Had a recent problem with one of my three whole house fans. They responded quickly and were able to fix a switch likely damaged by a HECO surge. The fan works perfectly. Their service was excellent.

Ordered screen and they were able to deliver it to my house. Great service.

Installing our whole house fans about 5 years ago has definitely been one of the best investments we have made. We use the fans just about every day and other than one recent switch fail which was fixed promptly, we have had no problems. The fans keep our house comfortable to the point of almost never having to use the ceiling fans. This is truly an economical and effective system and we highly recommend it.

We met with Al at the BIA show and we scheduled for a estimate for fans. We sat down and he went over everything that he would recommend for our house.
We live in the Kaimuki area and our house holds the heat in. Every afternoon we have to run the A/C to cool down our house. NOW with our new solar fans we noticed a 100% difference inside our home. We had the house fan installed by Island Cooling 4 years ago. We run it all the time with no problem. It suddenly stopped working and we could not get it back on. Called Island Cooling who answered us right away (a big plus in today's market environment), sent over a new remote and we were able to get it set up and working within 3 days. Excellent Service!

I purchased a whole office air filter from Islandcooling in 2020, and the product is great. Our 9 year old whole house fan, installed by Island Cooling, have developed timer malfunction that requires replacement. I was able to reached Ivan and he immediately scheduled a visit the following day to replace the timers. Service was very fast and all my WHF are functioning very well in time for summer.

We have the whole house cooling system since 2020. We recently had a problem with two out of the three fans in our home. They would not turn on. We called the guys at Island Cooling and they immediately knew what the problem was, the timer switches fot messed up during one of the power outages we had. Ivan came the very next day and replaced the switches and only charged us for the parts.
The service we received was quick and remedied the problem.

I've had house fans for over five years and getting them was one of the best decisions I've ever made. As soon as I turn them on, a nice breeze comes through the house. I've never had an issue with the fans, but I did have an issue with the timer switch. Island Cooling replaced the switch with one day of reporting the issue. Great customer service and a great product.

We just moved into a house that felt like a sauna in the afternoon and had a ventless attic that reached 130 degrees. Our newly installed AC’s helped but only very little. In November of 2020, due to Hawaii's terrible humidity and high cost of electric from A/C use, I reached out to Island Cooling for help. Ivan educated me on how Whole House Fans work and helped me design and install an entire system of Whole House Fans throughout my house. I still have split system A/C's in my home but don't use them anymore. The cost of using these fans are way lower on the electric bill than using A/C as my electric bill is still super low inspite of using the fans regularly. These fans really do a great job of cooling down our whole house quickly and we prefer the feel of natural cool air vs A/C (sometimes it can feel too cold). Weve had our system for almost 3 years and its still running solid! Ivan was very responsive, informative and professional and I highly recommend Island Cooling.

Who'd think attic fans would make such a difference in cooling your home? We are pleased with both the product and the service. The fans make a huge difference in keeping our home comfortable. We turn on the fans when it is hot and can immediately feel the difference. We use the fans first to cool the house, then use the AC's to dehumidify and maintain a comfortable temperature, saving $$ on energy costs. Sometimes I won't even have to run the AC's.
When we needed service to replace a switch or check the fans after a roofing job, Al was quick to respond. I highly recommend this product and the company!

The installation was quick. I was worried that there might be a lot of dust when they cut the ceiling, but they brought a wet/dry vac and used floor coverings. If you're looking at installing solar attic fans, consider whole house fans instead.

Great customer service and prompt response! With the HECO power outages the timer on one of the fans broke. This is the first issue I’ve had over the past 10 years of having the whole house cooling fans installed. Ivan came out and replaced the timer in 15 minutes and also provided additional information and suggestions on how we could save even more electricity.

I love the whole house fan that I bought from Island Cooling. It kept my family super comfortable in Makaha. I even used it to vent the house super fast when my wife burnt some food. I’ll definitely buy another one for my next property, totally worth it.

I can certainly recommend Island Cooling. The cooling system they installed really does make a difference in lowering the temperature, and they are always quick to follow up on any maintenance work.

We first installed the Stealth1.5 to cool a bedroom that faced the afternoon sun. It worked so well that we installed a Stealth 2.5 for an interior bedroom. We also added an attic roof fan for the whole house. We use the app to monitor the attic temperature which is set to 77degrees. The whirring sound reminds us that the system is automatically cooling the attic, and the house doesn't feel humid or stuffy as it did before. We use ceiling fans, as needed, but we have no AC.

