We had three roofing companies come out to give us a quote. After having a lengthy and educational discussion with Brock McClelland, we decided to go with McClellands Contracting and Roofing. Brock talked about the proper method of having a roofing system installed and not just replacing shingles. We had an attic fan that was no longer working and requested a ridge vent to be installed in its place. Unknowingly, we thought the ridge vent would solve the problem of having excessive heat on the second floor and in the attic. Brock pointed out that the soffit wasn't open to the attic space, resulting in zero airflow. With their system, they would install intake vents about 2-3 feet from the gutters to allow fresh air to enter and then exit out the ridge vent. Brock also recommended sealing off the gable vents so any air coming in those access points wouldn't dirty up the airflow.

Rob Stevens, our Project Manager, was awesome. He contacted us to set up a day and time that worked for us, had his crew on-site at 7:00am, thoroughly reviewed the project, double checked that all of the materials were delivered including the correct shingles, and suggested painting the roof vent pipes and chimney cap so they matched the flashing and drip edges. The crew worked hard all day in some extreme temperatures. They protected the property from debris, cleaned up like they were never there, and replaced yard decorations and landscape lighting. If that wasn't good enough, Rob returned the next morning and personally wiped down the gutters to give that final touch to complete the job.

All of that being said, if you are looking for a respectful, responsible, detail focused, knowledgeable, and hard-working company and team to work on you next project, we would HIGHLY recommend McClellands Contracting and Roofing. You will not be disappointed.

Our roof was just completed, and we are very happy with the results. Brock suggested the roof color that he thought would look best, and he was right, it looks beautiful on our home! Brock and our project manager, Rob were great to work with, answering any and all questions and concerns that we had throughout the process. Best of all, our new shingles will prevent algae from growing, and the technique they used to install our roof will create better air flow in our attic!

Had an estimate done with Brett today. Took the time to show us the issues with our aged roof and explain what needed fixed as well as the new roofing system they install now.

I cannot say enough about McClellands Contracting and Roofing. I first had the owner, Brock, out to a house I’m renting and trying to buy. He spent 45 mins with me and gave me a full education about my roof and what I needed. He explained the product they used and most importantly, he explained the need for proper ventilation. When he left, I felt like I really knew a lot more than I ever did about roofs. That house fell through and I bought a different one and he squeezed me into his schedule within 2 days to come to the new house. I also went to their shop to look at samples and he again spent time going over things with me. I had 3 other estimates and NONE of them talked to me more than 2-3 mins and not one mentioned ventilation. McClellands was competitive in pricing, but that did not sell me. Brock clearly knows his stuff and is laser focused on his business which is clearly his passion. The Forman on the job, Vince, was also great. I went the morning of install and he kept me informed throughout the day, inc some unexpected findings. When the job was done, he went over everything with me. I’m as pretty picky customer and I can’t say enough about McClelland’s. If you need a roof or other work, call them. You WON’T be disappointed.

I want to commend McClellands Contracting and Roofing, and employee Dan Apitsch. I called for an estimate after I noticed fascia had pulled away from under my box gutter in 3 of 4 corners of my house. Mr. Apitsch met me at my house and I showed him the problem areas. He asked when my box gutters were last painted and said he would inspect them while he was examining the fascia. Later in the day Mr. Apitsch contacted me to tell me that he went ahead and tacked down the fascia at no cost. He told me the gutter liner did not need painting. He said there are a few seams that need to be resealed and he would send me an estimate. I have been treated poorly by many contractors. Nobody has ever done anything free of charge. Most of the contractors I have worked with would have convinced me the box gutters needed to be painted and would have turned this into a big expensive job. I am grateful to Mr. Apitsch and McClellands for their kindness and honesty and look forward to completing my little job. I expect this to be the beginning of a great relationship as I have a number of projects ahead of me.

Brock was our sales rep. He was very knowledgeable and made recommendations for ventilation to improve air circulation. He notice that a bathroom exhaust fan was not to the manufacturer’s specifications and included the rerouting of the vent. He also sent out a crew to do a temporary repair on our existing boot so I didn’t have to worry about any leaks while waiting for the new roof to be installed.

Our project manager Vince was great. He made sure that all the work was completed to not just his satisfaction, but mine as well. We had a new roof, gutters, and downspouts installed. Vince and his crew went above and beyond to make sure that every part of the job was done professionally with unmatched workmanship.

