I was very pleased with the painting job Maison Construction did for me. The painters were excellent and the work was done quickly. The price was quite reasonable. Ken, the owner, responds quickly to calls or emails with questions during the process.

Love these guys! The owner is our neighbor and everyone involved is extremely good at their jobs. Attention to detail, making everything line up and look right before calling a job done is the way every time. So many companies now deliver shotty work and have little integrity, leaving the homeowner with unfinished or poorly excuted repairs/remodels. Not true with Maison! You will be so pleased with the work. We got new doors on our difficult 1950 home and they made everything line up. We need major wall repairs after a water issue. Now it all looks perfect!

Ken, Matt and crew were amazing! Our house is gorgeous! We gutted the kitchen and a bathroom, took out a wall and completely re-did our basement. I couldn’t be more pleased with both the craftsmanship and customer service we received from Maison. We are already planning our next projects for them to complete. Oh, I almost forgot that that also rebuilt our deck and turned two windows into French doors! Thank you guys so much!

Absolutely 5 stars for Maison Construction. Ken & his crew helped us achieve our renovation goals with high-quality work and craftsmanship. The project included adding a new wall and doorway to create a new office space and mudroom. We had a fan relocated, new lighting installed, and electrical outlets added. The entire downstairs flooring was replaced with LVP (Lifeproof - highly recommend) and we had 2 columns removed in the living room to create a more open feel. The entire project - framing, drywall installation, column removal, electrical work, and flooring installation - was completed within 2-3 weeks. I was really impressed with the initial assessment when Ken came to the house. He paid attention to the details that I mentioned during the walk through, and provided a very reasonably priced quote. He and his team had great communication throughout the project, answered all questions that I had and made sure to keep everything transparent, which I really appreciated. Ultimately, I decided to choose Maison Construction for this project because of the first impression I had, the quote provided, and the timeline that was outlined. I know things can always come up during projects, but Ken's team kept to the timeline that was laid out. It's been over 2 months since the project was completed - I am now working in my new office, and the space has really turned into exactly what I had envisioned before any work had been done. I am grateful that I chose Maison for this project and would recommend them to anyone looking for a home renovation. Will 100% be reaching back out for some other planned projects in the future!

Maison Construction recently finished our primary suite and laundry room addition. We are so pleased with the final result! From design to applying for permits and through the whole construction process, everyone at Maison was responsive and easy to work with. The construction itself is well done with attention to detail, and we will definitely use Maison for any future projects!

Ken was very knowledgeable and great to work with. He was very responsive and addressed any problems that arose during our project which was a concrete patio and shed behind our house. You should consider him and his team for your next project.

I had a few projects recently done by Maison, and I was very impressed with everything. My daughter had used them for some work at her home and she was also very pleased. I had the interior of my house painted, a rail on the front porch retrofitted to accommodate a ramp for my dog, and they put together the ramp that I had ordered. There were lots of "moving parts" for the work at my home and everything was communicated clearly and done to perfection. The employees were all very professional and pleasant, and they paid attention to all of the details. The price of the completed projects was very reasonable. I would have no hesitation recommending Maison for a variety of projects, and will use them again myself.

We used Maison for our recent attic renovation. Ken and the team did a fantastic job transforming our unfinished attic into a bedroom and office with a beautiful full bath, walk-in closet and lots of additional storage space. In addition to outstanding craftmanship, the entire team was professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. We love our new space and would definitely recommend working with Maison.

Working with Maison was better than we could have imagined. My husband and I usually do most home projects on our own since we have heard horror stories about working with contractors. But our project involved creating an opening and stairs into the garage from the main house to the unfinished space above our garage. This was not something we could do ourselves not with juggling work and kids. Originally, the space above the garage could only be accessed by deck stairs outside. This was not ideal for us. We have three boys and didn't want them to have to go outside to get to this room. We wanted to create a recreation room for this space, a place for our family to hang out. We had multiple area contractors come to give us a quote. Most of them didn't want to tackle doing the stairs. They offered to finish the room but not do the stairs. Either we wouldn't hear back from them or they gave us quotes that were enough to build a brand new house. We had given up hope on finding a contractor so we decided just to contract somebody to do the stairs and we would do the rest ourselves. Initially, we were asking Ken for a quote just for the stairs. But he wanted to do the whole job. Our first impression of Ken was that he was a good guy so we took a leap of faith because we had become very skeptical of all contractors at that point. Maison pleasantly surprised us. Their work was ahead of schedule and meticulous. Ken and his crew were professional and a pleasure to work with. They exceeded our expectations. They were mindful to our work and family schedule. We would not hesitate to use them again. We recommend them for any home project you may have.

Ken and team just did a full rebuild of the porch of our 1925 home. The proposal process was great, and crystal clear, with good options which showed he listened to our needs. Ken gave us updates throughout the process via text, sending me photos when he needed my input. The guys on his team were professional and on time every morning, and did a few extras just 'cause it made it better. Once the old platform was removed, we discovered that the frame had been "creatively" repaired in the past and needed to be rebuilt. The additional work was transparently priced, done quickly, and very sturdy. The final product is beautiful and will last a life time. And it was done on schedule.

Ken and his team were so professional from beginning to end. We hired Maison to complete a second floor addition on our home that ran from February-June. The timeline Ken gave us up front was spot on, which I know is not the norm for any construction project - so we were very happy when every wrapped up within the estimated time frame. We are very pleased with the end product and are enjoying our new space!

We hired Maison to renovate our kitchen, the first major project we had ever done on a house. From the start, Ken and Maison were great. He helped walk us through the process from start to finish with great communication every step of the way. Living in an older home (built in the 1940s), we encountered quite a few unknowns during demolition. Ken’s team was fantastic about communicating our options and developing plans to overcome any obstacles without deviating too far from our original design. Not only did the Maison team finish ahead of schedule, our kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Maison was very attentive to detail and genuinely thoughtful about each decision during the process. I felt as though the team considered the project as if they were working on their own kitchen. We absolutely love how everything turned out and are extremely satisfied.

Maison is definitely one of the premier renovation contractors in Richmond. These guys aren't your typical contractors who show up in an old truck, 2 hours late, and do the job half-ass. They're pros. Seriously. Down to their branding, customer service and quality of work. You get what you pay for and Maison is well worth your money if you want the job done right.

Ken and his team did an amazing job. They were all such a pleasure to work with, I would absolutely use Maison again for a future renovation. We actually got a quote from another company that was lower, however after talking it through with Ken I knew that his quote was the most realistic and the project did in fact completely stick to the proposed budget.