We are very happy with our system from Island Cooling. Our house is way cooler then before we had the system. Mostly simple to install and you have two options for controls. You can go with wired switches or wireless. Ivan is easy to work with, he is knowledgeable and helpful in every way. They will ship to other islands as well. I would recommend it!!

Purchased & installed whole house Quiet Cool fan system, use them 24-7 very pleased with them so far, summer heat is just around the corner so hope we won’t have to use our AC too much.

Installing attic fans was the best improvement to our home! Especially now that the weather is getting warmer, having the attic fans is just as good as having AC - plus it's more energy efficient & healthier without filters that can accumulate mold and dust. Advise and installation went fine. When one of the control units failed after not much use, the first response was that we needed to get it repaired. My husband got on the phone and then they decided to send a replacement unit for free, which he fitted. Maybe if you live in Maui, be prepared to do a little haggling even though the units are guaranteed. I asked if someone could look at one of the fans/ducts in one bedroom because it was noisier that the others. They were reluctant to send anyone out to inspect it. They did give me a lot of advice on what I should do. I tried some of the things as advised, but it is still noisy (I don't want too go crawling up into loft at my age) I think you guys should get someone in at no cost.

Al explained everything thoroughly and walked me through the installation process of a whole house fan. We ended up installing two fans based on our needs and wants. Follow up was great, fans are wonderful! Great alternative to installing air conditioning.

Put in a whole house cooling system. Works great at keeping the house cool. Workers and Ivan are so very nice and polite. System really takes out hot air and smells from cooking. So happy with our system.

ivan & his staff were on their game. we wanted to install a whole house fan, however we were running into roadblocks w/ our HOA. ivan gave us the venting requirements, however the HOA said anything visible from the street was common property. we still want to use "Island Cooling", but we are going to have to figure out another solution that would be acceptable to the HOA.

Island Cooling came to our house, listened to what we wanted, and provided us with a quote for cooling our house. We ended up moving and did not proceed with installation, but we were happy with all that they did for us.

Island Cooling installed a whole house cooling system not Airconditioning. Installation included roof vents and electrical work, it’s impressive how cool the house gets. People are always surprised that it’s not Airconditioning.

I called Island Cooling because my house was sometimes hotter than outside. Ivan came to the house, looked around and luckily had a new fan product for vaulted ceilings. I contacted Ivan with the intention of having a whole house fan system installed .
I thought that I had done my due diligence with research on the product and was ready to go ahead and order the system for delivery.
Ivan asked me some questions about my house and actually looked it up online and was able to remotely do measurements of the attic and interior gables. The specs showed him that my intended system wouldn’t work and he explained what would work.
I went with a QuietCool AFG SMT ES-3.0
Smart Attic Gable Fan and some accompanying interior gable registers.
The fan arrived next day and I had it installed and synced with phone the following day.
There was a very noticeable difference with just this one fan.

A attic fan was installed, two new roof vents, plus new solar roof fan - very pleased with outstanding service. Seemed pricy until I was give a detailed written estimate, then it made sense. I would highly recommend as did the mainland fan manufacturer.

Update: I've had my Whole Home Cooling for about 5 years now and two of the three fans stopped working. Ivan came right away and troubleshot the problem quickly. Turns out the issues were with the controller and remote. He used parts that were stocked in his van, and the problems were solved! He even went up into my attic to ensure that everything looked and was working okay. Excellent service you can count on once again!

My experience with Island Cooling was the best! Ivan advised me on the most effective and economical solution to cool my house, and the system was installed as promised. We’ve found that Whole home cooling is a great alternative to air conditioning. Totally recommend Island Cooling!

The fan didn’t turn on after non-use during cooler months. Via phone call, owner diagnosed recommended a timer replacement and that was done. However, still not happy with loud rumbling sound of fan motor on even medium setting so have been avoiding using high setting. Wish something can be done to buffer that sound so highest setting can be utilized on hot days as summer approaches. Followup : the technician arrived to do maintenance/testing of the system. I learned higher settings are used in crowded, noisy rooms and that day to day setting at low. Then to address loud rumbling sound, technician went into the attic to face the fan away from the original direction. Although improved, I still hear some rumbling.

We had one of our switches go out on our whole home fan system.. Place an online request and they responded very quickly. The technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took care of our problem and answered all our questions. He even gave us some tips on how to maintain our system. Glad we have them on our team.