I am 100% satisfied and work highly recommend McClelland’s.

Jason and Nick were great to work with, answered any questions/concerns that I had. I apologize, don’t know their names, but the crew onsite were courteous, hardworking and conscientious. All involved were very professional, knew their craft. The result was a beautiful job!!

Rob Stevens and his team did a great job. There were a few unexpected hiccups but the first words out of Rob’s mouth were “no worries I will take care of it” and he did. He was up front, straightforward and easy to work with.

McClellan did a great job for me with some front of house water leakage problems and, so, when the back side of the roof needed attention, they were the people I called. I live in a HOA, So it’s important that the people I use meet expectations and can match standards already set. Big job, small job, they seem happy to help homeowners with it all with the same prompt, experienced attention.

Everything was done to perfection the workers worked hard cleaned up and the project manager was great to work with they had my roof on within 6 hours and it looks great

I had an excellent experience with McClellands. Our salesman, Dan, was very thorough when explaining the work estimate and answering my questions.
Dustin and Shawn completed the work on my roof and gutters. They reviewed the work order with me prior to starting the job and kept me updated throughout the process.

Work was completed summer 2024. Hired McClellands for roof replacement, gutter installation, and chimney cap install. Multiple issues:

Original quote misidentified box gutters and failed to include a needed gutter jump. Fortunately, they owned the mistake and covered labor, but we were billed ~$3,000 in unexpected materials.

A section of gutter was removed and replaced that we didn’t request.

One gutter section was severely pitched away from the downspout. (See picture.)

An upper downspout completely blocked the lower gutter over the porch roof. (See picture.)

Gutter straps were left unclipped. (See picture.)

Chimney cap blew off shortly after install during a storm, damaging siding. The replacement was installed with anchors sticking out over an inch. (See picture.)

Construction debris, including screws and nails, was left in garden beds and around the property.

Poor communication throughout the project and repairs, with frequent delays and repeated follow-ups needed.

Would not recommend based on our experience.

This crew hit the ground running and blew me away with the way that they worked. Very organized and efficient. Every move that they made was productive. Jesse kept me informed as the project progressed and answered all of my questions. Despite the stifling heat, they showed up, and got er done. Outstanding job and it looks great!

I never had a google account until recently. It’s been a year this July 2025 since mcclelland’s did work on my home . EXCELLENT!!! They were punctual, professional and the home now has an outstanding look to it! I highly recommend them as a contractor!

They started work within a week of when they said they would start. When work days were lost due to rain they worked late hours and Saturday to stay on schedule. The work (replace wood soffit and fascia with PVC) was done well. All in all a positive experience and outcome.

Rob and his crew were awesome! Great communication before, during and after. Rob was always available to answer my questions via text and in person.

Excellent contractor, from estimate to finish work. Had roof, soffit, and fascia work done. Rob was on top of the job ensuring all work was completed correctly and even came back to ensure job was well cleand up afterwards!

McClelland's Roofing just completed installing a new roof and gutters on our home and we could not be happier with the results and the process. This was a large, difficult job, 58 square of roofing with a lot of hips, ridges, and cornice returns. The crew worked on the hottest days on record to complete the job. They were polite, professional, paid attention to detail, and were good workers. They even had people whose job was to continuously clean around the house so trash did not accumulate.

I have an older house that needed gutters replaced. My house is very challenging to work on. It's 3 stories in front & 5 in the back (pretty flipping high for living on a hill) so you can imagine how difficult it was to find a company that was not only equipped but willing to take on such a challenge. I've had astronomical numbers thrown at me by other companies/contractors that I've called or have been completely ghosted wasting my time or giving me the run around. 2 of those companies actually told me they had to decline due to them not being able to work at that height & they even recommended calling McClellands. Throughout the whole process Dan, Justin, Shannon, Damian & Sonny were very helpful, professional, honest & went over & beyond my expectations to get this intense project done & I appreciate everything they did to help me throughout this process. It feels pretty damn good & a huge relief to not get stressed out every time it rains/storms now. I highly recommend you calling McClellands I have more projects that need done & I look forward working with this company again.

I've had many contractors come and look at the roofing job I want done. It's adding a roof over my front porch plus installing a new roof over the house. David Hawkins is the only one who came up with a roof I could agree upon. The project isn't due to start for another 8-14 weeks, but to know David has the same vision as I do is a great start!

