They did multiple interior fixes including fixing and repairing some minor faults in the ceiling and parts of drywall through out the house; finishing it off with a fresh paint job that made it look as if there were never any faults to begin with. My siding on the chimney came apart. I called them Friday evening and they arrived the next morning. They did a fantastic job fixing the siding and caulked the chimney cap when they found gaps for the water to get in. They were very thorough and professional.

Mark Meredith LLC is the most reliable home renovation company we’ve used. It has put on a new roof, repaired our wood siding, painted our house, installed recessed lighting, painted the interior of our house, and installed outdoor lighting on our garage and a new front entry door. The crews are not only very expert at their jobs, but also extremely friendly and easy to work with. We will only call Mark Meredith LLC for any future work on our home.

Mark’s company (Carl Walsh was our primary POC) handled a very complicated water leak issue for us where the water leaked through our deck and through a portion of our siding and roof. Once they started the job, they were extremely professional in talking us through their repairs, what they would need to do, and how long it would take. I was very impressed by the crew working the job, led by Edgar. They were quick and competent at what they were doing. I thought they did a very professional job at a reasonable price and would gladly hire them again. Overall, I was very impressed.

We recently had two big jobs done by Carl Walsh at Mark Meredith LLC. The first was exterior work. A third floor bay window had rotted out, and birds and squirrels had started nesting in the holes.

Carl came out within a couple of days, and quoted us a price on the window repair. He also pointed out that if the wood in one part of the exterior was rotting, then there might be similar problems lurking elsewhere, so he also looked at the rest of the wood trim. I was leery of being upsold, but Carl gave a low-pressure assessment, and each time he identified a potential repair he gave me convincing reasons and supporting evidence. We ended up also replacing the front and rear soffits, repairing the rear dormer, painting and caulking all the windows, and repairing the canopy over our front door. It was a lot, but I have no reservations about any aspect of the jobs.The wood that came out was clearly rotted, and all the new work looked much much better. Carl pointed out where wood trim had been replaced by the previous owner, and no additional work was needed. When one of the roof fixtures looked bad, Carl had it replaced at no extra cost. I’ve included before and after photos of the bay window, and a photo of the repaired front door.

We were happy with the end result, and we feel that we paid a fair price. However we were most impressed by the professionalism of the workers. Exterior work is not too intrusive, but Saul and his crew made it absolutely painless. They were unfailingly considerate to our neighbors, from not blocking parking spots, to minimizing construction noise, to keeping their workplace neat and disposing of waste. They also kept us informed of their progress and let us know about any unexpected snags. We could not have asked for better.

By their nature repairs have a limited upside. It’s hard to get too excited about fixing problems (though it *was* nice not to have to hear the critters romping around inside our walls). Overall we were very satisfied with the outcome, and we will go back to Carl with any future exterior work.

On the strength of this experience we went with Carl and Mark Meredith for a bathroom renovation. That was a bigger investment and a more intense experience.

We had an older bathroom with a rusted tub. We wanted a walk-in shower. We got two quotes. The Mark Meredith quote from Carl was for a complete tear-out and replacement. The other quote was about half the price. It was to replace the tub, toilet, and vanity, and to tile the shower and floor. Any other work — such as replacing subfloor, pipes, or wiring — would be “as needed” and extra cost. It was hard to compare, since we had no idea what problems might turn up during construction. We had to think about it for a while. Eventually we decided that since we plan to be in the house for the foreseeable future, we would go with the more thorough renovation. In retrospect I think we would have ended up with additional items on the lower quote, but it would have still come in quite a bit cheaper. That said, we don’t regret paying the higher price at all.

Our experience with the Mark Meredith crew was exceptional. They were working in our home from 9 AM to 5 PM five or six days a week for a month. That’s a lot of time if you don’t get along. But the crew, led by foreman Dagoberto, was great. They began every work day setting up dropclothes to protect our floors and walls, and they ended every work day cleaning up any mess and neatly stowing their equipment. They were invariably friendly and polite. Dagoberto took great pride in his craftsmanship, and he explained all of the work, step by step. Not everything went as planned, and when that happened Dagoberto would consult us on the best path forward. Either Dagoberto or Alfonso was always available to answer questions or take requests. I would trust either of them completely with any future work in my home.

