Customer feedback is predominantly positive, highlighting the professionalism, responsiveness, and quality of work provided by Mass & Mass. Many customers appreciated the clear communication throughout the process and the fair pricing, which often resulted in high-quality outcomes. The delivery of services was timely, and the crews demonstrated diligence during their work, often leaving job sites clean and tidy. However, there is a notable negative review regarding another contractor, Wilson, which raises concerns about the quality of work and communication in that specific instance.
- They were professional, punctual, and clearly explained every step of the roofing process.
- Wilson was super easy to communicate with and his crew did a great job.
- Mass & Mass is definitely the one to go with.
- The painting crew was very professional, friendly and responsive to our needs.
- Wilson worked with me to accommodate my work schedule.
- None were done properly, and their work left me with new issues I now need to fix myself.
- The leak continued, and after 2 attempted connections and no response, they eventually re.

I hired Wilson for three tasks: gutter leak repair, exterior paint cleaning, and minor roof moss treatment. None were done properly, and their work left me with new issues I now need to fix myself.
For the gutter leak, he insisted on replacing the L-flashing—something I didn’t believe was the cause. They replaced the existing and functional flashing and several shingles in the process. Then they offered to reuse the old shingles, which had nail holes. After I refused, they installed mismatched shingles.. The leak continued, and after 2 attempted connections and no response, they eventually returned after a few days. They couldn’t identify the issue and claimed it was “normal.” I ended up climbing the roof myself to find the actual problem, which they then tried to patch with a quick fix. By that point, I had lost confidence in their work.
On the exterior paint cleaning, we agreed to use a “30 Seconds” cleaner followed by pressure washing. Instead, his crew scrubbed with sponges, which made the paint look worse. I asked them to stop. I allowed a driveway pressure wash instead, which I found overpriced for the result.
For moss treatment, I was charged for multiple applications of moss-kill product, but I found a package of baking soda on my yard and saw them use that instead. When I asked, they said baking soda was better. However, the job description and cost didn’t reflect this substitution, which I found misleading.
After the first rain, I noticed a new gutter leak that appeared to have been caused during their repair. I contacted Wilson on April 10 and again on May 17, but as of mid-July, I haven’t received a reply.
In my experience, the quality of work, communication, and follow-through were all very poor. I cannot recommend this contractor and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

I’ve worked with Mass & Mass twice now for roof and siding repairs from storm damage. They are fast, do a great job, and are reasonably priced. Great to work with!

They replaced a beam for me last year that was rotting. Less than half the price of competition. Great job also! I’d recommend these guys 100% to anybody in a heartbeat.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
