I needed my bathroom remodeled. Anthony was lower than the other 2 contractors I talked to. He was also more detailed and professional than the others.
The work was done quickly although it was winter. He pointed out issues along the way and asked if I wanted to fix them or live with them.
The end result was clean and professional.
After that I asked him to do 2 more small jobs, painting and drywall. Both were done quickly with good results.

Lozado Contracting did an excellent job refinishing the basement in my dad’s home. The quality of the workmanship exceeded my expectations. They transformed the basement into a beautiful, functional and livable space.

A lot of people say they "rarely write reviews" and that absolutely applies to me. It takes a truly great experience for me to spend the time writing a review and this was definitely one of those times.

My parents had a badly leaking toilet and my father has severe medical issues that requires him to stay on the first floor while having access to a reliable bathroom. Due to the nature of said toilet, I recommended they contact a plumber to ensure the work is done right. The earliest any plumber had available was a couple days out.

Anthony of Lozado Contracting is currently doing a full renovation of my sister's home so I asked her to get in contact with him to see if he could provide an estimate and when or if he could send someone by to check it out. Less than an hour later, he said he was in the area and would stop by himself. 15 minutes later, he was knocking on my door.

After removing the toilet and inspecting the damage, he was quickly able to diagnose what was needed to resolve the leak, ran out to grab the parts to replace, and fixed it quickly. Zero leaks since. His professionalism, friendliness, skill, and effort to go above and beyond what I ever would have expected someone to do has resulted in me highly recommending him and his company to my friends and family. I really can't recommend him enough and my sister has had nothing but positive things to say about him as well. You won't be disappointed giving Lozado Contracting your business as well.

I could not be more pleased with the work done in my home by Lozado Contracting. Anthony was responsive and came by the same day to provide an estimate and talk through a five room dry-wall and painting project.
He explained everything on the walk-through and made the schedule work for us by setting clear expectations for how long it would take on the two-day project. He and his team went to great care to keep our clean home during all the activity and do quality work. I have full confidence in Lozado's abilities to handle small and large projects and would not hesitate to reach out to them again if there is a need.

My husband and I had a great experience with Lozado Contracting! Our water heater burst on Saturday so we gave Anthony and his team a call. He went above and beyond to get our hot water running by Sunday evening. Very professional and (because I'm curious about fixing things around the house) very patient with explaining the process to me and answering my questions.

Anthony and his team did a great job on our bathroom. Anthony is very responsive and works with you through each step of the project. He worked with us to get the project in range of our budget. His team were polite and respectful of our home and got the project done faster and more affordably than all the other companies offered us.

Great work on our small and humble bathroom. It feels much fresher and better and we are happy with the work this company has done!

Update 02/27/23:

I believe that everyone has a chance for redemption and in the essence of transparency, I wanted to update my original review. Anthony was referred to me by a coworker who recommended his work and attested to his professionalism.

I will start off by saying that this project was not for me, but for my aunt who is the homeowner. My aunt relayed to me that there were communication (or lack thereof) issues which caused me to attempt to reach out to Anthony to get them resolved. I called Anthony multiple times from a different phone number (which is probably the only reason he answered). I advised him that my Aunt and I were unhappy with his workers and the lack of communication. The day I actually spoke with Anthony, I realized that his workers packed up all their tools and had no plans to return. Anthony apologized and showed up a few hours later for a site inspection. Upon completing the inspection, he advised me all the work that was previously done by his workers would need to be demo'd and done over again. It was clear the workers he originally sent for this project had no idea what they were doing and he took a gamble sending them. This obviously set the project back another week.

Anthony sent another crew the next day and this crew was lightyears BETTER than the previous. They installed carpet protectors, were more cautious with the walls and furniture, and took steps to keep the cement and drywall dust contained. This second crew was hardworking and completed the job start to finish in about 8 days. The bathroom is gorgeous and just what my aunt wanted.

