I highly recommend Peter Martin and his crew of Martin Contracting. As a full-service roofing contractor, they professionally replaced my hail-damaged shingles with quality CertainTeed Landmark shingles, installed seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts, and did a partial replacement of wood soffits and fascia (excellent carpenters). The project was owner supervised by Peter and he and his friendly crew kept to the agreed schedule from start to finish, from helping to determine the style and color of shingle, working with the insurance company, to doing great clean up after the work was done. Even after they were done, when I noticed something that needed attention, they were quick to respond and make it right, something I value, should my roof need repair in the future from weather damage or for any reason -- I know they will be there for me.

My experience was outstanding - the owner Peter was intimately involved from start to finish. He gave us a long list of references so we were able to visit and view many prior jobs of his and talk to homeowners who were his past clients. We heard very good things about this company so it was our first choice for him to do our work. Our job was fairly difficult, if not really hard because the home is a 3 story 1890 Victorian (located in Evanston). Peter had completed roofs on other houses with similar challenges and even several other houses in the immediate neighborhood. The job started on time and finished on time. Each day the crew cleaned up and made sure everything was in order. We were told by many that you should not pick your contractor only on price, but give equal weight to quality of workmanship and timeliness. Peter has many years experience and his crew is the best. Give Peter a hard look before you pick another contractor.