They got the work done in good time, and also worked with me on payment when additional charges came up, allowing me time to rework my finances.

This is such a great company to do business with! Brooke was great with the initial inspection and was extremely knowledgeable and made everything so easy. When Rob came out with the crew, he was very clear with what the day would look like and how long they would be. At the end of the day, Rob showed me what they did and made sure we were happy with the work. I typically don’t trust most companies to do what they said they will, but McClellands went above and beyond to do just that. I will be calling them again with future projects

My call was answered quickly, someone came out for a quote very quickly as well. They also did a quick fix for us until they could come out to do the job, which we really appreciated, especially with this weather we’ve been having. They came in under the quoted time and finished the job quickly and efficiently. The price quoted was accurate and fair. Definitely recommend!

McClellands did a fantastic job residing out garage. Nick was friendly and communicative- the entire crew was courteous, efficient and cleaned-up well!

McClellands replaced our roof after it was damaged by a hail storm. Rick was extremely helpful and transparent when it came to pricing, planning, and navigating the insurance process. He coordinated directly with our insurance adjuster throughout the planning process. Rob, the project manager, kept an open line of communication throughout the project and was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. If we ever had questions he responded immediately. His team put in long days and got the job done quickly. And since the project has been completed, I haven't found a single nail on the ground!

Devin and his guys showed up on time, worked HARD all day for three days to get my roof done. I have a steep driveway and yard as well as my roof, so they had to carry everything. I had gutters, downspouts and viral siding installed so they were busy the entire time. Would use them again, but the guarantee is so good, I won’t have to. These guys are good.

Although I can’t say anything bad about the quality of work and the expediency of getting a quote, there was a serious lack of communication and efficiency to get the project to schedule. It took several attempts via phone & email before finally getting a response, but even then, it was still lacking in efficiency. Communication is key to a service based company, so if you’re in a hurry or are the type that needs good communication, I definitely would not recommend this company. On a positive note, the quality of work was very good.

The McClelland crew did a great job installing our new door and storm door. Worked very efficiently and cleaned up really well. Can't wait for the shower install!

I just had my roof replacement done by McCelland’s yesteday, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with how easy they made the entire process. As a first time homeowner, I braced myself for a roof replacement to be a stressful experience, but Brooke and Nick were responsive, professional, and timely in all areas. Devin and his team finished the project in one day and cleaned up nicely. I felt that the cost was fair-McCelland’s was my middle quote, around $2k between each. Get multiple quotes folks!

I was looking for a company to replace the rotted wood on my deck with composite decking. My quote was finalized in October 2024 with the promise that it would be finished by Thanksgiving. Fast forward to May 2025 and still no action. I called to cancel when Jeff took over the project and promised to see this through to completion. At first there were a few issues but Jeff worked with me. I knew my joists were going to need replaced and I knew the price would be high but I felt I was drastically overcharged for this hidden damage. The price for deck joist tape too was outrageous so I decided not to tape the joists for added protection. I felt I was most definitely taken advantaged of but I do know these things happen. I was very impressed with the crew that I was assigned with. Lowell Whitlow and Josh Amrhein were the consumate professionals. Their knowledge and attention to detail was very impressive and they are the reason this project will be deemed a success. They worked with me and addressed all my concerns. The installers were AMAZING!!! In conclusion make sure you do your homework before you sign that contract and trust no one.

Needed a roof repair done on short notice and McClelland's was able to take care of us! They were prompt and very professional, not to mention affordable! Would certainly recommend!

I have used McClellands two time in the past year. Vince Sciarretti did the work both times. Once to put ice/snow stoppers on part of my tin roof and the other to repair the shingles that the storm had ripped off. Vince was quick both times. When he repaired the shingles Vince inspected the rest of them and noticed some fault from the builder but did not try to pressure us into anything. Vince mentioned it and showed us. So honest. They really will be the only company I use. You can trust them and they do honest work and are upfront.

Justin and Dustin replaced my old gutters and found problems with some areas of the wood that needed replaced and installed new gutters. They kept me informed throughout their work and did excellent job. Very pleasant and professional. I would recommend Mcclelland to anyone based on their performance. Nick and Dustin (the gutter GOAT) did a fantastic job on my house. The black finish up front ties into my house colorway, Nick brought some areas of concern to my attention, which he didn't have to. Both guys did a great job, were personable and professional.

