Our gable vent flew off in the wind and M and Son construction came the next day promptly with a very reasonable cost. Would definitely use again and so appreciated how quickly they fixed this issue for us!

We hired M & Son to repair rotted siding and facia on our home. Carlos, Rich and their team were incredibly timely from start to finish. Not something I’ve been accustomed to with this type of job.

We hired M & Son Construction to install snow guards on our metal roof and were very pleased with their work. They were extremely responsive throughout the entire project, from the estimate phase through the final inspection of the roof work. They were upfront about cost and timelines and answered all of our questions in detail. Rich was very proactive and responsive, a key factor in why we hired M & Son Construction, as we had called several other construction companies for quotes and received no response. M & Son Construction proved that they cared about their customer and took their work seriously, two factors we greatly appreciated in their service. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for experienced contractors for their construction projects.

Carlos and his crew built a full dormer on our 1950’s cape and did an incredible job! They jumped right in and they were very willing to tackle any part of the project and did so at a fair price. I did feel as though I had to communicate a lot to be sure it was all going as I planned but Carlos always replied to texts or calls quickly. And the crew worked quickly too. We are so happy with the outcome and would definitely hire them again for a future project!

M & Son did an incredible job on our 1880’s house. They had to rip down a falling 100 year-old front porch and rebuilt it. They made the house feel modern and beautiful. They also redid our siding and our home now feels like a new house. M & Son were great to work with. They were commutative and most importantly—honest. And their crew is so friendly and hardworking.

M & Son replaced our rubber roof and decking underneath and did a perfect job! They did high quality work and completed the job quickly. They communicated well throughout the entire process and cleaned up everything after they were done. We will definitely work with M & Son again in the future if we have any more construction needs.

I had a great experience with these people on a big job on an old barn. They rebuilt my roof, put on excellent shingles, rebuilt my upper floor, replaced 5 windows and a door, added a seamless gutter and re-sided one side of the barn.

They performed in every way and did exactly what they said on time and on budget.

It is refreshing to see such hard working people who truly care about the quality. They used top shelf materials at a very fair price.

The M and Son team offered courteous, reliable estimates for a large project. Although I ended up going with a different company, M and Son stood out from the rest for their professionalism and fast turnaround. Their estimate was competitive with others I received.

We need our roof done. They did an amazing job. It needed a lot of extra work as some areas were in pretty bad shape. They finished the job sooner than expected and at less cost than expected.

Carlos and his crew were absolutely wonderful to work with! They replaced my asphalt roof, gutters, as well as some rotted wood and cedar shingles. The roof was really tricky with crazy dormers and details, and they did an excellent job with it. Their quality of work was great, and they were really patient and helpful with answering all of my questions and concerns. I’d definitely recommend them!

I’ve had this company do several projects for me and each time have been very pleased with the results. Carlos and his teams do excellent work and pay attention to details. Carlos works hard to make sure that his customers are pleased with his work. I highly recommend M and Son Construction for roofing, decks, porches, and siding as those are the types of projects that I’ve had them do. Given what I have experienced, I also will not hesitate to hire M and Son Construction for any of my interior remodeling needs.

Update - October 2023

Sadly, This review needs to be updated. Less than six months after completion things are starting to go wrong. Finishes are coming off the products used. The crew did not use galvanized nails for this exterior project so hundreds of spots are rusting. New PVC fascia has cracked. Seams were sealed with caulking and have becoming nothing short of grimy and unsightly already.
Nails were used on the face of siding rather than being hidden under the board above it. There are white finger marks on the roof shingles where someone that did not wash the caulking off their hands held the roof to steady themselves on the scaffolding. The structure is still sturdy and better off than before, but we have had to hire someone else to replace some of the work done by M and Son.