In the end, Anthony did take steps to correct the issue quickly and we do appreciate that. He was also very helpful suggesting color/tile choices and offering his opinion as to what would work best. Moving forward, would we hire Anthony again? Probably. His work speaks for itself. I just wish the communication was better. This whole experience would have been less nerve wracking.

We signed a contract with Anthony to do a bathroom remodel approximately three weeks ago. We were told the job would take 8-12 days. We are now on day 15 and the contractors he’s sent out have sat in the bathroom for multiple days and have not completed anything. They’ve gotten concrete dust all over the basement and have yet to clean it up. Anthony was paid half upfront and has not returned calls, texts, or emails. The contractors have now failed to show up. Now we have an unfinished bathroom with ripped up concrete and no answers. Very unprofessional.

Scheduled a walkthrough and it was cancelled the day of, not a big deal. Rescheduled and planned a weekend around being at the new house for the rescheduled walkthrough and they once again did not show up. My multiple texts were ignored for several days, I even texted the day before and received no response. Very frustrating experience.

We live in the basement unit of a historic townhome and the window had rotted away and there were several cracks in the walls allowing water to flood in. Everyone at Lozado really went above and beyond to help us get things waterproofed and fixed. They took care of the exterior cracks immediately. We had to wait several months for a replacement window to come in, but once it did, we were scheduled and the work was completed in three days (window, mold removal, drywall repair and paint). Overall very professional, communicative, and attentive. We will definitely be using them again for future projects!

Anthony and team were recommended to me by a friend, after our ceiling had started leaking the night before. They were able to arrive within a few hours of calling, covered my furniture with clean sheeting, and began assessing the issue. All in all, the main issue was the HVAC drain clogging up, leading to the water to flow onto the water heater, and into a cracked overflow pan. Because my water heater was near end of life anyway, they replaced the water heater, cleaned the HVAC drain, and replaced the overflow pan. Additionally, they also helped replace a cracked garbage disposal, fixed our toilet, and addressed a water hammer sound when the hot water was turned on in the guest bathroom sink. They also repaired the ceiling drywall, and painted it so well that you can't tell there was a cut hole. Anthony is also a mold treatment specialist so he knew how to prevent mold from growing in the affected wood structure in the ceiling

His team was extremely professional, and were patient in answering questions. If there was a language barrier, they were resourceful through the use of modern technology (google translate, ftw!) and called the main office to better explain the issue at hand to any questions/concerns I had.

I would turn to Anthony and team at Lozado Contracting again for any future, major home repairs and would recommend them to others!

Anthony is the man. After moving into a DC row home that needed a lot of work, Anthony and his team were a God send. I first hired him to renovate our master bathroom and we were so impressed we quickly hired him again to do 2 more bathrooms, then again to replace a patio door, and then once more to resurface our fireplace.

Anthony's work is well-priced (after getting a lot of quotes, we generally found he came in around the middle pricewise) and well executed. His final pricing is always exactly what was quoted up front. After working with him on so many projects, he's honestly become quite the family friend of ours! I've since recommended him to two other friends who needed work done to their newly purchased homes and each also had similarly positive experiences.

Anthony is always kind, professional and great about communicating expectations as the project goes on. Most importantly, I've been impressed with his follow through after projects are done. Some contractors walk out, take the check and wash their hands of you - but not Anthony! If I've noticed a little thing that needs tweaking after the project is complete, he always quickly sends someone back to take care of it.

Anthony and his team were able to quickly diagnose the problem with our shower and acquire the proper replacement parts. They were timely and incredibly experienced. They also took the time to explain the issue and how to fix it myself in the future. I especially appreciate that I can text Anthony the issues and we can work through them to determine what is needed before he schedules a visit.

I would highly recommend this company for home remodeling or contracting work. We moved into our new house and needed work on our roof and some minor things fixed in the house as well. Anthony is very responsive and professional. The work was done promptly and they made sure to clean up.

