Mac Builders

Shawn McKay of Mac Builders was hired and given very detailed, engineered plans to install a simple water main line. It's hard to imagine how one could screw up a detailed plan as bad as this was. Shawn deviated from the plan, didn't ask permission, didn't tell anyone and installed the line well inside the next door neighbors property line (vacant lot) and no where near where the plans called out. He didn't dig the trench deep enough. He didn't back fill appropriately. He didn't install valve box or valve inside property. I don't think he could have messed up more if he were trying. Of course the neighbor insisted it be corrected once we all found out what they had done. Shawn initially said he would fix it - in 6 months! After patiently waiting those 6 months, he then refused to take any corrective action. The level of incompetence is absurd. The lack of accountability appalling. We ended up having to hire a new contractor to fix his ridiculous negligence.
