Stephane, Stephen, Kayla and Browning have been such a pleasure to work with! So nice to work with wonderful young people like them. We will have more projects in the future and they will for sure be my go too! I think I have made new friends as well!!

We had MCG do a home renovation the roof leaked and they said only had a five year warranty. (However say they have lifetime craftsmanship) we had someone come out and look at it and they said it was not the product but the craftsmanship. So now we have to pay someone to fix out roof that is under 10 years old.

When the rain was at its worst last fall we had some horrible foundation problems surface. I contacted MCG homes for help, I am so thankful I did! They have the best team! Kayla was my A1 from day 1, being our cheerleader the whole way! Daniel was on site everyday making things happen, anytime we had questions he was there to walk us through it all! Joe was leading the demo and I can't thank him and Daniel enough for replanting a beloved lemon tree in the rain! Barry was my best friend on the project and built everything like it was for his own house! Westin held everything together and communicated through the whole project! Kevin was awesome hanging trim! Jalen, Kayla and Stephanie made sure we had everything on the site! Chris, Jaime, Landon and Keith were also a part of this awesome team! We appreciate you all so much! MCG is completing an addition and home renovation for us. They have been wonderful. Stephanie has been great every step of the way during the design phase. We are nearing completion on two projects. One is an add on and the other a remodel of bath, added a bath and bedroom update. Throughout the entire process, we have had constant communication with the team, whether alerting us to unforeseen challenges or confirmation of design ideas. We worked with Stephanie at MCG on our kitchen design and now are in the process of our Reno and couldn’t be happier. My wife and I have had the incredible privilege of working with MCG on our home renovation. We considered and spoke with a lot of different companies, but we are so grateful we chose MCG. From the moment we walked into our first meeting, it was apparent that MCG was the best choice.

In 2022, we bought a Fernandina Beach home that was previously renovated by MCG Homes (as seen on MCG's Portfolio page :). Although much of our new home was already beautifully renovated, we had two bathrooms to update and a large empty bonus room above the garage, which we hoped to convert into a ‘penthouse suite’ for guests. We also wanted an attractive solution to convert our formal dining room into an office/fitness room without a detrimental impact and in an aesthetically pleasing way. Since we were already witness to their beautiful work and fine craftsmanship, we called MCG. (Admittedly, I can be persnickety – noticing even the smallest of details – so it was comforting to see MCG’s quality of work before jumping into a renovation project.)

After meeting with Matt (Meskimen), to discuss the potential project and MCG’s business model, and MCG’s Senior Designer, Jalen, who gave us confidence that our potpourri of thoughts and design ideas had potential for a harmonious plan, we were comfortable that MCG’s comprehensive approach related to design, budget and pricing, customer service, craftsmanship, and quality standards were in line with our goals and needs.

During the initial design process and along the way, Matt, Jalen, and the rest of the MCG team were responsive to our thoughts, ideas, and evolving plans. They worked through every detail with us and there were no unexpected surprises (aside from Jalen’s treats or sweets to keep my husband entertained during design meetings); and we continue to be happy with, and proud of, the vision that became our renovation reality.

The details of our project went into a comprehensive and transparent budget plan, which gave us confidence that we knew and understood the costs of the project.

The project team was courteous, responsive, and professional throughout the renovation project. They provided daily status reports, cleaned up at the end of each day, were conscious that we were sharing a home with an ongoing renovation project, and promptly addressed any concerns or questions. And during times when we were traveling and away from the house, we were comfortable that the MCG team was taking good care of our home.

The craftsmanship that went into our renovation project was top notch. The finished product was beautiful; the additions or modifications to the existing structures were seamless; and if materials or initial results weren’t perfect, they were replaced or reworked without our prompting. And although we all hoped for a single punch list at the end of the project, the MCG team continued to be responsive to new issues or our new discoveries, even after the official completion of our project.

When the project was finished, we were thrilled, but sad to lose our regular contact with the MCG team. If we have additional plans for home renovations, we’ll call our friends at MCG Homes.

I had to turn a room back into a garage to sell the house and was referred to MCG by my realtor. I couldn't be more pleased. The price was reasonable and they were very clear about what was and was not included. The dumpster was very neat looking and the site was completely cleaned when they finished. They also accommodated my desire to salvage a door and windows when it would be much easier for them to just rip and toss. The people who took the salvage told me how nice and helpful they were. AND all calls quickly returned. Good job.

Matt Meskimen and MCG are fantastic. We had severe flooding damage in our office building in downtown Jacksonville during Hurricane Irma. They had a crew there immediately to do demolition and begin putting things back together. They are one stop shopping and resolved all of our issues quickly, professionally and effectively. I recommend them without reservation! 5 STARS!