Lozado Contracting painted the entirety of the first floor of our house. After chatting with the owner they were able to start work the very next day. They showed up on time, the paint work was phenomenal, they sanded and filled all of the holes, went above and beyond to touch up the trim. They finished on schedule and gave us the best price of anyone else that I had contacted. The crew worked quickly and diligently and did a great job cleaning up. We were living in the space within a day of getting started.

I was referred to Lozado contracting by a neighbor in my building in DC. Our condo building was built in the 50s and incorporated floor to ceiling windows before the age of air conditioners. Without a doubt, over the past few decades the windows were retrofitted to fit window a/c units.

It was finally time for me to upgrade to two 100lb+ window units and I came to realize it's not as easy as taking out the old units and sliding in the new units. It required woodwork, new custom metal panels, lots of sawing, and a 25ft ladder. Most importantly, because my condo faces the parking area where there are people walking at all times, I needed an insured contractor. Anthony provided all his insurance documents, and my wife, a commercial insurance advisor, confirmed everything. Then an estimate was done rather quickly over the phone as his team has done the project before with two other neighbors. I also scheduled an estimate for a small gut job, but due to unexpected family issues on Anthony's side, we never got around to it. Therefore, I never actually met him in person throughout this particular project.

The day (7/29/19) finally came and Anthony sent two of his team members over. Jose and his assistant were very professional, and very organized and clean. It took them about two days to finish the project. They even painted the interior wood panels to match my wall. I was definitely not expecting that surprise! When they were done, they discarded all the old units, the unnecessary materials, and boxes; and thoroughly cleaned the area.

Everything looked great on the inside and outside. However the foot that stabilizes the heavy duty bracket on one of the A/C units did not sit completely flush on the exterior ledge. I texted Anthony the picture and he replied back that it should be ok and would not fall. I took his words for it.

Fast forward about 8 months, the foot did indeed slip off the ledge causing the bracket to fall loose, and the 100lb+ unit was left dangling. Thankfully, Jose nailed the custom wood panel into the metal panel, and screwed in the top of the A/C unit onto them. It was enough to keep it settled, but I could definitely see inside panels concaving slightly outwards gradually. Needless to say, I had a slight heart attack as I was extremely concerned about the unit falling on to somebody from the third floor.

I phoned Anthony at about 1:00PM on saturday (4/11/20) and he returned my call almost immediately. He assured me that it wouldn’t fall and he will have someone to fix it immediately on the same day. Jose came back along with three of his team members that same evening (4:30PM).

I was really impressed. This time he reinforced it completely with wood under the unit and inside the bracket, and painted it to match the exterior of the window unit. He also double checked the other unit he installed and apparently stabilized some more.

To be honest, I was only expecting one person to come by, reconfigure the bracket and go home. I was not expecting all this extra work being done. The most impressive part was that Anthony sent his team over immediately amid the pandemic, and not to mention, on a saturday afternoon.

Yes, the job should have been done right the first time, especially since there was a safety concern. However, how he actually resolved the issue won my business for future projects. This means that when an actual large and expensive project is complete, Anthony will still warrant his work and take care of any concerns.

We contracted with Lozado Contracting for the installation of all new appliances in our kitchen.
We scheduled an appointment with Anthony for a visit to scope the project. After discussing the project, Anthony was able to provide us with an estimate in a few weeks. This was close to the holidays so it’s possible that he was gone for a while.
Fast forward to the day before installation and the delivery truck showed up with one of the appliances missing. I contacted Anthony to let him know that we would have to reschedule his work for when I could get all out appliances delivered. After sorting out the issue with delivery, we rescheduled the installation for the following week. Anthony scheduled his crew to arrive 9-10am.
On the day of installation the crew arrived timely at 9am. After reviewing the scope one final time, the crew got right to work. These pros were careful, skilled, communicated well and frequently, and demonstrated great ingenuity when issues came up. They worked through without taking breaks and did not leave until the project was completed. Anthony called me on the phone to check in on his crew and made himself available in case I needed to discuss any issues with him.
In all it was a great experience. Dealing with Anthony was a great experience, and the crew who completed my project was commendable in every way.
I will not hesitate to contact Lozado Contracting for all my future home remodeling needs.

