Lonestar Siding & Windows

Lonestar recently completed the siding on my custom-built shed. Really outstanding job! I spent 8 years as a residential builder back in the early 2000s and I can say the quality of materials and workmanship is top notch. Jake, the super on the job, was fantastic to work with. Always kept me informed, prompt, respectful, very tidy with the job site, and does beautiful work. The only thing I regret is not having Lonestar do this job sooner (kept hoping to get the time to do it myself)!

Lonestar replaced our columns and handrails. Our situation was a little tricky, however, Jake made it all work wonderfully. Highly recommend!

Lonestar installed our new storm door, wrapped all of the trim, and repaired and wrapped the trim on another door. Lonestar installed siding on our entire home and a front door and a kitchen window along with finishing my front porch. I cannot say enough good things about this company! They came out when they said they would. They completed the whole job for the price they quoted. The men that came to do the work were nice and polite and very professional! Cleaned up everything when they were done and left nothing but a great job! I recommend Lonestar Siding & Window Company whenever anyone asks if I know a good contractor!

Lonestar replaced our storm door. Worth every penny for their professionalism, communication, and craftsmanship. Will definitely be using Lonestar again for home projects in the future.

Jake from Lonestar did a great job of repairing my siding that was damaged due to a vehicle accident. It was professionally done including the clean-up. They did the installation so it was a no-brainer to have them do the repairs. GREAT JOB!!!

Everything went smooth from beginning to end. Replaced 25 windows , back door and front door system. LOOKS GREAT!! Working with Steve the project manager was a great experience and the crew stayed on pace even through the rain showers. I highly recommend Lonestar for all your window, door and outside projects .

Our experience with Lonestar Siding & Windows was excellent from start to finish. Steve, Project Manager really know the meaning of great customer service. The crew removed old vinyl soffit, installed vent vinyl soffit. They removed and reinstalled gutters with the screen, downspouts, and the 12 foot awning below the soffit.
The work crew were neat and knew their job. They cleaned up and removed all the debris. Steve came back and did a complete review of the work.

We had Lonestar remodel a Sunroom/Florida room. We replaced five sliding glass doors with two doors and four windows. Both doors were custom made. Both doors were installed improperly. The interior French door arrived and would not fit, nor was it set to open on the correct side. No one could figure out why it didn't fit. (The door was too large, they mismeasured, no one would admit they made a mistake.) After removing some of my header, it fit in and they tried 3 times to install, with very poor results. The Installers removed a few, hinge screws and used 3 inch screws. The jamb was all warped and the door would spring open on its own. I had to contact a supervisor to get it fixed. The other exterior door was always hard to open, and the threshold weather stripping started peeling off. In 6 months, the lock bolt wouldn't close. Discovered they had pushed it down as much as possible and greased the bolt, to aid its travel. They did return and fix the door, so it would close properly. However, these issues shouldn't have happened in the first place. They are very simple door installations, which I was told they are "professionals" at. I worry about the windows now. I am not sure if these other reviewers got the A team and I got the C team, but I would not do it again.

From our initial conversation with the sales rep in November to the visit to adjust a storm door, I was impressed with the professionalism and communications from the company. Lead time on materials to replace windows and a sliding glass door was several months. Throughout the period Lonestar kept me informed that the project installation target was still good. Their installers replaced two doors and five windows in a single day. We have had not problems with the windows or sliding glass door. The storm door needed an adjustment. When I called the adjustment was scheduled and completed. My experience is Lonestar does what they say they are going to do when they say they're going to do it. I also appreciated that no payment was requested until the work was performed. Being able to do business with a locally owned company was appreciated. I'd use them again.

I replaced ten windows in my home recently. From sales to scheduling and through installation Lonestar was prompt and professional. I got quotes from 3 companies. One was way overpriced. Lonestar and the other company were competitive on price but I trusted the people and liked the product better at Lonestar. It was a great decision. They kept me updated each week on the status of my order. Install ended up happening about three weeks earlier than their initial projection.
I've always been very satisfied with Lonestar's work, and I'll keep using them in the future.

We had vinyl siding, vinyl porch railing, and gutters installed. Jake and the crew were excellent. If we had any questions or concerns, Jake was super fast to get them answered or taken care of. We have gotten so many compliments on all of the work they did. Would highly recommend Lonestar to anyone!!

