The worst! Didn’t tarp the roof when it rained so water was all over the living room hardwoods, 4 months later someone fixed the interior. Then around the fireplace & den massive leaks, he didn’t properly seal around the fireplace or put down water proof seal.
It gets worse, not licensed or bonded & as you can imagine does not answer or return calls!!

How I would describe hiring Lyons construction & roofing? Three words rise to the top: stress, terrible, & warning. I'm not one for long posts (mostly because I don't read them myself...) but as a warning to folks in the community, I want to share this one.

Stress: During our over 6 month stretch working with this company we were constantly left for weeks with no communication on when (or if) they would come back to work on the project. Wouldn't answer calls (a lot of worried calls). For literally weeks. Wouldn't respond to emails. Scary times since we gave 50% down up front.

Terrible: We contracted them to replace a deck at our home. Over 6 months to complete. Sometimes random people would show up and be working at our house. The quality was poor, they even had to redo parts of the project. Among other things, they covered dryer vents completely without cutting holes. It was wild. They cut corners, didn't repair areas they caused damage. Bad experience.

Warning: If you are in a pinch and desperately need a contractor/roofing company/etc... still don't hire these guys. Won't be worth it. Here is some pictures to tell part of the story. They crushed through sprinkler wire and pipe and left it for us to find in the spring. Another one, covered up dryer vent...but the list of follow up repair costs is long and expensive.

Patrick installed a new presidential shingles roof after replacing a few rotten boards. His team also removed the dryer vent and rerouted in under and out of the side of our house. The cleanup after the work was done was superb. I would highly recommend Patrick, his work team and his dog
for your next roof. We now have the "sexiest roof in the neighbor.

Patrick and crew did an amazing job. Tells you exactly what you need to hear, doesn't try and upsell; just politely lays out all your options. The work was performed incredibly quickly and to a very high quality. Will definitely use them again!

Patrick and his crew replaced the fascia and put a new roof on my mom's mobile home. Patrick really knows what he's talking about when it comes to roofing materials and type of roof needed. I also hired him to replace the gutters on my home and I've had no more leaking problems or ice dams. I recommend him to those seeking quality roofing work.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
