I could not be more impressed. Our neighbors raved about Marshall to the neighborhood listserve. I worried to them that a roof repair might be too small, and they continued to speak highly and encouraged that I called.

The person who answered the phone asked if I had a workmanship warranty -- way to go to that person for even opening up the possibility of losing business. I am a newer homeowner and did not know such a thing existed.

Just in case, I had them come out and give an estimate. Their teammember was knowledgable, informative, gave a close study to discern what was happening, and throughtfully wrote up a proposal on the spot.

It turns out we will be covered by the original roofer's warrenty -- but that company's rep did not spend nearly as much time discerning the situation, promised an estimate / warranty info within a week -- eight days after the visit I wrote to see what was the update -- and eleven days later called after still hearing nothing. That company is coming out to do the work .... and I'm hoping their work is more impressive than work that needed the warranty coverage and active pursuit of a response.

I can’t thank Marshall Roofing and Doug McCleaf enough. From my first phone call I was treated with so much caring and kindness. They understood my needs and got the job done within my time limit. The crew was very professional and efficient. My roof looks awesome.

We used Marshall Roofing as recommended by our neighbor. We paid over $19,000 for a new roof and skylights that were supposed to be installed in June 2024 but due to poor scheduling/communication on Marshall Roofing's part, it wasn't done until the end of July 2024. And it was a rush job. During installation, one of their workers broke through the roof/skylight. It was a mess. Fast forward, it is now January 2025 and two of the brand new skylights are leaking and damaged the drywall. I have called repeatedly and asked them to come and fix the leak as they claim to have a 15-year warranty of their work. Today, once again, NO ONE showed up and NO ONE called despite being assured they would be here between 12-4. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. They tell you all the great stuff they do but try and get them to come back other than to get their check. Good luck with having them stand by their "work". It has been a nightmare.

We are very happy with the service, quality and price from Marshall Roofing.
In 2023 we had them replace two 20 year old skylights and that work was excellent. In 2024 we decided to have them replace the original builder windows in our house after interviewing a few other companies and we are glad we picked Marshall Roofing.
Chris explained, in detail, the installation process as well as wrapping and caulking and didn't pressure us like a lot of the window companies do.
They completed the entire house in one day. The installers were excellent. No mess at all. We had to have some of the aluminum wrapping replaced and they took the time to show us options that would look better than what was there before.
And unlike other companies Chris came back to check the work after a few days to make sure we were happy and we were.

We learned contractors and tradesmen have a dubious reputation with some home owners, when we first renovated in 2007.

We asked people who had worked in our home for their recommendations for our next renovation project. David Samson of Prudent Homes, a fellow who was redoing our attic insulation said, "I don't know anyone at the company but I always hear high praise for an outfit named Marshall Roofing, Siding and Doors".

"Marshall has been in business a while and the founder and his son still run the current business."

We first contacted Matt Marshall of Marshall Roofing Siding and Windows in 2020, at the outset of the pandemic. The uncertainty in the supply chain and the chaos created by the pandemic meant that, we waited and deferred our project.

With the pandemic behind us, we reached out to Matt again in January 2024.

Matt helped us finalize our renovation vision using their HOVER design and measurement program so that we could actually see, in advance, what the changes to our home looked like.

Matt Marshall, our point of contact project manager, spent months working with my wife with their HOVER program, until we had a design that we loved.

Then quickly Marshall moved our project forward. We had a chimney problem, we needed masonry work and we needed a new roof, siding, gutters, downspouts, leaf guards, front porch redesign, etc.

Matt recommended a firm, Advanced Chimney Consultants, to fix our chimney. Marshall then installed our beautiful James Hardie siding, repairing problems that revealed themselves when the old vinyl siding came off.

They then repaired and replaced our old roof with Certainteed Presidential Shake shingles...heavy duty with a very unique look and pattern. The Marshall process, be it windows, doors, roofing or siding, always utilizes "best in class install practices" ...With Marshall, it's always water tight and done right!

They then installed black gutters, round downspouts and gutter guards.

They redid our front porch portico design and installed a black metal roof with snow-cleats on it...it was the perfect "cap" for our front porch.

Throughout our renovation, Matt was proactive, reachable and supportive...full of suggestions and actions that made our project better!

After the Marshall teams had done their magic (the carpentry, roofing, siding, gutter divisions) Matt came over to do a walk-about to develop the "punch list" of final issues to be corrected before they invoiced us for the project.

I told Matt, "I have no items on my punch list". He then took over and spotted things we had overlooked...and most importantly, got them taken care of immediately.

We can honestly say, having renovated twice now, that we have never, never had a better construction experience than we had with the Marshall teams. Everyone we met from Marshall had the "right attitudes". You don't find that in most customer facing businesses today!

Anytime I asked a question, the Marshall team said, "Yes, we can do that and you'll be happy when we're finished". That sounds like "the right attitude" to us.

It was not their "first rodeo"...Marshall Roofing is highly experienced and knowledgeable....in taking care of your project, your budget and you, the home owner.