They did a phenomenal job, They worked on my home as it were their own. I couldn’t be happier with the results. In all honesty, I’m usually not a fan of contractors as I’ve had bad experiences in the past and usually do the work myself. Lonestar gave me a renewed faith in the business.

Excellent quality door & installation. They tried to re-use the interior trim, but it didn't come out to my liking due to a gap at the bottom so they came back quickly & installed new interior trim. Good communication throughout from order to installation & follow up. Recommend.

Lonestar replaced bad deck step risers and trim boards on our composite deck. They did an excellent job for a very fair price and I would recommend them to anyone needing remodeling or repair work on their homes. I have used them before to replace doors and railings and they always do a great job for a very fair price. I will use them in the future if a need arises.

I had a piece of siding blow off my house. They made & installed a new piece. Nailed down several loose pieces. Prompt, easy to work with & really nice. Would use them again any time for any of their services. On my list of go to businesses.

We hired Lonestar for our vinyl siding. During the sales process they were honest, professional, and provided value, not a sales pitch. They certainly weren't the cheapest, if that is what you are after. They had the highest quality, bar none.

The trio who worked on our house became like family to us. We absolutely love them. They worked hard, were immaculate, and always went the extra mile.

We had Lone Star install vinyl siding, aluminum wrap trim and vinyl windows. This was on a 1940's era built house. During the sales consultation the salesperson promised that their expert aluminum trim workers would be able to wrap and preserve all the architectural details about the house. This was far from the truth. The small wooden details were either chopped off completely or were poorly wrapped with jagged aluminum edges and adhered together with caulk. A lot of the edges of the shingles were broken or bent when the aluminum wrap trim was installed. Our biggest issue by far though has been the water damage due to improper installation of drip edges and trim along fascia boards. We now have multiple walls with peeling paint from water coming in from the edges of the roof where the aluminum trim was installed. In some places the aluminum trim extends past the shingles/slate allowing water to slip right in. Every window that was installed in the area of the house with vinyl siding has experienced water damage with peeling paint and interior window trim board separation due to water ingress. Much of the interior trim around the windows was damaged during removal of the old windows. We were warned of this, but what was not appreciated was the damage was sealed with caulk which soon after just separated from the wood. If you have an older home with wooden details and original windows, do yourself a favor and have them refurbished and repainted. Vinyl siding is not the answer, it unfortunately can't match what you already have.

We need a beam wrapper and siding patched after redoing our front porch and they did the work perfectly and I am picky and you don't see the attention to detail they have a lot anymore. Great job and would highly recommend.

We recently had Lonestar enclose our porch and the quality and craftsmanship was exceptional. The crew were fantastic. They did a great job and we are so pleased and will enjoy our enclosed porch for many years. Excellent customer service and everyone there is so professional. We highly recommend this company.

Lonestar Siding & Windows built me a totally composite deck on the back of the house. While I waited for almost four months for the crew to arrive, once underway the job went very well, even at the loss of two days to rain. The quality and craftsmanship was exceptional. I should be quite happy with this deck for many many years to come.

My wife and I had a horrible experience with this company, they completely took advantage of us. They described themselves as the best around and had a great up front presentation to play the part, but beyond the initial quote and paperwork they were about as rude and unprofessional as it gets!! I will go out of my way to make sure everyone I know, in my personal and business life, never puts mistaken trust in this company as we did!

From start to finish, the folks at Lonestar were great to work with! The initial consultation meeting and bidding process was handled quickly and effectively. Once the work began, the crew was courteous and did an amazing job! We will definitely refer Lonestar to friends and family...and we will certainly use them for future projects on our home.

My siding work was done smoothly and at a fair price. I would recommend this company as it is top notch.

They refused to give me an estimate over the phone, then when they came out they gave me a 20k plus estimate for a 16x12 deck. Even with the best materials available, the deck in parts literally can not cost more than 3k, which leaves 17k in labor. This is insulting and a waste of everyone's time involved. Feel free to look up the price of decking, even PVC based boards can be had for $80 for a 16 foot (Azek is a well respected brand with a 50 year warranty).

I'm sure they're going to respond to this review saying they only use the highest quality materials, but at the very least make sure you do your own research on the luxury brand they will try to sell you.

If they at least gave estimates over the phone or email (even a general ballpark in this case would have been plenty of warning), we could have saved wasting time like this.

