It’s great going to Marvin’s . Sales folks are very helpful and courteous. 5 star.
But. I’m a veteran and love the AMERICAN FLAG AND HOW THEY ARE DISPLAYED.
I’ve spoke to three sales and two cashiers about replacing the tattered and torn AMERICAN FLAGS in the front of the store. I love that they are there.
Replace them. You got a group of them in the store.
Then again, if that is the quality of flags you are selling, I don’t need your quality flag. Sell a quality AMERICAN FLAG. Made in the USA.

Fantastic local hardware store. Staff is very helpful and the selection is fantastic. A weird one off but they have a fantastic selection of sodas that are not mainstream selections. Highly recommended Marvin’s.

Went to the store on 5/24/2024 to get some plumbing supplies and walked by and saw a toilet I needed also. I asked an employee Nathan T who was working in small engines if they had flat bed carts so that I could purchase the toilet. This kid went and found a flat bed cart, loaded the toilet onto the cart, rang all my merchandise up and took it to my vehicle and loaded it in my vehicle. What an awesome young man and employee. I don't usually receive that type of service at this location, but I would suggest you retain this employee as long as you can, thanks.

Took my chainsaw to have it repaired, took three months and still same problems. Every time I called I was told they were waiting for part and they only used one vendor. Don't make the same mistake I did and take your small engine repair to a place that has more than one vendor and know what they are doing. This place is overpriced ,so I don't recommend them unless you are desperate.

Why are there never prices on lumber or things that are outside.?? The customer is responsible for taking a picture with their phone and then going back inside to have the cashier find the price on a long google spreadsheet. GET With the 21st century!

When I was outside I saw 4 people walk right by me, and never asked if I needed help, I am never going to give this place ANY money.

Prices are DOUBLE of what It is at Lowes or Home Depot. For a bag of concrete 50 pds is 12 bucks?

What a rip off. You are paying double the price if you just go down to Lowes, they are taking advantage of the customers, how GREEDY.

The prices are a little high compared to other stores within a 20 or so minute drive. However they always seem to have the odd sized nuts and bolts you need.

I drove 45 minutes to get to this place last weekend, and stood in line for 20 minutes, just for them to tell me that they didn’t have the lumber that I needed! This weekend I called ahead and the lady on the phone checked the inventory and told me that they had 10 in stock.
I’ve drove 45 minutes again stood in line for about 10 minutes. Purchased the lumber, and when I got to the lumberyard, they did not have the pieces in stock!! So I got my money back and That was my last trip ever to Marvins…

High quality materials for not much more than box stores. Worth the additional costs. I do commercial fencing and decks, I source all my wood from this store with a “blue tarp” account. There three people who seem to be dedicated to commercial clients and maybe residential as well, but I will get help even on Sunday’s for large orders tue following week.

Propane sales person or more likely the upper management needs more training.
My propane tank was close to expiring but had yet to expire according to the date stamped on the tank, yet Marvin’s would not fill the tank.
The A in front of the year (11) in my case, means that the tank was manufactured and either January, February or March 2011. It is now December 2023 which means the tank should have two more months of eligibility to be filled (12 years), unless you’re in Canada, which tank certification will only last 10 years before needing recertification.
This is the third timeline I have had problems with Marvins. I hate to go to the big box stores, I like to support businesses in the small towns, but Marvin’s makes it difficult.

Called ahead asking if they refilled propane tanks.
Girl said they did and nothing more.
After waiting for 5 minutes, someone looks at my tanks and refused to fill them, saying they were too old!
Girl should have said something before I drove there.
However, then went across the street and exchanged them for full ones and spent my $58 somewhere else.

Propane refill prices can’t be beat! Great customer service throughout the whole store! Stihl dealer, and offers Military Discount unlike Tractor Supply. Always shop here of Tractor Supply for prices alone

I dont know why I even waste my time coming in this store. It's very seldom they have anything. The employees are clueless and are usually a waste of time talking to. Place went way down hill since it became Marvin's. Honestly don't see how this place stays in business.

They was vert helpful i needed a vent for floor in my kitchen. It coast more then what i thought it will be.

Today was a great experience at Marvin’s with good customer service. The experience at the door to the end of my service was phenomenal. Thank you for fixing my vehicle and keep up the great service you provide

I swear these are the rudest people I've ever met. I even asked a few other people if it's just me and they all said the staff is very rude. I don't know if it's my color, only black customers said the staff was rude and I noticed the whole ora towards me and a few others. I will definitely not be returning.

Every time I go here I have an issues. Took my chainsaw in and the guy at the counter in the back couldn’t get the side piece back on so he hit it really hard trying to slam it in, we’ll he broke part of it off then tells ME that I have to put it in for service now. Then I went today and one of the workers helped me bc I couldn’t find prices and so he told them to me. I asked him if he had anymore and he said that was the last for that price. I went up front to pay and the girl said they were triple so I had a manager come over and she wouldn’t honor that price. I didn’t want them so the cashier then tried to charge me for them.

Went for propane refill the customer service was awesome! Also check the dates on your tanks or they won't refill.?

Had a good visit. My hubby went for specialty screws and washers he couldn't find at Lowe's. I went for spray paint which a little high priced but if you want it you'll pay for it right?!! Very clean store. Friendly staff. Easy to find items. Aisle markers clear, easy to read. Restrooms are clean. Keep up the good work.

Probably has the best bolt and Hardware selection of any hardware store of ever seen.
Quitting Chrome and black chrome bolts

They usually have awesome customer service, but today was not one of those days. Had the entire staff ignore two radio requests for me to get assistance with seeds. Since you're not allowed to weigh them yourself, you have to wait for help. Saw seven team members on the salesfloor in eyesight the first time I asked someone for help. Had to ask again after waiting 10 minutes, then everyone literally disappeared except two cashiers who were assisting other customers. Waited 5 more minutes before deciding to leave and order seeds online. My family and I go to Marvin's for any and all hardware needs, including lumber. I guess if my seed money isn't good enough, neither is the rest of it.

I called twice, needing help with a glass window pane. I was hung up on the first time. Called back was put on hold and when someone did answer it was with BIG attitude. Told her I was happy to wait and didn't have any attitude and got hung up on again! Customer service is not something I have experienced very often with Marvin's.

We searched for a gas weed eater from Florida to Georgia and then back home 2 South Carolina and finally decided, let's check Marvin's hardware store in Moncks Corner. What a treasure we found, not only a weed eater that would suit our purpose but the warranty that would extend for four years instead of two as well as a veteran's discount!!!!

As a corporation, or chain of stores, their website does not extend to define the products they carry, or the prices for ANY items.
The website is useless, as there are NO links to relevant items being searched for.
I needed about 1200 stainless steel deck screws sized #9 x 2½". They only listed that they did infact carry "Screws" but that is as far as you can go in looking up what their inventory included. MARVIN'S is an EPIC FAIL.
Thank heavens there is Lowe's!
P.S. They don't deserve the Star, but it wouldn't let me post without one. Sad.

Nice place, always has what I am looking for. Some very nice employees. Prices are a little high but good for picking up something you really need. Store is very neat and clean.

I have always found what I was looking for at Marvin's when other big box stores didn't stock or have the items. Now I just go directly here. No wait at checkout with friendly and helpful staff.

Most recent visit I noticed a decent supply of primary color spray paints.

Next visit I plan to grab local honey.
