We had an excellent experience working with Stephen McNally and the team he put in place for our home remodel. We purchased a fully carpeted split level home that had not been updated since 1966. Our daily communication was excellent, and Stephen never left us wondering about an answer to a question or a comment. He was timely, patient, informative and we believe he knew exactly how to work with us as customers. We relied on his expertise in several instances. We did a lot of work -- the entire interior was painted including closets and ceilings. We tore up all the carpeting and discovered original wood floors which were refinished and now look new. We installed brand new flooring in several rooms as well. We removed the old kitchen to the studs and Stephen presented designs for our new kitchen which we watched evolve into exactly what we wanted. We replaced a 12 foot picture window in the great room, had asbestos abatement completed in one area, installed new recessed ceiling lighting, tore out an old sink in the laundry room and modernized the all the washer/dryer connections. If you're considering hiring a general contractor, you should definitely give McNally's a call.

Had some electrical fixes in my older house. Excellent timely service and a pleasant electrician who explained everything. Working with McNally's is nice since they have access to talent in anything you need in the house.

Incredibly professional. We've done some big home improvement projects with McNally's and we are always impressed. We've also called on them in emergency situations - like when the ceiling was falling in - and they responded with speed and skill. They are our go-to for everything.

Steve has done so many projects to maintain our house since 2018. He is recommended to me by my fellow church goer, Evelyn (that says a lot!) so I know how dependable, fair and most of all, how he does excellent work... Be it outside ---fixing our fences, the walls of our house, replacing the shutters, putting handle bars in my mother's bathroom so she doesn't fall and just making our house in tip-top condition. We called Steve about a leaky toilet in our 90-year-old tiled bathroom. Mitigation involved going through the kitchen ceiling, a job our regular plumber would not handle. Steve found the best men to open the ceiling, fix the problem, and repair the ceiling at a reasonable cost and with the least amount of inconvenience to us. We have appreciated the many jobs Steve has done for us over the years.

We need had painting and a variety of home repairs needed to be completed on a tight schedule. MMM was responsive and professional. Thanks to his team we got our house ready to sell and it sold at a price exceeding our expectations.

I've known Stephen for a number of years. He's done many projects for me including electrical and plumbing. Recently he and his crew have completed a major project getting my house ready for sale. This included upgrading the basement, painting upstairs, removing built ins , carpentry and electrical and flooring.

We had to replace large window and area around it that had significant water damage due to bad installation by a previous contractor. We were very pleased with the prompt service, problem solving and attention to detail from the courteous crew of McNally's Modern Maintenance. Had a crew in to do 2 rooms....the original plan was to sheetrock over the plaster walls because we thought the plaster had cracked (it was wallpapered over) They managed to save the plaster walls, resulting in a lower cost and less work time, yay! They were also gracious enough to save a part of the wallpaper that my Dad (who passed away a few years age) had put up over 20 years ago.

Over the years I have used several different contractors/handymen in the West Hartford area but McNallys is definitely the best experience I have had. They did some renovations to my garage (new interior walls and paint) and it was very well done and at a very fair price. Communication was great every step of the way. The total cost actually ended up being less than the estimated cost. Honesty like that is not something you always get with contractors. I will definitely be using McNallys again for future home improvement projects.

My mother and I have been using Stephen and his crew for many, many years. I went to School with Stephen and have known him since we were both in the seventh grade attending Watkinson School. Stephen and his crew of very professional workers, have helped me, and my mother especially, keep the house in tact. McNally's is always there for us! Even if it's Christmas Day night and our foyer ceiling is leaking, or our pipes have frozen on a freezing cold day, or we have ice dams, or we just bought a new house only to discover neither our cars don't fit in the garage, or "All of the Above"! And the great-idea projects we have done together over the years - a beautiful new kitchen with enlarged windows overlooking the golf course, an expanded family room and garage-entrance mud room, and a new full bath for our lower level rec room.