Having received multiple quotes for our Window/Door, Siding and Railings projects we have gone with Lonestar for all of them. The windows are top notch and installed with precision. The window wrapping is PERFECT! The siding was done with the ultimate care and precision. Our new outdoor speakers were installed to perfection and required additional structural support that was installed without hesitation. The quality of the railings is far superior to what can be purchased at the big box stores and were installed quickly and correctly. Give Lonestar a chance for your business, you will be happy you did.

Excellent customer service! The original work and crew were fantastic. And even several years later, they still stand behind their work and have fixed a couple minor issues with a simple phone call.

Lonestar replaced our windows. siding, gutters and built a new front porch for us with vinyl railings almost a year ago. They do excellent work! We couldn't be happier with them. When you call they answer or get back to you quickly. The crew were all well mannered, hard working and knowledgeable. The products are excellent quality too. Can't say enough good things about them! Lonestar recently replaced all of our windows and most of our siding. We also had our front porch and railings replaced as well as a portion of our roof and two skylights. They did an amazing job and were super neat and tidy. I can’t say enough nice things about Greg Paul and his team. I would absolutely use them for any future exterior projects. They were great!

Extremely professional, did an amazing job with the siding of our house as well as replacing rear screen door, helping replace the roofing on our addition. They worked very closely with us and electricians to help make the whole job go smoothly and seamlessly. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Great communications as well. Highly recommend!

The house turned out awesome however getting was not to smooth. The workers were a little reckless. Also you have to pro active there is not a lot of communication with the workers and project manager. I'm still waiting for my meter box to be attached to my house almost a month now. Sorry I really like Greg and company but what right is right. They took care of all my issues. I would recommend Lonestar.

GREAT work! Very professional! Workers worked on July 4th in 100-degree heat to get our siding job done on time. High quality materials. Front office staff are very friendly and easy to work with. They also offer financing. Will be definitely looking to get a quote on windows with them.

Lonestar is a GREAT company that takes care of their customers throughout the entire purchasing/installation experience and beyond. We couldn't be happier with the windows they installed, and when one of them had a seal fail due to a manufacturer defect, they honored the warranty without hesitation (even though the manufacturer had since gone out of business). It is hard to find good customer service from companies today. Lonestar is one of the exceptions. From the top to the bottom, Lonestar provides just that, great customer service. The installers are so friendly and likeable that they almost become family members. They make the job look easy. Rebecca in the office is extremely helpful and pleasant. Greg is a super nice person and sets the standard for the company. Would I recommend them to you? You bet! I sure will use them again when I change out the rest of my windows.

I had Lonestar do both my roof and siding, and could not have been happier with the job they did....I was worried about "the mess", especially with the roof (and having a little dog) but they managed to contain most of the debris and did a great job cleaning up. They were professional and courteous, and stand behind their work. I found them to be a pleasure to work with, even with follow up questions I've had after the fact. A good company with good people

I cannot say enough good things about Lonestar. I interviewed five top rated companies for this project and I am so glad I chose Lonestar. They were prompt, professional and delivered everything as promised. They even assisted us with some things that were outside of their contract. The contractors on our project were so great that we really missed them when the project was completed.

Replaced front porch with maintenance free ceiling, posts, railings and steps. They were not the least expensive quote we obtained, but were also not the highest. We went with Lonestar because of the professionalism, quality of the products they use, and the positive reviews. The project didn't start as soon as we wanted, but they kept us informed throughout the waiting period. They did an excellent job, with meticulous attention to details, such as alignment of each piece of railing or post and cleanness of the caulking throughout. They even added decorative covers to the posts at the bottom, which they didn't charge for. It was a pleasure to work with them. Photos included. We had a great experience having Lonestar Siding and Windows install replacement windows! They went above and beyond accommodating our schedule the day that they came out. I would definitely recommend using them for any of your home improvement needs!

Called in to schedule an estimate on a reface/rebuild of a deck. If you're not calling about your primary home don't waste your time. Apparently their products are superior to others and only good for primary homes not investment properties. Lady spoke down to me as if I offended her or didn't have any money to spend. I have more than enough to cover this project and value my investment properties. She refused to give me service. I'll be more than happy to give your competitors my cash!!!!