After our basement was waterproofed, we needed a contractor to install new dry wall, repair framing work, demo the remaining tile in order to level the floor. All the estimates provided by other contractors were exorbitant that my husband started to do some of the work during his spare time. We found Anthony through a neighbor. His quote was reasonable. His team was professional and worked efficiently to complete the work. Anthony was involved throughout the process to ensure we were satisfied with the result. We will hire his team for the next phase of work which is to tile the floor and the area around the tub.

Lozano Contracting was recommended to me by a home inspector. It was the best information I have gotten in along time. I just purchased a house 2 months ago and there were 3 things the seller didn’t repair. I called Anthony and he came the day and the time we agreed upon. He was extremely friendly. Lozado Contracting did excellent work for me in re-staining my existing backyard deck, as well as my front yard picket fence. It was getting late in the season, and Anthony was extremely flexible in working with me to find a day (well, actually it ended up being several days!) that was warm enough for the stain to cure and free of rain for 24 hours after application. It was a challenge, but he and his crew really came through to work with my timing needs, despite needing to juggle several simultaneous jobs.

Anthony has been great at fixing multiple issues in my condo. He's very thorough with his work, gets it done right the first time, and takes care to ensure the process is as painless as possible. Additionally, he's fair in his pricing and is always trying to make sure you aren't needlessly spending money on replacements that could be easily repaired. This far he's fixed plumbing issues, replaced recessed lighting in my home, fixed some electrical issues, and I will be using him to fix my flooring. Highly recommended and very reliable.

We found Lozado Contracting through a home ownership program, where he was listed as an approved contractor. Prior to reaching out to Anthony, we received several astronomical quotes and contractors that wanted to tear apart our floors to complete this job. Anthony was able to figure out a safe and affordable way to complete the repairs without needing to tear up the floors or cause a major headache.

We were so impressed with Anthony and his team that we hired him for both major and minor repairs since. Lozado Contracting replaced the fence surrounding our home well below the cost of another major fence co and, sealed our skylights because they leaked water into our ceiling. All throughout, Anthony and his team were very friendly and answered any questions and concerns we had all throughout the process. Anthony consistantly provided his services at very affordable prices. Plus, they completed the work very quickly. While Anthony was fixing the skylights he noticed our gutters needed to be cleaned and suggested his team could install gutter guards to cut back on the need to clean them in the future. I thought this project would need to be done another day but after I said we would like this done his team was able to complete it the same day.

Anthony installed water on our roof deck and is the process of finding us mini split A/C unit for one of the rooms (he'll be installing it as well). Anthony has been great to work with - very responsive, patient (as I asked a lot of dumb questions), and willing to teach us along the way. His crew has been very professional and respectful. They arrive on time and have been incredibly tidy. I would recommend Anthony and his crew happily. He was even willing to go back to the drawing board and find a different AC unit when I changed my mind on where I wanted it installed (and therefore needed it to be a different size).

Anthony was great! I would recommend them to my grandma if needed. Very honest, I had some garage issues that I needed help with. Anthony was not only honest with telling me how simple it was to fix and told me that I can do it, he also took the time to fix it himself since I didn’t have any tools to do it. He didn’t even charge me for the work. It’s rare to find people that are honest. He could have easily told me I needed to fix the whole thing but he didn’t.

2. Quality of work crews - crewman was polite, professional, worked the entire time with no complaints whatsoever. If he had a question he referred to me as "Ms" which is a sure sign of respect.
3. Integrity - Repairs were discussed at length and inspection of property for repairs was thorough and discussed in detail. There were no changes to the bid which saved me from any additional out-of-pocket expenses.