We hired Carlos and company for a small residing job. We got scheduled earlier than expected due to a cancellation in their schedule. Within 15 minutes of arrival a major issue occurred that was unforeseen (issue was on our end). Carlos had every right to move the crew and return when all the materials and adequate time were available. Instead, he pivoted on the spot and within an hour the job was underway. The crew worked really hard, put in long days, and tried to be accommodating. Although the job ended up being larger and required more material and time than expected, the job got finished expeditiously. Carlos checked in with us to ensure we were getting what we wanted and to inform us of next steps.

I appreciate the handshake contract Carlos and I agreed upon resulting in superb workmanship in the installation of our new roof. Several of our neighbors commented upon the strong work ethic of his team. They took care not to disturb our plants and bushes, attending to detail in both removing the old and setting in place new architectural shingles. They left our yard in the same condition which they found it. We could not be more pleased with our new look, which has added value to our home. We highly recommend M and Son. You will not find a more reputable roofing contractor who delivers better communication skills and customer service than Carlos.

Carlos knocked out a bunch of exterior work for me in short amount of time and at a very fair price. I am really happy with the quality of their work. They replaced rotting deck boards and stairs, installed a new vinyl fence, and cleaned up the property for me when they were done the work.

Our new roof looks fabulous . We are so pleased! Carlos was very responsive and professional. The crew was incredibly hard working, worked as a team and knew just what to do. When the roof was completed the cleanup; yard, gardens and shrubs where just as they were before.

Carlos and his crew were fantastic. They resided our house, added some insulation, and put in two new doors. He responds quickly to emails and calls and the work gets done in a timely manner. If it weren’t for some rain they would have finished in a week. The quality appears to be excellent and people keep commenting on the job.

Carlos and crew are the best! We have hired them four times, and every time has been great. The people he hires are professional, extremely hard working, and polite. We look forward to hiring them again.

Carlos is prompt, responsive and professional, and his team is the hardest working crew we've ever met! Full roof replacement on 4BR home in two full (almost 12 hour) days. They're a well-oiled machine, with each team member hustling around doing his/her part, with no wasted time or motion. Some rot was discovered in the wall where it meets the roof and they took care of that carpentry work as well. Clean-up was about as perfect as can be expected with such a messy job. Highly recommend!

Carlos and his amazing crew did a full exterior house and garage renovation for me. Rigid insulation, vinyl siding. New window casements, with aluminum wrap on all, plus the crown molding. They built out my roof front overhang 18" with soffit venting, new drip edge and ice & water shield. Also my four basement windows were replaced, requiring the concrete rough openings to be enlarged by hand. Again new framing and metal wrap on these.

The old adage about renovations is you have to choose two out of three on quality, speed, and price. Incredibly, you get all three with M and Son, plus excellent and clear communication throughout. They've earned my highest possible rating and recommendation.

Carlos and his team did an incredible job replacing part of my roof after it was damaged in a storm. The turnaround for a quote was quick, their prices were competitive, and they were able to do the work on short notice right before another big winter storm hit. Everyone I interacted with was professional, friendly, and very hard working. The roof looks great. I'd recommend them without hesitation.

Update July 2024 - Based on my positive experience with this company, I asked for a quote for a few projects this summer. They have since brought on a sales person. The turnaround time for an estimate was three weeks (was previously a few days) and the estimates I received were significantly higher than what I expected based on previous experience (and well beyond the range of what I had budgeted). I still stand by the great work they do, just wouldn't say it's a great value anymore or that the turnaround is quick.

I had a Energy Audit done on Friday morning January 27, 2023z I reached out to a friend for a recommendation for a roof repair, and he gave me Carlos contact info. Carlos had replaced his roof recently. I called Carlos and he stopped by on his way home that day. He repaired my major leak the next day.

His pricing was less than I had expected, and he did a very good repair replacing not only the flashing, but plywood and trusses.

M&Sons Construction removed rotting wood shakes and replaced them with new wood clapboard siding. They also made other minor exterior repairs and then painted the house and installed the shutters.

M&Soms did very high quality work and I can fully recommend them. Carlos (the owner) is very responsive and a pleasure to work with.