After having four "stop-by" roofing companies come to pressure me to handle our replacement, Doug was immediately someone I felt we could trust. (It helped that four neighbors had highly recommended the company after using them for their repair/replacement.) Our insurance company denied the claim 3 times and each time, Doug appealed their decision and advocated on our behalf to have our claim escalated and reconsidered. In the end, our insurance company approved the coverage. It NEVER would have happened had it not been for Doug's persistence and expertise. The process took approximately six months (!) and he never gave up or chose to walk away. Extraordinarily pleased with the team and their results! Marshall Roofing and Siding was really wonderful to work with. I have only great things to say about my experience with them. After a storm uprooted a neighbor’s tree that damaged my house’s roof, gutters and siding, a good friend recommended Marshall. I talked to a couple of other companies too, but they didn’t have the same straight forward and knowledgeable customer service. When my insurance company tried to low ball me on the claim settlement, Marshall brought in a claim expert to take detailed damage pictures and write detailed claim. The insurance company ultimately agreed to the claim numbers Marshall documented so well. The Marshall quickly scheduled the work, completed it on time, and did it well (my mortgage company sent inspectors). Their team coordinator, Doug, explained all the work, timelines, and kept me well informed. They cleaned up their work site well daily and left my yard in good shape. When supply chain problems delayed some materials, Doug kept me well informed and worked with suppliers to understand the details of the production problem and when we’d actually get the materials. From the claim process to the installation of a whole new roof, new gutters and down spouts, and all new siding, and initial selection of colors, and material my HOA would approve Marshall was helpful and timely at every step. I was sad my house got damaged by the tree, but I couldn’t be happier with the work and help from Marshall Roofing and Siding.

I have been using Marshall’s for nearly 15 years. I live in an older house and they’ve installed a new roof, installed new siding and gutters among other things. Why do I keep going to them? Simple, they always do a great job: they show up when they’re suppose to, they finish the work when they say it’s suppose to be finished, and when they leave, the worksite is clean and your roof/siding/gutters/sliding door/storm doors look great. Yes, those are the things they’ve replaced through the years. They are family-owned and everyone I’ve met on the phone or in person is so nice. I highly recommend them!

Their Senior Estimator/project manager Doug walked through their bid, explained how theirs might differ from others we received and gave us a variety of options. We've had Marshall Roofing come out for two different projects - gutter repair and a full roof replacement. Both time they've been honest, transparent, and have performed high quality work at a fair price.

In the case of the gutter repair they actually revised the scope (and price) of the project downward once started digging into it. For the roof replacement Doug McCleaf walked me through everything ahead of time so there were no surprises and the crew did a wonderful job. The new roof looks great and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards.

We had a fairly large Hardie siding job with Marshall Roofing & Siding. We are very satisfied with how things turned out. Matt was very easy to work with and we believe the recommendations / suggestions he made were accurate.

The actual work took about 7 business days for the Hardie w/ PVC trim install along with some additional items e.g. soffits, gutters and a Provia storm door.

The techs were Lim, Jay and Herman. We were very impressed with their skill level and attention to detail. Lim was the lead tech and he's a perfectionst - which is a good thing as I believe that played a big role on the high quality of the work. The team was obviously working on a timeline but at the same time I believe they genuinely tried to do the best possible work they could do without making shortcuts - and we're very happy / impressed with the outcome.

We've also been in some communication with other team members e.g. Annette, Carrie and Erika on various things e.g. scheduling, material delivery and invoicing and I have to say the company seems to be very well organized as pretty much everything fell into place.

Additionally, this is not the first job that we've done with this company. Over the years, there were 3-4 others jobs e.g. gutter install and a storm door install 10+ years ago, sliding door install (about 8-9 years ago), and finally a new roof install about 7-8 years ago. All of the work we've been happy with which is why we opted to go with Marshall yet again.

Everthing was always done clearly and transparently, and there were never unpleasant surprises in terms of cost, materials, or scheduling.

Couldn't recommend Marshall Roofing, Inc., more highly for last week's roof replacement (or gutter installation in 2007). This time around, initial roof inspection regarding months-long leak was made by John Campbell on 9/18/23, and it was the most thorough of the 4 roofing companies that came out. John recommended roof replacement, as did 3 other roofing companies, all rated highly for "quality" by Washington Consumers' Checkbook. Marshall not lowest bid, but 2nd to lowest, and (and Marshall had replaced gutters in 2007). On 10/11/23, Annette scheduled roofing replacement for 10/19/23. On 10/19/23, Lucio (crew chief), Fantano, and Carlo showed up on time and started work. However, shingle delivery occurred late (noon), and they could not finish as planned. John came over at end of day to inspect. Lucio and crew came back very early next morning, as rain expected later, and finished up before it rained. On 10/23/23, John completed final inspection and I paid him for job. John, Lucio, and other Marshall did a great job keeping me informed of what was going on.
