Bay Flats replaced our old roof quickly after a hurricane. All of the details were made clear up front. The crew arrived early and began work immediately. The perimeter of the house was draped with tarps to collect debris. Communication was maintained throughout the day to provide updates on any unexpected issues. The new roof looks great!

We needed more attic venting than our 3' ridge vent was providing. I called Richard & right away he was ready to help me. The very next day at 9am his guy showed up. He got on my roof, looked it over & took pictures. Richard sent them right to me & explained the issues with the caulk around my existing pipes. He fixed those issues & put in some vents within 4 hours he was finished. Richard & his team were very nice & easy to work with. The next time we need a project taken care of we are calling him first.

I called Bayflats because I had some damage during a storm. The insurance company closed my claim and I had to fight to reopen it, the process took a year. Richard, the owner, and his step son Michael were so knowledgeable and professional, they stepped in and helped me fight the last couple of months. In the end, I had a new fence and a new roof. I reached out to four different companies through their websites. Out of the four only two responded the same day, one responded two days later and the other not at all. One of the other companies told me that they wouldn't be able to come out for two weeks to give me an estimate. With Bay flats they called me the same day, had some one out the next day for measurements, and the day after that out to install. I worked with Richard to get everything set up, he was very polite and professional. The installers got with me to see how I wanted things to look and gave me the options that would work. They did a clean professional looking install in a timely manner. Overall I am please with the quality, craftsmanship and price this company provided. I really liked the service I was treated very respectfully. I really like that; a lot of the time because I'm a female I get treated like I don't know what I'm talking about and most of the time get a high quote because of it. It's different with BayFlats the project manager Richard went with my schedule he didn't rush me into making a decision. He answered any doubts I had made me feel comfortable and quoted me a fair price. Cheaper than any other roofing company!! Absolutely love the roof and love that the vents BayFlats installed were color matched to the shingles. Very fast work they were done about 3 hours and hauled the trash away. Also appreciated the sweep to pick up any nails that might of fallen; I got dogs so that was super awesome. Needless to say very professional company and I recommend it especially if you need the work done now and Mr. Richard along with all the workers are friendly.

Very happy with Bay Flats! We have a new build home (2020) and had a sudden roof leak. We called Bay Flats Saturday morning and they were out that same day. The project manager Michael was thorough and honest with us. They had us scheduled for repairs the following Monday and the owner came by himself to inspect the work when it was done. We have had no problems with the work. We have had so much rain and there has not been a single issue. Super happy with this company and will return with all our roofing needs!

I askes for 3 quotes from different sources; the detailed quote from Bay Flats Roofing & Construction was submitted to me via email and then a hard copy was delivered in person as a follow-up to go over material specs, personnel, job scope, and a timeline of start-to-completion. I got a reference for Richard Felty's company by a close friend of mine. While I had three other quotes, I decided to go with the Bay Flats because of reasonable pricing and impression I got from interacting with Richard. I never felt pressured or unclear about any aspect of work. Richard kindly assisted in reviewing the insurance claim estimate, securing the HOA approval and municipal permit. The roof replacement has been completed in one day, as promised. During times, when many of us often feel uneasy (to say the least) dealing with contractors, the whole process with Bay Flats was quite pleasurable and predictable. I wanted to thank Michael from Bay Flats Roofing, I was trying to get quotes on my roof due to insurance. My insurance wanted to drop us immediately due to missing shingles, we were able to get our house covered but our roof was not covered so it was very worrisome because a bad storm could come by and mess up our roof and our roof would not being covered its not something I wanted. Michael reached out to me gave me quote which was better then the last quote I got but I was still trying to look at next year for a whole new roof. Michael was able to help me out and understood my financial situation . I got it done this Monday and Michael leading up to the day he made sure to communicate everything that was going on if we were on track and to let me know when the roofing materials would be dropped off. I was not home when the roof was being done but my mom was home and Michael gave me updates on how it was going and I even got pictures of the progress. Once again thank you Mr Michael for explaining on the importance of trying to get my roof fixed sooner rather then later because it could be worse next year. This is my first experience with Bay Flats Roofing and a VERY good one at that!

My wife and I manage a rental house and we received a call from our tenant after it rained one day. He noticing water damage to the drywall which I quickly found out was coming from the roof. Water was coming in around the chimney and seeping into the dry wall area of the bedroom.

In a panic I called everyone that I knew to see if I can get a recommendation as this is an industry of dishonest people (from my experience).

I had found this company because they did work for my brother in law and he recommended I reach out to Richard. My Impression of him was that he was not going to up sell me on anything we didn’t need. He was direct and honest and this is a quality I look for in any contractor.

Richard sent his guys out the very next day and shortly after emailed me two quotes. One was the minimal and most inexpensive way to resolve my immediate issue and the second was adding a few preventative options to make sure we avoid this again in other areas of the roof.

They came out and fixed my roof after I gave him the green light and they did a very good job (even sent me before/after pics). About a week after it was fixed up there was a small issue that was out of their hands that they came and fixed right away. At this point some contractors would have bailed now that they were paid.

I’m very happy with Bay Flats Roofing’s commitment to taking care of the customer and will be using this company (and specifically Richard) for any roof issues going forward.

Bay Flats Roofing installed a roof on my house Monday, they did an excellent professional job, They were at my house for 5 hours total. They removed the old shingles, replaced with new, all trim, clean up including a nail magnet stick that picked up all the nails, they had a blower and cleaned the roof all the sidewalk driveway everything hauled all the debri away, it looked like no one had been there in only 5 hours time. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great job!