I met a few contractors at our house to bid on a residing and window replacement for our home. Greg Paul with Lonestar Siding & Windows was by far the most professional and thorough of the contractors. He explained his products and applications and the installation was exactly as promised. The three man crew was very experienced and methodical about their work. They cleaned up the site every evening, no clutter or debris, which pleased my wife. I have already recommended their services to many of our neighbors. You hear plenty of horror stories about home improvement contractors. I have full confidence in this company.

This is a VERY good company to work with. We initially used Lonestar about 15 years ago to have vinyl siding, shutters and trim installed on our house. They were so courteous, honest and awesome. Since then when we need something done to our house we do not even get any other quotes, we just give Lonestar a call and they take care of it. We have also had them install windows, gutters, gutter guards and downspouts, new front porch, two sliding patio doors, and front storm door. They actually do what they say they will do and they do it very well. You will never go wrong if you hire them to update your house.

Top notch. Had siding (crane board) doors and sliding deck door installed. Also a new front landing with firewood box. My experience was similar to reviews already posted.
I will note the positive input from the owners. There was a long delay in the initial start and Greg kept me posted in detail of the reasons for the late start. Also he was out the day after finishing to check the work. He made a list of things invisible to my eye.

We found Lonestar on Angie's List and we were not disappointed. Everything went exceptionally well. Steve's team was amazing and Greg Paul was exceptional at keeping us in the loop the entire time. The professionalism of this company is one not often found these days. At the end of each day, they totally cleaned up everything, including sweeping the driveway behind the house. You couldn't find a stray nail, piece of trash, or any equipment anywhere! After the windows were installed, they were completely cleaned off and the area around each window vacuumed. I came home from work to find all the windows installed with no clean up necessary. One of the windows (cherry wood laminate) had a small scratch on it. Steve said he would not install it and ordered a new one. My husband said he had to look hard to find the scratch and was pleased that Steve not only found it, but was proactive in getting it replaced. We had to wait a while on that window and the front door and even then, no money changed hands. Greg meant it when he said we did not pay until we were totally satisfied. The quality of work is excellent. We were very impressed with Greg's work ethic. As he said, it's their name on the sign and he wants it to be right. We had three separate estimates done for this job. One was much cheaper, but when I spoke to several people on their reference list I found a great deal of dissatisfaction. The other company was slightly higher. Robert Tabler did a great job explaining the products they would be using and answered all of my questions. He had samples with him and was able to work up the price while he was there. We love the new look! I believe in the adage - you get what you pay for. This is the kind of job where you want it to be the best it can be - Lonestar made that happen. Could not be more pleased!

Lonestar basically replaced the exterior of our home. First they replaced our siding, windows, deck and porches. Their pricing was competitive and the work was top-notch. Greg Paul communicated with us every step of the way, answering our questions, keeping us informed of progress and any issues they encountered. They also replaced our old bow window and atrium door with sliding glass doors which totally updated the look of our home and made it much more bright and airy. The crew was courteous, helpful and very neat. It was the best experience we've ever had with a contractor. So we had Lonestar back recently to replace our roof. Another wonderful experience completed quickly, cleanly and at the price quoted. I can't recommend Lonestar enough!

From the time we contacted Lonestar we were very pleased with their professionalism. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, at the time they stated. Our windows are wonderful!! We had a problem with a few screens. We called and Greg came within a matter of days. We couldn't be more pleased and would recommend the company highly. In fact, siding is next on our list and we would not consider anyone else to do the job!!

This past year my wife and I hired numerous contractors for different projects. We had a pool installed and new fencing, some painting, etc. We hired Lonestar for our siding and windows and doors. They were first class in every way. They cleaned up every day, better than most others do even when the job is complete! When they had to move anything it was always replaced perfectly because they took a picture of everything before it was moved. And they made significant progress every day. They were so good that when they finished the job we were 100% satisfied with the job and actually hated to see them go. Their cost was very fair, their attention to detail was excellent, and the quality of the work was excellent. You must think these are friends of mine but I never met them before. They just do such great work I cannot praise them enough. I am a former mathematics teacher and was not known to hand out easy grades, but Lonestar gets an A++ . We are proud of our home and it looks so great. These folks are the best!!

We contracted with Lonestar to do a large project on our 19 year old house. They replaced the roof, siding, three sliding doors, the front door and 31 windows. Greg and his team were always in contact with us, provided quality outstanding craftmanship. They were in constant contact as we worked through weather delays.
