McMurray and Sons Roofing

There are several good roofing companies in Central Oregon. This is not one of them. They did not show up on time, sometimes they didn't show up at all, they installed the roof incorrectly, and it leaked. Dave McMurray came and looked at the roof and blamed his supplier for furnishing the wrong material. McMurray said he would "make it right." I finally ended up paying a portion of the full amount just to get rid of the company. Stay away from these guys.

The crew was punctual, courteous, and hard working. They did a great job re-roofing our garage in Ferndale, and their clean-up afterward was very thorough. We highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again.

We just completed a full re-roofing with McMurray, Having dealt with several contractors locally, we were pleasantly surprised when they did exactly what they said they would. Job started on time and even with additional work, they finished in a timely manner. The price was very reasonable. The crew was professional and courteous, very pleasant to have around our home. We actually enjoyed dealing everyone from Jesse and Christina to the polite gentlemen who did the roof work. We recommend them highly.

We were assured that no leakage would happen while reroofing our house during any rain we might get. We had three days of leaking into our house. Permanent water stains all over our ceiling and ceiling beams. Even when we called and told them they were unable to stop the leaking. We do not recommend them.

I just read all of the great reviews & couldn't believe that there weren't more bad reviews. I'm looking for a roofer now for someone else & just wanted to compare Google review ratings. Just to balance things out a little, here's mine. Two years ago we hired McMurray & Sons to re-roof our whole house. Not going to take the time to go into detail, I will just say that there were numerous major mistakes made. If I hadn't been watching them, there would have been more. After some trouble, I was able to get most of the problems fixed to a semi-satisfactory degree (far from complete satisfaction). Won't ever use, or recommend, them again.

In looking at the reviews again, I noticed that most of the negative reviews were from a couple of years ago. Maybe they finally got their s*^t together. Still: fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Recently we had a full roof installation with McMurray and Sons in Bend. Brian came out and did a very thorough pre review of our room and explained in a way we could understand why we needed the new roof and the cost benefit of it. The crew came out on time and did a great job. The follow up man, Jessie, came out and reviewed the work the crew did and did an amazing review of the work. He found all the little things that were missed, took photos and showed them to us and then fixed then. He is a true professional! Thanks to everyone on the crew for a job well done!

I install solatubes in Central Oregon and I've seen at least 10,000 roofs. Anytime it's a McMurray and sons job it's perfect. they will not be the cheapest and they will not be the most expensive or they will simply be the best every time.

We are so relieved to have the two and a half feet of snow removed from our roof. The crew worked very hard with wonderful attitudes.. When we called to schedule in a panic, the scheduler was very kind and got someone here quickly. I highly recommend this roofing company.

Had our roof installed by McMurray&Sons and was not disappointed. We encountered an unforeseen issue with my home and McMurray&Sons handled it like the pros. Roof was done on time. They also slapped a roof on my pump house at no extra charge since I ordered some extra bundles so I could roof it myself. Saved me a lot of time and effort. Would recommend to anyone.

To whom it may concern,

I have to say, I am a little more than disappointed in your customer service being that I never heard back from you or your company because I simply needed your proposal broke down with materials vs labor as the insurance requested. This leads me to believe that your company is price gouging its customers after the terrible winter. You're right up there with River Roofing.

Please know that you have lost a long standing customer that has been in this area for over 30+ years which has brought your company over a hundred thousand dollars in the past 5-7 years and you now ruined the possibility of over a million dollar project. We manage Homeowner's Associations and we're in the process of a 5 year project with 49 homes needing to be reroofed. This has now been outsourced to a highly communicative self-driven roofer from the coast. I am truly disappointed in the level of service roofing contractors have shown this town after the devastating winter. We're supposed to come together as a community.

Please also know we manage over 4,000.00 Homes in Bend and give daily recommendations on Contractors when people call. You will no longer be on that list.

I recently had several projects done by McMurray and Sons roofing and would highly recommend them for any roofing tasks. My projects included installing a skylight, replacing a single-ply roof section, and fixing a leaking roof.
