We went in on Sat. 3/22. We drove down from the Northeast Kingdom. Jash was very helpful answering our questions. We test drove a Mazda CX-9 and it was a really nice car, but it didn't wow us as much as the Subaru Outback did. Although we didn't buy a car here, but we had an excellent experience at the dealership. I would recommend the dealership for anyone looking for a new or used quality vehicle. This dealership was easy to deal with they gave me up front pricing from the very begining and I didnt have to negotiate whatsoever. However when I arrived to sign papers the agreed upon payment was higher due to an incorrect sales tax percentage inputted in the system. but the General Sales Mgr who is an absolute stand up guy advised the finance Dept to go with my original agreed upon payment. The general Sales MGR Craig Stevens greeted me at the door and was a professional and gentleman just an old school business man that was great to deal with. My issue was when I got my vehicle home and unloaded it from the trailer It was def not serviced. The carfax said it was serviced on 3/10/25 prior to me picking it up on 3/14 but not only was it in 4wheel drive, like someone was driving it that way but the engine compartment was covered in dust and dirt indicating the oil cap was never touched. Also the correct mileage was 71 miles not 13 also indicating it was never touched. The 3rd indicator was my oil life was at 0 percent. It was just very discouraging to get a $56k vehicle and thats what i uncover when i got home. Other than that I love my jeep

This is my 2nd lease through McGee and I have been very happy each time. The sales people are so genuine, kind and helpful. As well as the service department. My current lease was done so quickly and painlessly. I love my new wrangler but even more the staff. Would highly recommend.

Towed in Saturday afternoon after overheating on I-89 and left key in service envelope. Was called @ 7:10 Monday morning & fit in without a prior appointment. Picked up repaired car by 4.

Made a trade for a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee at McGee CDJR in Barre. Worked with Rob as salesman. What a totally great experience. From the time I walked in the door until I left with my new car was under two hours.

One of, if not the very best car buying experiences I’ve ever had in my 47 years of car shopping. I would send anyone I know there, and will seriously consider returning in a few years time.

Smaller dealership, still a lot going on. Went here cuz they had a tundra and I was looking at tundras. Got Tyler Harper as my salesman and he was new, but nice and efficient and had a good support staff behind him. The sales manager though, (I think he was), was helpful but classic salesman belittling me and my "little Subaru" for trade in value. however aside from that comment his concerns were valid and still agreed to my asking trade in price so all's fair there, just the nature of the game. I will say, and maybe it was just me, but they didn't try to sell you on dealer add ons or services which was refreshing. Tyler Harper's a good guy, genuinely wanted to help me get into a new vehicle, if they got something you want ask for him, less time wasted on fluff stuff.

Knowledgeable and patient sales team helped with the purchase of a Jeep Sahara. No pressure, staff was very responsive to emails negotiating payment options and provided fair pricing!

Jonnah is always extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, always providing a detailed explanation and making the service experience quite enjoyable.

Cost me an arm and a leg but that's not their fault. Excellent communication through the process, great follow ups and questions, best service I've experienced dealing with miserable repairs. Jonnah doesn't get paid enough for this, but highly recommend.

Our car died randomly on Saturday and everything blew up. Managed to get it to the dealership. They correctly knew what was wrong without me even needing an inspection, but I insisted on one. They were correct in the first place, and if I had listened I wouldn’t have had to pay the stupid tax. I was hostile due to other stress and they remained calm and collected.

Maximum respect for their professionalism in the face of a hostile and stressed soon to be second time parent.

If you are looking for a new vehicle this is the place. To start I was denied time after time but they got me approved in a wicked nice jeep with low interest and have done nothing but take care of me since I got it. I had some concerns regarding the vehicle they took it into their shop and did a full inspection for free. About a month after purchasing it the windshield which was chipped when I purchased it cracked across and they are getting that replaced for me. The sales manager is incredibly helpful and they truly do care about their customers.

I was looking online for new Ram 1500 truck leases and I liked a couple of Ram 1500's on the lot of McGee CDJR of Barre. I spoke with Ali online, the online sales manager and she brought me through the entire process of leasing a new Ram and she was very thorough, from getting me in a Ram I was interested in, to getting information on my trade in, to my lease payment amount with a few options and all I had to do was go in the next day and sign papers pretty much. Rob took over at the dealership to go through everything with the truck, then he turned me over to another person to sign the papers and explain the lease with me as this was my 1st ever lease. All in all, it was a great experience with everyone at McGee CDJR, thank you!!