Mark, Omar, and their crew are incredible! We wanted to screen in our porch and Mark talked us through our options and even drew out a diagram for the project. We have a tricky gas line on our porch l, so he talked us through how to navigate that. Omar and his crew came and worked carefully through the project. They were clean, thorough, and talked us through any questions we had along the way. Truly could not have asked for a better product! The custom door they built shrunk slightly due to heat and they came the next day after texting mark to rebuild it. We love our porch and will call Mark and Omar for any future projects. We had been struggling with quotes for a new front door when I finally called Mark. He came out and explained that we didn’t need to replace it but could repair the wood door and storm door on our home for much cheaper. Because of that we were able to add on another repair as well. Our old wooden deck was rotting and in need of restoration. Carl gave us an estimate to replace all the deck surface boards with a qualification that it depended on the amount of rot we had in the posts supporting the deck. Fortunately only a few required replacement and we did want the job done correctly. We also wanted a new sliding glass door to go along with our resurfaced deck. Saul and his helpers did the work on the deck and installed the new door. These guys were great and made every effort to do the work professionally. They paid attention to details and did not hesitate in making corrections where necessary and to redo instead of covering up when necessary. The extra effort left us with a brand new look in our backyard and we could not be happier. I also know from past experience that if we find anything wrong with the work that Mark Meredith LLC will send a crew to make it right.

Mark's team did a great job. The wood framing our front door was all rotted. Mark's team replaced all the wood with composite, painted and added flashing that the original builder never installed. To be honest, I don’t even know where to begin. For the last 30 days we have had the pleasure of working with Carl and his amazing team. When he first showed up, I was expecting a salesman to try to sell us everything under the sun but Carl and his foreman got right to the point and told us what needed to be done. I feel so lucky that we were linked up with Carl at Mark Meredith LLC. We got completely crushed on a home inspection and had 30 days to make our closing. If not, there goes our dream home we were trying to buy. Carl showed up the same day I contacted him and looked at the deck which was what I had originally wanted a quote for.
He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable! I think he has the Fairfax County building code memorized. He gave us a very competitive quote, so we decided to get his opinion on all the other items on our inspection list.
Their trucks say "we do everything" and man - that is so true!!! He went through item by item and if something was fine (home inspectors have no idea what they're talking about sometimes), he gave us a written explanation why it was fine. One by one, each item was ticked off in record time. Without a doubt, we would have never gotten to close on our home in 30 days without Carl. His crew was so fast and they are true tradesmen! The work working was absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. If we weren't selling and moving this company would be our go-to for all future home projects. Mark Meredith and his team did a great job on our home repairs. We had a problem that caused water damage to our porch. He also installed a new outdoor handrail and did interior plastering, painting and some repairs in the house. Mark worked with us to investigate the root causes of the water damage and proposed solutions. The work was done quickly and we felt it was high quality.

Had this 5-Star contractor install a metal roof on my large shed some months ago; a small project for about $3K. The roof is great, the craftsmanship fair, the installment poor, follow-up and follow-through poor. Buying a metal roof was the right choice. However, the team that installed it left jagged/bent metal and seams uncaulked and WORSE, they left screws and sharp metal fragments in my yard, which harmed my dog's paws. The team worked past dark, too late to appropriately QC their work, and thoroughly run the magnet through my yard to FINISH their job. The following day, a supervisor showed to walk the project and collect payment. I shared my concerns and got gross disrespect. Even after sharing my anger about the sharps that made my yard unsafe for my dogs I got excuses. I finally had enough and ordered him and his employee to leave my property. I then followed-up with an owner who was embarrassed by what I described. He showed up on a later day to walk the project. I pointed out concerns I had about some of the craftsmanship; he minimized some of them. He said he would generate a PUNCH LIST to correct my concerns. Then crickets. I followed-up, played phone tag, still nothing. At this point, I'm done, thus my FINAL assessment.

They got their money, I got my roof, and that's that.

I noticed some big water stains in the basement ceiling and some mold growing in and around it. I immediately went to Angi where I found Mark Meredith LLC. They were extremely responsive, came to investigate ASAP, and gave a fair quote for the work. They came in and opened the problem area, found the cut pipe in the ceiling plumbing that was dripping, fixed the piping, fixed the ceiling up, and painted it good as new. Would definitely recommend these guys for this type of work as they are fast and pro!

I recently hired Mark to fix a leak in the ceiling of one of my bay windows in my 3-story townhouse. It had been an ongoing problem and was getting worse. I previously had the copper roofs of both bay windows replaced by another company, thinking that would fix the leak, but the problem persisted. It’s been frustrating because since then I’ve had several proposals to fix it, but no one would guarantee their repair. Mark planned the job with his foreman. The crew cut out the drywall from the ceiling of both bay windows and did a water test from the outside to determine where the water was coming in. The test revealed water was coming from where the top edge of the roof met the outside brick wall of the house. It hadn’t been properly flashed. They then fixed the problem by doing a sort of “umbrella” flashing and re-caulked everything. (I had both windows done because while the other one wasn’t currently leaking, it was only a matter of time, because it had the same insufficient flashing problem and deteriorating caulk.) Mark’s crew then re-did the drywall, and painted, matching the existing color. Throughout the process, Mark was very responsive and genial, and the crew was courteous, friendly, and efficient, and did great work. They also cleaned some debris from my gutters and checked my main roof for possible problems. They were all a pleasure to deal with! I would hire them again. Best of all, Mark gave me a three-year guarantee. Fingers crossed!

