I've had Highland install windows in my house on two different occasions now, one of which was over 10 years ago, so I have the benefit of multiple interactions and a long time to see how their work holds up over time.

Marc was great! Easy to work with, kept to a precise schedule and great installation work. The guys came in, installed the windows and cleaned up after themselves. Plus I had an independent inspector come in after the installation (part of the loan process) and he said everything was installed exactly as it should be. Lastly, Marc's guys inspected every window for manufacturing defects (something I didn't think about) and actually found three that had minor scratches inside the glass layers. They ordered replacements promptly and had them shipped directly to the house. I can't say enough good things about Marc, I've worked with independent contractors for my entire career and he's truly in that top 1% that offers the right products at fair prices along with quality installation. From our first conversation with Marc, we were sold. Our entire experience, from the initial consultation through to the installation yesterday was personal, warm, reasonable, and transparent. There was no dramatic sell, price that disappears when they walk out the door, fear mongering about our existing windows, etc, it was simply a great product, at a great price, with a great team. Marc was a pleasure to talk to in the early project stages and the team that was in our home yesterday for the install was equally pleasant and efficient. What was supposed to be a simple one day window and door replacement turned into a 2.5 day construction job when they found water damage and rotten boards around the old door. I can’t rave highly enough about our experience with Mark, Neal and the whole Highland Window team. We contacted Mark in December to get a quote for replacing our original (1967) windows. His quote was competitive, and he was honest about what we did and did not need to replace. We signed with Mark quickly after the quote and expected the new windows to come in April. I am replacing my windows and looking for project cost for my home. The sales rep was here 2 mins and tells me he is not interested in the project. What company says no thank you all the other companies were excited to show there products and what they could do for us.

I waited almost 4 weeks for an appointment. The day before my appointment the scheduler called and wanted to change the window cleaning to the next afternoon. I had my very young grandchildren that day and said that I couldn't. She said she would call me right back. 24 hours later I called again trying to make an appointment. A different scheduler said she needed to talk to Michael and would call me right back. That was June 24..today is July 1st and I haven't received a call. I'm have an appointment with Nick at Buena Vista cleaning tomorrow.

I worked with Marc to get a side door replaced. It was a fiasco. Some of the blame was Highland's, some was the door supplier and some was mine. Wrong door, wrong color, wrong screen door, you name it, it happened. BUT Marc was supportive and on top of every issue that occurred. In the end, even though he may have lost money on my job, he made it right. So while it was a long and stressful job, I was a happy customer at the end and I'll continue to give them my business and recommend them to others.

Highland Window just completed installation of replacement windows throughout our entire home. The house was custom built in 1971 and all windows had to be custom ordered due to their shape and size. I had several quotes before choosing Highland including a couple of companies that seemed intimidated by the job. Marc walked us step by step through what we could expect as he oversaw a new roof, new windows (18), a new front door, new siding & soffits, and new gutters and downspouts.

Each of the four different crews that came for each stage of the project were professional, polite, and skilled. Cleanup was done daily and hardly impacted our daily routine.

Marc was out on the site very often throughout the process and answered all questions and concerns.

We actually had one minor glitch on the project when a manufacturer sent a wrongly sized part for the storm door frame. Definitely still deserves five stars as Marc stayed on top of it and communicated to us regularly until it was resolved perfectly.

Highland Window Company just finished installing 30 windows in our 1931 Dutch Cape, and we couldn’t be happier!

Several years ago, we had a different window company come to our house, take over three hours to give an estimate and the salesman would not leave unless we signed the contract, (the estimate was over $30K. ). We had to tell him to leave. It was not a good experience, so we did not pursue further until we reached a point where a stiff breeze was blowing through our living room last January.

Our experience with Highland , specifically with owner Marc Cowan, was completely different. Marc spent 45 minutes chatting with us and looking around our house, showing us a beautiful sample window and giving us an incredibly reasonable estimate. He was so charming and personable, we didn’t want him to leave! No pressure, just a great quality window from an honest and kind business owner.

Highland had our windows manufactured and installed within a month. The crew (Neil, Hilton and Tom) were neat, skillful, professional and gracious, installing 20 windows day one!!! They left our house cleaner than when they arrived.

Highland Windows just completed replacing 9 windows in our 4 bedrooms. We chose the Harvey Majesty windows, as these seemed the best at matching our colonial house. The overall job was six weeks from order to completed installation, which was great. The install took two days, and the workers cleaned everything up quite well each day. During the installation, we asked them to do a couple extra things for us, which they were happy to accommodate! Overall a great job at a fair price (we shopped around before we picked Highland). Great company to work with.

Affordable price and super professional installation. Marc came to our house to give us an estimation and walked with us in and around the house several times to make sure all we need is covered and to assure that we are in sync. After saving us money on things we thought we need and didn't really, Marc gave us an estimation for the entire house. After the windows were manufactured for our house Highland company installed the windows in a no less than perfect way, while making sure that the insulation is perfect and that we are happy in every step they make. No compromise on any of the installation steps or quality - the team cleaned daily during and after they finished their work, collected the old fixtures and left a clean house with new windows, installed to perfection. Okay I have used Marc and his crew twice, once for Windows then my patio door. He is so responsive, caring and his crew is amazing. I just can't say enough about it because as a single Mom with 2 kids he worked with me pricing, install and professional.
My Windows had problem he came out immediately and replaced the sash and called window supplier right on spot.
I had many come in for quotes he was the only one I felt was honest fair and no smoke and mirrors. Sears, Lowes etc can't compare!

We met with Marc last year and began discussing residing our historic home as well as replacing 21 windows. After speaking with several contractors, we knew we would work with Marc when we were ready to complete this project. We have had Highland Window Company do work in our home a couple of times. The first install they did for us was a tricky one where we had to replace a huge living room window that was original to the 1950's home. Marc, the owner spent time with me going over all the options to fill the space. For me the most important detail was to keep the "big" window feel of the original. Marc came up with the perfect solution and in reality upgraded the functionality of the space (now we have side windows that really open and close.). A couple of years later we decided to upgrade all the 1950's windows around the house and once again Highland Window was our go to vendor and installers. As someone who has grown up in the world of home construction and remodeling I appreciate that the Highland Window team is beyond courteous, respectful of the space they are working in, and when they finish they leave the space clean. UNTIL the install was completed. I have left several voice messages in the last SEVEN months trying to resolve a lingering issue. I have never received a call back.

We had all our windows and doors replaced in 2007. Marc the owner is knowledgeable and not a pushy businessman. The guys who do the installation are professional and courteous.