The last thing I would ever do again is buy a car at this place. Starting right from the sales process on, they first tried to sell us a smoked in vehicle which we refused, they couldn’t complete the paperwork due to an error on their end and it took them months to get us the proper paperwork. It took almost 4 months to get plates of our own for the vehicle again due to their error. They wanted the trade really badly so convinced us to take the new one and leave the trade even though it had just been received by them and they hadn’t done the full inspection of the vehicle. They assured us they would take care of the manifold and other problems the vehicle had at the time of purchase to which we have a written agreement. OVER A YEAR LATER when the vehicle was due for another inspection they still had not gotten it in. They tried to get us to drive it the almost 2 hours to them and we told them they could pick it up. They brought us an SUV for a rental in trade for a truck during hunting season. Just over a month after getting the truck back “repaired” and inspected its leaking fluid from the rear end which they claimed to have fix. We have three vehicles and buy new vehicles about once every two years and I’ll never give this place my business again. And if you value your time and your money you shouldn’t either.

My husband made an online service appointment as he needed a check engine light fixed and he had some rattling under his jeep. He received his confirmation email and then a couple days later a phone call to say they needed to reschedule because it needed to be dropped off instead of a specific appointment, even though check engine can be checked off on the online scheduler. He also told the person he knew the diagnostic code as he already had two auto mechanics diagnose but they weren’t equipped to do the work as they’re not dealers. He even wrote in the code but was told we have to check it ourselves. He dropped it off this morning and again told the person that called him midday saying the most important is to get the check engine light off. He arrives to pick up the car a few hours later to find a $400 bill and no work done! The two mechanics that diagnosed the engine light prior maybe took ten minutes and this place charged almost $160 for an hour to diagnose and another $160 for another hour to diagnose a rattle! Most places I’ve ever been to for diagnostics plugs in their computer and a code pops up. He was then told they could order parts and schedule service. Are you kidding me? Collaborate rides to get to and from work as this dealership is almost an hour from us? My husband will take his business elsewhere and would never recommend this place to anyone!

Update: The reply said to call the General Manager which my husband did twice and never got a return phone call. He called on Monday with no reply and then again Tuesday where he was told he has your number and will call you this week. Today is Saturday 11/23 and has not heard any response at all. If I could leave 0 stars I would!

They were efficient and very helpful. Specially Scott was super friendly and easy to communicate. I will strongly recommend this dealer.

McGee’s Service team was phenomenal. They took care of my warranty due to a drivetrain issue with my jeep gladiator. They were phenomenal and keeping constant contact with me throughout the entire process of the warranty and the service and went over everything through each step. Highly recommend them to anyone else

Hands down the worst experience I've ever had trying to buy a truck. Truck was filthy even though they new I was coming a day in advance and they'd had it almost a month. It needed mechanical work they knew about but said they were not going to perform unless someone agreed to buy. All I kept hearing was they wanted to send it to auction and that's why it was not reconned or fixed. After agreeing to purchase I had to call multiple times over 3 days to get a hold of someone to find out when I could come back and get it.

Huge red flag, they tried scamming me by telling me my Credit Union wouldn't finance under my terms and tried putting me into an extremely higher interest rate loan with a bank they likely get an incentive from. Salesman told me later he knew my CU approved my terms and his sales manager told him to lie. They immediately backtracked when I said I'd just call my CU. Talked to my father later and he said they did a similar thing to him. Dodge was offering 0 percent and they tried putting him in a loan with a different bank. They claim they didn't know Dodge was offer 0 percent. AS A DODGE DEALER. This was at their Springfield location. So they clearly have a pattern of doing this.

Go to pick up truck and all mechanical work was not done. Wanted me to take the truck on the promise they would compete the work later. When I pushed back and asked for compensation on the sale price for my wasting my time, sales manager Craig stepped in. This guy is a total loose cannon. He ended up getting so elevated that he said he was going to just not sell us the truck. accused me of not wanting to even buy the truck. We were only trying to ask for a few hundred bucks for our time and also give feedback on how poor our experience was to the manager. It was extremely uncomfortable and this was in front of other customers and sales team. He was completely unprofessional.

Called to speak to the GM the next day to voice how terrible my experience was. Kevin did a great job of listening and apologizing. Said he would follow up with me. Didn't hear back for 2 days so I called and cancelled the deal. Craig will be happy he can send it to auction and make a few thousand more bucks while alienating a customer from McGee forever. I waited nearly a week to post a review hoping I would hear back from anyone above Craig to follow up. They may be great to buy a new car from IDK. Craig is a liability. I went to Handy in St. Albans and it was night and day.

Overall extremely poor communication, follow through, lied about financing, and Craig sabotaged the deal to make a few bucks more. Management above Craig listened but never followed up. 0/5. The only good thing was negotiating the price was easy.

Google and Carfax make them look much better than they are. Look at yelp and that is a more accurate rating.

The service was great as usual.I left my car for the day and they gave me a ride to work.they called me when it was ready with no issues.I would highly recommend them!

Got me in early and even though they couldn't fix my issue they told me what they are doing to help. Absolutely nothing that interferes with driving (just my tailgate).
They are still working on it..... my point is vet good communication

You can't beat their service department. They are helpful and knowledgeable about products.They know their customers and everyone speaks to you. Abd they all have a smile