Mark and his team were fabulous to work with! Within a day or two of submitting a request Mark came out to look at the space we wanted remodeled and talked through all the components with us. The existing roof soffits and facia on my parents old house were rotted and falling apart. I contacted several different companies and when I contacted the Mark Meredith LLC company, the owner himself, Mark Meredith, agreed to meeting with me personally in the evening to review the proposed work that needed to be done to repair the roof soffits and facia. Mark took the time to walk around the entire house, and he pointed out the work that he recommended needed to be done immediately and the work that could be deferred for some time.

Talking with Mark, I found him to be very knowledgeable and friendly. Mark ultimately recommended that roof soffits and facia on the entire front of the house and the front of the garage be replaced with brand new PVC to replace the existing Particle Board roof soffits and facia. Whereas the other companies were only recommending repairing the damaged areas. I agree with Mark that all of the roof soffits and facia most likely should be replaced, and we agreed on a mutually acceptable price.

My wife oversaw the work done by the Mark Meredith crew, and she was very impressed with the professionalism of the crew and was pleased with their politeness. Additionally, my wife reported back to me that Mark was correct in his assumption that all of the existing roof soffits and facia was rotten and needed to be replaced, as she watched the old existing roof soffits and facia "come off in rotten chunks".

When all of the work was completed, once again Mark Meredith himself, met with me and my wife to review the completed work and explain the work that had been done.

As always, Mark came when scheduled and work was clearly done with attention to detail. Spotted missing screws in completely unrelated area from their job and had them add some screws to fix the missing portion at no extra cost. Highly recommended for the quality of their work.

Update 9/2022: I have used Mark many times over the past 15 years, but usually for smaller projects. This was a full kitchen remodel where we first contacted him in November 2021 with the intention of starting the actual demo/remodel in Spring 2022. He provided us with some insights on what to plan for, as well as some designers to consider. While we used a designer for the initial, rough design, we knew we were going to ask Mark for a custom built triangular corner cabinet. The demo work started late Spring 2022.

Cristian, Mark's foreman for the project, was excellent the entire way. He always made it clear what the next step was going to be, and why. We had the floor raised and leveled and Cristian ended up suggesting a wall versus just poles and new footers, because of the way our floor joists were constructed. This also allowed them to add shelves in the basement for us, which was an unexpected bonus. They then demoed the entire kitchen, including the old-plaster ceiling and reframed everything to be square and level.

Then Christian laid out the entire cabinet design since we contracted Mark to custom build all the cabinets for the kitchen instead of just the one corner unit. It was a good thing we did, because when he did that he noticed several design errors from the designer that would have been problematic if we had bought pre-built cabinets. However, Cristian was able to simply adapt the design on the fly and keep the kitchen looking great (Mark took lots of pictures during the process, so should be available on his website, but some included here of the finished project).

The project took close to 8 weeks from start of demolition to completion and we were extremely pleased with them the entire way. Cristian and his crew were always extremely attentive to details and always willing to work with us if we had questions or design thoughts (including discussing any merits or negatives of our thoughts, in case we were overthinking things!). We wouldn't hesitate to use Mark again and plan on having them back soon to do at least one bathroom remodel, as Marks' crews can handle electrical, plumbing, siding, etc. with no problems.

Mark and his enthusiastic team are punctual, hardworking, and very professional. We are very happy with the work they did on our house.

We've worked with Mark's team several times over the years to replace flooring in our 1st floor and to remodel 2 full bathrooms. They have been great to work with and are very thorough in protecting our furniture and cleaning up at the end of each day. When we had a ventilation issue after the bathroom remodel, Mark's team not only came as quickly as possible, but they fixed the issue quickly and at no additional cost to us.

Mark was super helpful and was always a phone call away if we had any questions. He even called mid job and asked how his crew was doing and if they were working to my satisfaction

Dago and Walter did such a fantastic job fixing our window and wall after a harrowing incident. And Mark came quickly to give us a quote. They were all incredibly professional. Very pleased with their work!

Mark is very responsive, returning my call for a quote that day and scheduling a visit to review the work within three days. His crew showed up exactly at the time stated and the four of them worked on multiple projects simultaneously (3 all together; repair rotted wood, rehang and paint 2 storm doors and securing a deck not originally done properly) so that all work was completed in one day. Mark came by that day to review the work with me personally. Highly recommended.

Mark’s team did an excellent job in replacing exterior wood trim and repainting my townhouse exterior at a fair price. The work was completed on time and Mark was highly responsive and communicated with me regularly regarding the substance and timing. I would use his company again.
