted in water infiltration and more rust.).
2. We will paint Silver with a 4 inch brush. (They painted the one patch applied and it looks like they painted over the other areas of rust without patching them. Look back at item 1. Three patches were supposed to be applied!)
3. We will clean the work area of all debris (You did a great job here. I didn’t see any mess at all. It’s easy to clean up something when you barely do the work you proposed. You get a cardboard cookie for this).
4. All work will be done in a professional manner. (The work was not completed.)
The cost for the proposal was 773.00 to repair 3 areas with rust. This is a really high estimate. I decided to hire you because I didn't have time to do it myself. Little did I know I could do it 100 times better.
I want to ask the following:
- What could I have done to ensure that your employee did the job correctly?
- Should I have not paid you knowing that there would possibly be a problem?
- Should I have gone on the roof with them and counted 3 patches applied to the areas you proposed?
Here are some names that work with MTMR.
- Melvin T Maybe Roofing… isn’t something we are good at.
-Melvin T Maybe Rolling … to another job as soon as possible and will cut corners. Take a look at the review from Jason Wills, a former employee.
- Melvin T Manipulating Rust … by hiding it under no patch and just coating it with silver paint. (Note: that’s a silly thing to do. Similar to applying paint to a hole on a wall instead of patching it.)
- Melvin T Maybe Read ... the proposal you sent and do the job accordingly.
A picture is worth 1000 words.
Your 3 most recent reviews are horrible.
It seems that one of your previous employees reviewed your company stating that you cut corners. I believe this now and wish I saw this before hiring you.
A few reviews state that you are bad with customer service. I am certain of that.
There’s a lot of positive reviews with little detail. Negative reviews seem to have a lot of details…interesting.
My responsible homeowner sense is tingling and I am telling you that you can find a better roofing company that takes responsibility for bad work.

Asked for estimate for patch and replace. Estimator came out November 17, looked at roof but never left the ladder or went inside house attic. Said he’d take measurements and send estimate. Never received. A month later (last week) I tried calling over 30 min period and got busy signal each time. Still no estimate.

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