We had damage to our house after a recent storm and, after weeks of calling multiple companies, getting outrageous quotes and work back schedules to help tarp and repair our siding, we felt hopeless.

Calling McClellands changed everything. They were able to get someone out the same day we called to tarp off the damage to our house to help prevent any further damage and then scheduled the full repair a few weeks thereafter.

Working with Dan, Justin, Lisa was a delight. Communication was fluid, the job was done amazingly well, and priced within reason.

A recent storm caused serious damage to our aging roof, leading to us to reach out to McClellands to have it replaced. While waiting for the materials to come in, we started having some leaks. We reached out to Rick and he had a team come out and put a temporary cover over the affected area so we don't need to worry about leaks for the next few days. Amazing service and quick response!

My husband and I recently used McClellands for a roof replacement and had a very positive experience. Brooke was kind and knowledgeable, without her help I think I would have picked a bad color for the roof/gutters. Thankfully, everything turned out better than expected. As a result, we now have one of the best looking roofs on the street.

We had damage to the siding on our house from last weeks storm. We called McClellands Contracting and Roofing the day after the storm. Nick and Jason came out the next day to assess the damage.Both men did a great job assisting us with the assessment.They checked the whole house and even made some temporary repairs to the damaged section. So that the damage would not get worse. In this day and age when customer service is important. Both Nick and Jason are great examples of great customer service. We appreciate them coming out when we called. Waiting now for their estimate on the damage so that the job can be completed.

After the April 29 storms, Vince was across the street giving a repair estimate for my neighbor. I had some minor siding flashing damage from the storm. I asked Vince to stop over after he was finished with my neighbor for an estimate. Vince was able to repair my damage on the spot, to my satisfaction. As busy as they were with the storm aftermath, I was more than appreciative that he took the time to help me out, right there and then.

Nathan from McClellands will have my business in the future for how nice and helpful he was when he stopped at my mom's house. He was so honest and transparent with us about cost and time it would take to repair minor storm damage. I highly recommend Nathan if you are looking for a trustworthy contractor.

I saw a McClellands truck in my neighborhood after the storm in Pittsburgh recently. I had some minor roof damage and wanted to get it fixed before the next round of storms came through. Nathan was nice enough to stop by even though I didn't have an appointment and looked at the roof and gave me an estimate. He was very helpful and very nice. His customer service was excellent and I will be contacting him when my roof needs replaced.

These guys came out and got the work done. There was some ambiguity about what I expected and what needed to happen. It wasn't anybody's fault, just a miscommunication. McClellands did a fantastic job replacing my shingled roof with a standing seam metal roof. I highly recommend them and the salesman Rick Dunder. He recommended to also replace gutters, soffit, and fascia. I was initially hesitant due to the increased cost, but I’m glad I took his recommendations. The house looks amazing and really stands out with the updated gutters, soffit, and facia. The roofing crew was professional throughout the whole process. Their craftsmanship speaks for itself. Rick did such a great job, I even threw in a box of Little Debbie’s.

In a few years I plan on updating my siding and McClellands will be the only contractor I’ll be calling.

Working with the crew from McClelland's was very easy. Rick was excellent to work with coming out for the estimate and helping address questions and concerns. Devin was superb on site day of install. The crew was extremely efficient and had it all done in 10 hours. Devin even came out a few days later when we realized the downspout had to be redirected after first install. I contacted McClellands to replace a dryer vent on the side of my roof. Nate and Dan came out to fix it and were great to work with! They were extremely friendly and got the job done within 10 minutes. The rate was also a lot cheaper than I expected which was a nice surprise. I would recommended McClellands and Nate/Dan to anyone that needs a roofing job done and done quickly.

The removal and replacement of our gutters and downspouts were professionally done by a crew of 3 techs working for McClelland Contracting... They were professional in every aspect of the job. They cleaned up all the debris and were very informative on what they were doing. I would recommend this company to others. They are professionals that go above and beyond expectations. There are few roofing companies willing to come out to work on an old house with a slate roof and box gutters. During the last rain storm the gutter did it's job, there was no water overflow. Friendly workmen were efficient and explained the work that was completed. Many thanks for a job well done.
